I love love love my hair !! I went for small boho knotless waist length . I got there at 9:40 walk in and they sat me straight down and started on my hair . I recently cut my hair off so my hair is literally an inch and half long and they gripped it perfectly.My parts was also neat and pretty!! There was 3 people braiding it but you can’t tell cause all my braids look the same . I was done at 11:40 . Only 2 hours !! In and out .. My new place to come and the hospitality is 10 !!

My hair is always top tier. Patronizing for years now. But them hackling in that other language laughing and all.....I feel like they talking about me IDC IDC but the hair braiding always on point

Poor service performance, every time I go to them it’s 3 people in your head doing different parts, big, small, medium whatever you getting will not be the same size. It’s sad that we pay all that money just to be rushed out the chair and hair not met to expectation. I will not be returning

First African Braids have went up $90.on their prices ( from $150 to _240) but went down on their service. I'm definitely looking for a better braid shop. They have their kids working in there now & they're rushing on our hair and they have 3 different females on your head. POOR POOR SERVICE. They use to do such a good service back in the day

Yes, they are fast & expensive & work is terrible…3 africans who all braid bad & different…DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! Everyone has their opinion but for $270 my hair needs to look like I just left Anita in Hornlake, MS not like my grandkids played in my hair…None of my braids are the same size or length…They did not braid my hair to the end just a complete rush job & I told the owner it’s so very bad to make a bad first impression & loss a potential client because your braiders are not held accountable 4 doing a terrible job…I through my money in the trash but I want make that mistake again…For $270 plus I recommend Anita’s in Hornlake, MS.

They rush on your hair & it’s not worth the money. Also, they will have multiple people on your head with all different size braids. They will do the ones in the front the size you ask & the back will BIG. DO NOT RECOMMEND..

I asked one of the girls to wash her hands because of scratching herself and just finishing someone else’s hair. They washed my hair and refused to do it because I asked the girl to wash her hands.

I went to get small waist length boho knotless braids which ended up going past my butt which I paid $300. They had 3 different people braiding my hair which was the only reason I was in and out in 3 hours but their work is horrible. Each braiders section was parted different. So I had xsmall, small, medium and large throughout my head. I told them to leave my edges out n even pulled them out for her only for her to braid them anyway n it wasn’t knotless it was a box braid because it shouldn’t have been braided. The back of my head looked like a jigsaw puzzle. I didn’t realize it until the next day when I tried to put my hair up in a bun. So I called and spoke with angel she told me to come the next day to fix it. They took the ones that were messed up out n rebraided my hair but I didn’t have anymore curly hair so I had them to cut the curly pieces out. The braids were too heavy my neck n back started hurting. I also noticed that they didn’t braid my real hair all the way in the braids so my real hair was standing out the braids. This was a horrible experience and I feel like thru need to give me my money back seeing as tho the messed up my hair n I had to take it out 5 days later because I have to get it rebranded because I’m going to Cancun. This is ridiculous and frustrating. I’m beyond pissed. I would not recommend when I called to speak to the owner she was very rude kept hanging up on me saying we can’t keep the line others are calling she wouldn’t give me any of my money back only offered to give me a discount for them to rebraid my hair for me to come out with the same result very unprofessional why would I go back to them when I’m being treated like that DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!

I would recommend this braiding hair shop any day. I've gotten my hair done here twice (Senegalese twist and medium knotless) and I'm very satisfied. I've also brought my daughter to get knotless braids. We've gotten so many compliments on our hair wherever we go. I will not go anywhere else because this shop will get you in and out in under 2.5-3 hours. No more sitting for 6-9 for me.

I DEFINITELY DONT RECOMMEND! However , I reached out for a walk-in spoke with the owner PASSY over the phone. I told her what I wanted (micros her price 270 med 300 small )and let her know I’m coming welll driving two hours away.Therefore, everything will be ok when I make it . So I arrive around 12ish 1 noon to get there in She decided to change her price due to length of my hair . Which isn’t long at all ! So I refuse to pay an 30-40 extra ….. instead of losing a customer she decided she will go head and get the job done . Therefore , we both agreed on small mircos and braided pass my hair . Business goes on an hour or two pass I’m getting my hair braided. I was asked to pay which was no problem at all (business is business) So I asked to see my hair to be sure my braids were done correctly. Remind y’all I’m a braider with 10+ years under my belt at an African shop . To be continued I acknowledge the braider about her work and shows the owner (passy) . My front (top) of my head was perfect my back was giving medium box braids literally (the parting was not it). Which I had every right to say something when I’m paying for what I want. However , passy goes off yelling talking crazy being very unprofessional! Not to mention she assisted that they cut my braids out my head . As if I done something wrong ! And refuse my service because I wanted all my braids the same size which we agreed on . She yelling in stated she does everyone braids like that smaller in the front bigger in the back …. (LIKE HOW ? WHEN I WORK FOR THE AFRICANS MYSELF) After a while I gave her time to calm down . Because she didn’t know nor understand my reason for making a 2hour drive . Plus , she needed to know as a owner that was VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! And I’m a braider from a near by African shop who been sending her customers for yearsssss When we to busy and can’t assist .(which she didn’t know me at all ! And I was treated as such ) . I decided to call the shop I braid for find out she knows us well . They spoke with her told her I’m good people she calms down and agree to get me right . On the behalf of my braiding family i stayed for business . since we were short handed and my circumstances (death in the family ) Business continues on my head with the same two individuals ( remind you she spoke with them and everything suppose been good ) . Again the braider at the top perfect the back braider supposed fixed the issue . So I’m letting them do their job (because no braider like a bugging customer). they braiding two more individuals gets on my head that makes four of them total on one head . I’m thinking maybe they finna take the ones she cut down. Basically I’ve been here long enough or they tryna save time for the other two braiders . Don’t y’all know instead of them taking the braids down that were cut. They added hair and continue braiding (RED FLAG ) at this point I’m over it . 8.5 hours later they finally finish I PAYS something said take a look at my hair (THE BACK )and the rest is history I DO NOT RECOMMEND NOBODY TO DO BUSINESS AT ALL WITH FIRST AFRICAN BRAIDING !!!!! They didn’t braid pass my hair they tried to act as if they didn’t see the braids they cut (IN THE BACK OF MY HEAD WHICH BRAID OVER ) after they had already dipped and curl my braids . Remind you this all after I had paid ! For them to tell me WE SORRY WE DIDNT SEE THE ONES THAT WAS CUT ! But how didn’t you ? When you simply braided my hair down to dip for curls …… BAD COMMUNICATION BAD SERVICE BAD BUSINESS! If I could post my pictures I definitely would so hold tight I may can .

I had my hair braided in small layered cornrows. This style usually takes 8 hours but they got it done in just 5! The shop was clean, everyone was professional and the prices are fair for the great quality of braids. I will definitely come again. ❤️

My braids are very beautiful. I got to the shop at 7 am was out before 11:45 am. I had locs,but I cut them off so I was eager to get braids. My only complaint is that my braids in the back are super tight! I usually just sit through getting my hair braided but the young lady who was in the back of my head...man I think she gripped a little too much because a week later I cannot put my hair in a ponytail and I'm not tender headed at all. Ladies let's just be mindful of wanting to grip all of the hair but not so tight that a client is squinting and closing there eyes because I did that alot and I was very still and quiet, but still great work.
