I definitely wouldn't recommend anyone to Kernisha!! I am highly disappointed in the way she does crochets and business. I initially came to Kernisha because I had a hair disaster at a previous salon. I came to her for crochet braids to cover up the disaster. During consultation I specifically asked if she was able to grip my natural hair for the braid pattern, because it was short in the back and sides and long on top. She stated that she would be able to do it with a weave bonding cap. I purchased and proceeded to my appointment. She installed the crochet braids and never ended using the bonding weaving cap. She led me to believe she was actually able to grip my attire hair. I looked in the mirror and things appeared to look great. However, two or three weeks in the braids started falling out. This is when I realize she did not braid my whole hair and left the back out. I thought myself was she afraid to tell me she couldn't grip it, so I decided to take them out and give her one more chance. I called her for second round of crochets and was very specific in what I wanted and asked again if I needed the bond weave cap so she could braid my whole hair. She stated that my hair should be longer and she should be able to grip it this time. She crocheted again and gave the appearance and even told me I should be able to wear my hair in a ponytail this time. So I felt around the edges of the back of my hair and felt like ok she finally did what I asked. Unfortunately, two or three weeks in again the braids started falling out again. Alot in the back in particular. This is when again I realized she braided along the back edge to make it seem like she braided my whole hair and I felt through it again and realized she left the middle of the back unbraided. I called her immediately asking for a repair and her response was oh I am not going to be able to grip. So this entire time she knew she couldn't grip the back of my hair and still charged me 150 for a half done crochet. I received the repair with no charge. I decided to go on her page today and saw where she posted a before and after picture of my hair on Facebook basically throwing shade about her being able to grip my hair. When the fact is she only did half of my hair for a high price. I immediately responded that it was a deceitful post. She called immediately but I will not be returning her call or back to her business. Kernisha actions were dishonest and very deceitful in regards to business and doing my hair. I pray that she realizes that this is bad business. If you are looking for hair stylist you can trust, she is not it. Please look elsewhere.

Fast, private service. Salon has it's own space for one on one service from stylist. No waiting with 5-6 other ppl in an open area for service. Kernisha answers all my questions related to the care of my hair and suggested reliable hair products to use in between appointments. I'm embracing my natural hair and had no idea of how to manage it; Kernisha has put me on a healthy, inexpensive path to wearing MY hair

Had my hair and my 2 daughters hair done. She was on schedule and it did not take 4 hours like some stylists. Very attentive and I absolutely LOVED my cut and style.

I believe it's the ultimate rudeness to run late for a person to run late for an apt and not even have the decency to poke their head out of their salon cubicle and inform their client that they are behind. After waiting 30 minutes past my apt time with no sign of when I would be taken care of, I gave up and left.
