Pros: Nice person helped me, clean, loved the eucalyptus soap, hot shower Cons: black lined tanks, exposed pvc piping, no music, no lights. If you can't handle being in pitch black, keeping the door cracked open helps, but makes it too cold. If you are looking for 100% sensory deprivation of total darkness, no sound, then this is a good spot for you. It was a bit too much for me.

A great spa experience!! The float tank session is a perfect way to disconnect and meditate. The staff was pleasant, friendly, and helpful. Definitely going again.

Absolutely wonderful experience! The float tanks are high quality and do an excellent job of eliminating light and sound. The water was the perfect temperature and super relaxing. The young woman at the desk was also really welcoming. I plan to return soon.

The Float Annapolis is a spa with a real relaxing vibe!! I recommend if you haven't tried tub salt float in a seal fridge like room with darkness a must. I floated away in deep thoughts as my body relaxed and stress just disappear!! Love it and will do it again. FYI 25% off on your next visit if you schedule there!!!

Tank it self was a classic sensory deprivation / isolation tank . Has the potential to have a overall relaxing atmosphere. Friendly staff No lighting option in tank , black liner made me feel like I was in dark plastic bag music was only played to indicate the session was over . Music being played could have made it more relaxing ease into the isolation tank experience . Reply , owner response : For the purpose of Relaxation color therapy /music / and lighting all play role in a calming atmosphere, black plastic bag tank .... could bring A lot of negative the association itself who wants to go in dark plastic bag . A lot of research with music therapy / color therapy so I’m sorry it’s not business tactic it’s to bring overall calming experience with the less possible negative effects . Overall has a lot of potential just needs some adjustments

First time there, just what I needed.

I really wish I had read the reviews prior to booking. Lots of excuses in responses from the owners. 1. The room was freezing. Soon as I undressed to shower I started shivering. Took forever to warm up the shower, even though I turned it on prior to getting undressed. 2. The chamber smelled musty/moldy. That's not a new vinyl smell. 3. The entire inside of the chamber is black. Black, to me, is not a relaxing color. It was actually a bit creepy. 4. There are no lights at all inside the chamber. I saw a response that called inside lighting a "gimmick" to get customers. No. It's called giving the customers what they want so they continue to come back and refer their friends. 5. There's exposed PVC piping inside the chamber. I know I saw several responses stating "it's the best in the industry". I highly doubt that. I didn't Float. Even with the door wide open so I had a little light, the smell was gross. I will say your staff attempted to make things right, but offering the sauna and a massage chair isn't the same. I left and called Paradise Float Spa. They got me in. I'm posting pictures of their Float rooms because their warm and inviting. Edit to add....#keepingitclassy great response. 👍

The young lady at the front desk was very friendly and inviting. But the place was not giving a spa like feel at all. The chamber consist of stool and a shower. Good luck not getting your clothes wet! The tank looked like a meat locker with trash bags as linings. Its was so dark and the smell of mold and rubber made impossible to relax. There is no music or soothing effects to help. I asked for a swim cap or even something for my hair ( I'm African American). Please note I called multiple times prior to coming, with noone answering. My visit lasted less than 30mins. The soap provided does not remove the salt from your hair or body! And given that it was 30 degrees out that day , leaving with wet hair wasn't an option. The kind lady offered 25 % off for the trouble in our next visit. But a sign post already stated that for everyone. I been to many spa and float places and this one was truly not worth it.

I have floated in other places, pod and cabin style. This place has the creepiest float cabins, they are lined completely with a weird liner that looks as if it were duct taped together in spots. The filter mechanism/machinery is IN the cabin with you. The cabin is very small ( felt smaller then a pod) and the liner is very disorienting when you float into it, ruining the sensory deprivation feeling. The cabin also had an odd smell, it could have been from the liner. There is rust on the doors, the mirror shelf is in poor shape and the products for showering were watery. Had this been my first float I would never have floated again. No blow dryer for wet hair, now where to sit and get yourself back together afterwards. This is a very no frills, poor quality float place in desperate need of upgrades.

Great place, wonderful owners

I really liked this. It was my first float. I just think they should have some sort of lighting in the tank for when you get in and then when it's time to get out.

I wish I could find more time to relax in the float chamber. Always a wonderful experience.

Loved it. Great experience.

Not a bad experience but I don't think I'll be going back. The Pros: clean room, friendly staff, good salt ratio that allows for buoyancy, and the temperature of the water was nice. The Cons: hard to see going in and out of the tank, the tanks take up so much of the room that its difficult to maneuver you items away from the shower (though I can't speak for the other rooms, this was the case for mine), and the worst part of the experience — the smell. The tanks are lined with a rubber that has a strong vinyl smell. I am sensitive to smells, smell can trigger migraines for me, and I could not stay in the entire scheduled duration of my visit. I think this place could benefit from some sort of airflow in the tanks to help with the overpowering smell. I was unable to completely relax because of the off-putting smell. This is the #1 reason I won't be going back.

This was a birthday splurge for me--and it was worth it. Loved being alone in my thoughts for an hour. But the ear plugs had to go for me--with them, I was acutely aware of my breathing and the pulse in my neck. Once they were out, I could relax.
