I just hate the fact that to get an answer for monthly membership, you need to hear a whole script then be told how the prices vary, then be told someone will have to call you back. I had a membership & cancelled but my son would like one now, I was willing to see if it would work but I feel like I’m at a timeshare event, Everything a secret… then you sign!

One of the best gyms I have ever trained at- however- people give off an elitist vibe which is kind of a turn off. 4/5

While the fitness areas are more crowded than I’d prefer, the spa is super underrated. Been working specifically with therapist Huber regularly and he hits the right blend of being therapeutic and relaxing. He can dig in while also very attentive to what you’re looking to achieve. Try FFC union station for better fitness experience.

Always a clean facility and the general manager Mike always makes everyone feel welcome! The front desk receptionist area always there to greet you, and the pool in the summer is a great experience. There's also a pilates studio and spa area for massages. Great experience!

By far the best FFC in the state. Amazing atmosphere, great staff, and always clean. One of the best gyms to workout in, been coming here for years and have no intentions of leaving!

Great West Loop gym with excellent equipment, convenient hours, friendly staff & always very clean. Thanks to the Cafe staff for all the protein shakes, its my favorite part of the workout!

I was a guest. I was impressed with the facility! So many perks! I was able to enjoy a recovery smoothie. I have many dietary restrictions aftery a suurgy, Nicole was extra accommodating, and made sure I left.

This club is so nice! Staff is friendly, the locker room is clean and spacious, the floors are open and airy with natural light, and the mind/body studio is quite pleasant. The outdoor pool is my favorite. It gets great sun and you can order smoothies and snacks right to your lounger. Nicole is the cafe manager, and she's super welcoming. It's just a really fun vibe at the pool!

My home gym is the Park Ridge location but decided to come to WL FFC for a work out before work. I had signed up for the Signature membership but primarily went to my home gym so hadn’t explored other FFCs. The front desk wouldn’t allow me in, asking for an additional charge because I was not registered to the gym. I showed her a copy of my contract which she wouldn’t accept. I wasted my time waking up early and going out of my way to come here. She said there wasn’t anyone for me to talk at the time clarify discrepancy. I will likely be cancelling my membership because I pay too much for this gym to be turned away for what sounds like an administrative error in my account. Don’t waste your time or money.

This is a $49 / month gym masquerading as a $199 / month gym and giving you "value" at $149. Missing key equipment, crowded, they're always cleaning it, so floors are soaking wet. Not a lot of towels to clean stuff. WEIRD People. They get 2 stars for the location, but that's about all it's worth. This area is RIPE for some real competition to come in and undercut.

This place is truly unbelievable and calls itself a health club and looks more like a Planet Fitness… Let’s start from the beginning I’ve been coming here since it opened back in 2011 and everything was great from staff to the gym itself..the staff was super nice, attentive, welcoming and the gym was very clean and fully equipped.. But now things have gone from great to worse staff is not as welcoming, attentive as it used to and there’s less equipment available since it’s super crowded almost every day so the machines are always super dirty like no one cleans them. And although they claim that cleanliness is their top priority they sure fall flat on this..and you might ask why..well they are always understaff and seems like only one short lady in the morning works since I see her going in and out the women’s locker room and to the laundry room to cleaning the floor.. To add to this lately they have been hiring people that only speak Spanish and seem to need a translator to understand what to do and what was said to them! Like really if I need help I’m not going to wait until somebody that is bilingual comes and translates what the problem/issue is.. Also why don’t you ever have a supervisor in the early morning when the gym opens for housekeeping? It seems to be the main reason why so many of them don’t do their job and are on the phone or watching videos online or even worse working out while still being paid. I mean with membership costs to the roof I don’t think it’s fair that we as members have to pay extra for a below than expected service.

Hours looked different today (Saturday July 6, 2024) so I called the location to double check. The lady who answered at 1:45 pm told me that close is 8 pm and not 6pm like the app showed. I plan my day around this, and of course the location closed early. Ruined my day. How can you be on shift and not know when you close?

This place has really gone down hill. The one true positive here is the cleaning staff - they do a great job keeping the place looking good. Almost everyone else on the payroll from management to the front desk is either completely inept or entirely indifferent to doing their job. Equipment is also often broken for prolonged periods of time, the layout of the gym itself makes no sense, and the showers tend to go from hot to scalding without notice. The pool is great, that is until it gets so crowded from all the outside nonmember day guests they let in on the weekend that you can't find a chair. They also keep raising prices, and for what you are actually getting in return it's pretty ridiculous. It's basically a way overpriced LA Fitness with a pool. We've decided to cancel. It's just not the same gym it used to be before covid.

Just clearly communicated my order to the girl with braids at local 84 counter. Ordered a protein shake. First of all the girl was not friendly, moving too fast and ruined my order. First terrible experience here! Hope they find someone else to run the counter.

Best gym in West Loop.. indoor and outdoor pools. It would be nice if the staff policed weight droppers and guys that bring their bags to the gym floor.

I became a member at FFC in March of this year. I enrolled in the membership that comes with one massage a month. During my first massage, Huber T., the massage therapist asked me on a date and made comments about my body. This made me feel uncomfortable and I was counting down the seconds for the massage to be over. After the massage, I contacted the West Loop FFC location and was then redirected to HR, where both me and Huber were interviewed about the situation. Huber still works at FFC as a massage therapist. I was told by the South Loop manager, my home location, that my membership would be comped and I wouldn't need to pay anything for a few months until I decided if I was comfortable enough to stay at FFC. Fast forward two months, I check my paystubs because I have a discount through my job and the fees come out of my paycheck directly. FFC has taken 171 out of each of my paychecks for the last 2 months, 513 dollars, much higher than what the membership even costs. So not only am I being overcharged for a membership that I was told would be comped, but while trying to get a refund I am being sent on a wild goose chase and FFC is avoiding giving me a refund of the full amount. I am unhappy and I was hesitant to write this review, but it seems like the only option at this point. I should not have to beg for a refund, especially when I was told I wouldn't be paying a penny until I made a decision.

I have been a member for 5 years and here is my honest feedback and review: (both west loop and Union locations) Let me start with the positive. The housekeeping staff are great and they do try to keep things clean and tidy. The upper level management and membership services are extremely disappointing and in disarray. I should also point out that they do not invest back into their facilities so things are frequently broken for prolonged period or working less than optimal. This includes steam, leaky showers, water fountain/ temperature, hand sanitizers etc. In summer months, they let so many outside guests into their outdoor pool, that regular patrons like myself cannot find a chair to sit. On the other hand, I get 2 guest passes a month on my membership plan. Very seldom I have brought a guest and the front desk people just go into this confused look and frenzy that becomes terribly awkward. I literally have to show the email notification from FFC to claim it. My brother was recently visiting for 2 days and just wanted to “look” at the indoor pool so he could come the following day with me with proper gear if he chose to. The front desk lady called the Union Station manager and we were told that the 3 minutes it would take us to go glance at the pool would count as a USED single day guest pass. I was truly taken aback by this despicable response. Lastly I asked the membership to switch from charging my bank to the credit card. It has become such a grueling task that I have literally given up asking their management people out of sheer embarrassment. Just STOP playing back and forth games and giving dishonest lip service. You tell me it’s “done”, “taken care of” and 4 months later the bank is still being charged when all you guys have to do is click another form of payment on your screen. I have on multiple occasions strongly considered canceling the membership. The way things are being handled here, at this time I do not recommend anyone to join.

It is pricey, but a luxury that is worth the price in my opinion. Great gym overall. You have to pay extra for the outdoor pool is my only complaint.

Today I popped in to do a bit of cardio, 20 mins before closing and the doors were locked. Lights were still on and lobby music still playing. This is unacceptable for a $240 membership. Do better! Ugh - Premier Member

Great gym but there’s a pretty big problem with this place. Whoever is playing music at this gym NEEDS to be replaced. The music here is so bad it’s not even funny. Been going here a little over a year now and coming every other day consistently and the music is dreadful. They need to get some real gym music in here like hip hop, soul, and rnb. This place also doesn’t have a cold plunge with their steam room. But other than that it’s a good gym

The facility is clean, decent. But their membership fees don't reflect the type of club service and ambiance I'd pay for at that price point. The retail corner is pathetic. The café food is horrible and at a closer glance the kitchen could use a deep cleaning. The staff just look so miserable. Management clearly hasn't bothered with training because I never get consistent information/details, others members are always bickering with the front desk about the [poor] service. I don't enjoy walking into this place. The vibe is just OFF!!! I need a better environment to maintain my fitness journey. I chose to end my membership because the energy of the place doesn't accommodate that. No one looks genuinely happy to be working there. And no wonder-The GM is rude and the Member Experience Mgr has no clue about anything. They didn't even ask me why I wanted to cancel; clearly they've gotten used to it or don't want to hear why. So I'll gladly take my money elsewhere.
