Float Sixty Chicago (River North)

The Float Sixty Lake Zurich location closed without notice to their customers with credits remaining on their accounts. The Corporate Office refunded some clients, but left others only with the option of utilizing their River North or Crown Point locations. After explaining these locations would require excessive travel, they still refused to refund. I recommend not purchasing packages from this company! Updated for response… I did not receive email or phone call regarding their closing. The friend I referred whom was refunded purchased the same day as I did. Your response is incorrect!

If I could give it no stars, I would. They never mentioned that there is a certain time period for existing pre bought floats or cryotherapies, so instead, they just deleted all of mine and said that they are no longer available. Emails were not sent until last week notifying the closing and email stated you could use facility until end of year.

It was an interesting experience but could have been slightly more enjoyable with better customer service. Was told that there would be a 'gentle' wake up at the conclusion of your float with no lights / sounds, but a VERY bright light came on at the end of my time which was jarring and confusing - the front desk agent said "yeah, sorry about that." Additionally, there was no one at the desk when I was leaving to ask about more sessions or more information, so I just kind of left.

Did not get the experience I was hoping for. I initially booked a float pod because in their video ad it said it will help relieve chronic pain or people who have fibromyalgia. I was like great, this could help my knees and other issues. When I get there no elevator accessible to get downstairs. It was behind a locked glass door. Instantly knees flare up going down the stairs. I asked them if I can take their elevator up due to my knees and they said they don’t have access to it downstairs. That Spybar only does. This wasn’t a good first impression. One of the workers took me in the room and it was difficult to understand her directions. I kept having to ask her to repeat herself and she didn’t make my first time feel at ease. No mat on the floor so I used my small face towel that was given to me to not slip. Extremely slippery with the slippers that were given. I advise to bring your own stuff since I was not prepared. Also the light was not working in the pod. And didn’t realize they have a tap light button in a zip block bag until 15 min in. I ended my session 30 min early, didn’t feel comfortable. Afterwards, one of the workers said oh this happens. The workers didn’t seem like they wanted to be there and one of them wasn’t too nice to the other who had a neck brace. She politely asked her if she could actually give me a tour of one of the rooms and she denied her. Poor girl. I may give this a shot again, but at another facility that’s not Float 60.

I love this place, everyone is so nice and helpful. I’ve never done anything like this and I know I asked silly questions my first few times but they explained everything to me without making me feel dumb. I have been working out a lot more, just lost 20lbs and this has helped with recovery more than I thought it would. I love their membership plans. Definitely worth it!

I had a couple lovely experiences here doing the sauna and ice plunge! The staff was very kind and I was able to come early both times! It was so relaxing, while really tough!!

There’s nothing like floating! I recommend the float cabin to give you a bit more space than the float pod. Pro tip, turn your devices off when floating-you will not want to be disturbed. This is an amazing sensory deprivation experience and is SO relaxing!

Came here today for a float session in suite 2. Olivia at the front desk was super sweet and informative of the entire process since it was my first time. My session was very relaxing and time went by so fast. Will be returning.

If you’re considering doing a sensory deprivation float tank, especially at this place, know that you are making a fantastic decision both for your in-the-moment experience and how you’ll feel after it’s over. The staff is extremely calm and genuinely cares about you have the best experience possible for your specific needs. Long story short - after the time was up…I was SO relaxed to the point where it felt like I was drugged. This experience had such a potently positive impact on my mental and physical health. It’s days later…and I still feel zenned out from this experience. My quality of sleep was decent prior to this, but I’ve been getting better sleep than I have in years after this experience. I generally consider myself a very relaxed person but this experience brought my state-of-mind to another level of inner-peace. I will be doing this every month for the rest of my life. Anyone and everyone can immensely benefit from this. Please do yourself a favor on give this a try…the reviews speak for themselves…you will holistically feel SO much better afterwards.

Fantastic experience. Came out feeling fresh and relaxed. If you are feeling sensory overload from everyday life in the city, try a flotation tank. 🦾 Update: Brought my mum this year (2023), still awesome service and location. And my mom enjoyed her experience. Thank you Float 60.

I had my first float two months ago, I was instantly hooked and bought the monthly membership! It feels so good to do nothing and just float there. It's hard to relax at first but so important to take the time for yourself and clear your mind. Highly recommend!!!

This was my first time here and being terrified of water, this was soo relaxing and gratifying experience for me. It was a wonderful experience overall! John was amazing and super helpful. Def will be coming back. They have everything including dryer and hair products.Definitely recommend for everyone looking to relax in a calm space.
