Stacey did a good job with cutting off my thinned out ends due to a previous microlink install from another salon. I ended up paying 120 dollars for a full microlink extension removal when I only had about 15 extensions in my hair because I already removed the majority of the extensions myself. Would have preferred at least a discount on that since it wasn’t a full removal. Also was charged a length and density fee when I have short and thin hair to begin with. So I’m sure it would be expensive to continue coming here for hair styling in the future if the goal is to grow my hair out again. Will consider coming back maybe once I get a rich sugar daddy, but for now I will look for a different salon. That silk press is silky though I’ll give her that!

Stacey is so sweet! She was patient and so helpful in explaining how I can get my natural hair moisturized. My hair looks healthy and beautiful after doing a protein/ deep conditioning treatment. I'm looking forward to my next appointment!

Had an emergency with my hair came in person for a consultation we set a time and date I set the date with the owner of the establishment she had to correct the time and date which being the owner I thought wouldn't be a problem the day comes of my appointment and she tells me I'm blocked out of their system I scheduled with another stylist on accident so she said she couldn't do my hair and if I wanted to get my hair done I had to pay $155 cancellation fee and then I will also have to pay her another $155 when it was just a simple mistake seems like a big scam to me and they don't want any new clients. At least she wasn't rude at all when informing me of this.

I’ve gotten my hair done by Zhamani 2 times before and i did not have bad service so imagine my surprise when i came to my appointment to find that zhamani had contacted me 2 minutes before my appointment time to tell me she would be 30 minutes late. I said okay and killed time in the area since I’m not from there and i commute to this hair appointment. Once she arrived i noticed she was rushing on the back of my head. I was booked for a retwist she did not part my hair at all in the back she put the foam product on and twisted as fast as she could to get done. She did however part the front and the areas that i could see for myself 😏. The next day my girlfriend mentioned didn’t you get a retwist? She showed me the back of my head and and it was so poorly done. When i told Zhamani that the hair was not done properly and i am going out of town on vacation i cannot make it all the way back to Newport News to do it again she basically told me to buy products and do it myself. She refuses to refund me at all! Which is terrible customer service. I basically paid her so i could re do it myself. I’ve tried to talk to zhamani and she will not respond. I will be reporting Flawless Hair Studios to BBB for shady practices as well as state board and my bank! Terrible customer service and i would not recommend her services. I have pictures and screenshots of all of our interactions and i will be reporting this business.

Stacey did my silk press and it was silky, bouncing, and pressing. I loved it! But beware, she charges for EVERY THING! Long hair fee and density fee even if your hair is thin and more of a short-medium length. You'll get charged a late fee for being 1 minute late even though she couldn't start on time. You've probably seen those funny parody videos where the stylist charges ridiculous fees such as an oxygen fee, a chair fee, eyelashes fee because you let someone else do your lashes... yea, those parodies are rooted in truth. You'll be shocked out of a couple hundred dollars real quick.

BAYYYYBEEEEEE!!!! LISTEN HERE...I found myself in a crunch with it being Father's day weekend and taking a last minute trip to the 757 from Baltimore MD. The night before, I booked my appointment. I was very anxious because I've been let down by "locticians" before. BUT Ms. Khamani did not disappoint. My good sis was EXTREMELY knowledgeable. So much so she informed me that me going between palm roll and interlocking was not good for my hair. She informed me of the method that would work best for my hair. She even put me on to some black owned hair products. I'm so happy I chose this shop and I'm even more happy to have sat in Khamani's chair!

Keisha has been maintaining my locs for about eight years now and my sister's locs over 10 years. She's given me various hair styles, with my favorite being on pipe cleaners. I'm constantly getting compliments, and people are always asking for my loctician's name. I refer her without hesitation.

They finger detangle hair here! My naturals know what that means. Don't walk, RUN to this place. They do an amazing job, even asked about allergies which no place has ever done for me. They are very professional and actually went to school and are licensed. My hair has definitely grown and feels soft since my last encounter.

A lot of businesses make consumer weary to support smaller enterprises. Attempting to schedule an appt for a prepaid service and called 3x at the provided number given to book an appt, and no one can provide information on how to book an appt nor will they book one over the phone. Comes off like a business who doesn't need new costumers. Best of luck using the services.

Everyone at Flawless is so helpful and professional. I got stuck in Newport News and needed Frontals and Bundles. Keisha and the team of ladies were so responsive to my needs. They open on time, have a good website and the hair quality is GREAT. Would definitely recommend.

My appointment was at 1:15, was seated at 1:30, was out the door by 1:48. These were my lashes 2 hours later. 2 HOURS!!!! waste of money and time. ~pictures are not posting but half of my lashes fell out~ Instead of rectifying the situation, I was called and blamed for the issue. It is apparently “my fault” and “sketchy” that I continued my day as normal and the lashes came out. Also I was told I “didn’t call” but I called and was told they would call back and when they didn’t I posted my review. I’ve had lashes before and could shower, put makeup on, and sleep and have no issues for 3 weeks. Apparently these are put in so well that I’m not allowed to do those things and the lashes will be fine!!!!! My bad, as long as you don’t do anything you’ll be okay :) love and best wishes :)

I went to Keisha Roberts for a Shampoo, Scalp Treatment, Silk Press, and dusting of ends. She had a walk in, who “walked in” maybe 5 minutes before I did as my appointment was for 0900. It took about 10 minutes for her to finally get me to the shampoo bowl, even though she wasn’t done with her walk in which I appreciated. I let her know I lightly pre-poo’d my hair to make sure it had moisture on my hair and my scalp because I just got off of a 17-hour flight and I know airplane environment has a tendency of drying out my hair. She left clarifying shampoo on my hair for over an hour as she tended to a walk-in, then proceeded to use no real form of conditioning or moisturizing agent. My appointment called for a dusting of my ends, but she took it upon herself to cut my hair without telling me or letting me see. She did the initial cut of my hair after only blow drying it. Her excuse was essentially that her flat iron wasn’t strong enough to get through my hair so to deal with the damaged ends she needed to cut it before. She was uncomfortable with me asking questions because she wasn’t feeding me information about her process. Her response to me was “you must of had a bad experience with a hair dresser.” What I had to explain to her was that I’m not familiar with her and her methods so I’m asking questions to gain clarity, especially since it was my first time going to her. At some point I realized she isn’t familiar with natural hair, her expertise is with loc maintenance. She proceeded to clean up the ends trimmed prior to flat ironing but used her finger to comb through my hair instead of the comb. And to end the actual description of my appointment she never gave me a scalp treatment, but fortunately she didn’t charge me for it. Everything about this experience gave me extreme anxiety. I am making this review a few days after the appointment, as I notice all the inconsistencies with my hair. After all the cutting she did, my hair is uneven, I have strands severely longer than others. I don’t normally make reviews unless a service is absolutely exceptional or, conversely, abhorrent. She should advertise her services for loc maintenance and color only. I have been natural for 5 years, and my hair has never looked this way after having this service done. Though I appreciate her time, I will not recommend her nor rebook her for any service again.

Keisha Robert's services came highly recommended. I was attending a wedding, and badly needed my hair re-twisted and styled at short notice. From the beginning to the end of my appointment, I was blown away by the experience provided by Keisha and her assistant Mani. Not only did they provide the services that I had scheduled, but they also noticed a product build-up issue in my locs and rectified the problem right away without question. I was very impressed by the amount of care that the establishment provided because it was a symbol of how much they value their customers. I was not the only appointment at the time, but I was delighted by the way that they were able to multi-task, and provide adequate services to us both. Also, the amount of knowledge that Keisha holds is very impressive. This was the most insight that I have ever gotten in regards to the loc process. Keisha was able to answer every question while walking me through the after-care process step-by-step. Upon leaving, I felt very informed. After almost a month, I still get compliments on my hair because of the quality of work that was done. The only downfall is that I do not live in the area to have regular access to their services. Not only have I already recommended friends in the area, but I highly recommend anyone looking for a knowledgeable, professional, customer-service oriented stylist who emphasizes quality to try Flawless Hair Studios & Hair Boutique. You will not be disappointed!
