Exceptional! I went in with hair in trauma. I had died it too dark, it was splotchy, I got horrible striped balayage at another salon, and just wanted hair I didn't hate. The team (and I mean team) took such good care of me - they consulted the best they had for damaged hair and lived in hair, and I left with seriously supermodel hair. They saved my hair life, and I will never go anywhere else for anything ever again. Oh! and they charged me for the services I got and not what I booked for, which some salons don't do and you end up overpaying.

I followed Deyana from the Brooklyn Fox & Jane to the Bowery location - she is very talented at coloring and styling. When I first saw her, she helped correct my existing hair color which had become far too blonde. She listens and is able to blend and create the look you're going for. She is very friendly and cares a lot about her clients. Highly recommend, Deyana!

I went in for a gloss and a hair cut and the experience was very great! Everyone was very kind and it has a very nice atmosphere. It was my first time there and I was not disappointed. I was booked with Anjeza and she did great on my hair cut and was very sweet!

This salon is FANTASTIC! And my highest praises go to Silvia!! I am new to NYC as of June 2024, and was in need of a hairstylist. But I was quite cautious, as in the past, I’ve been majorly screwed over (in one case in particular, my hair was completely stripped and it took years to grow back healthy). I did my thorough research and stumbled upon Fox & Jane Bowery. I also saw such high praises for Silvia, that I had a feeling I would be in good hands, and Silvia most definitely didn’t disappoint! Silvia is SO sweet, so talented, and a pleasure to spend time with. If you’re in the market for a new stylist, I can’t sing enough praise for Silvia! She did both my cut and highlights, and I left one very happy (and future repeat) customer.

From the beginning, Liz has consistently given me a tailored haircut — she’s the first stylist I’ve ever had who truly sees what cut suits me and takes the time to bring it to life. She’s so careful and meticulous and makes sure every detail is perfect, even when I’m there for a small trim. Roxyy is equally amazing! She always makes my hair color turn out exactly as I want it. Even when something takes extra time, she’s dedicated to achieving the perfect result, and each visit feels like an improvement on the last. Both Liz and Roxyy take that extra step to deliver their absolute best work, and I truly appreciate the care they bring to my appointments. Although I’ve never had a hair appointment with Karla, she, like so many Fox & Jane stylists, creates such an atmosphere of positivity, warmth, and comfort. Her energy radiates throughout the salon, making it such a welcoming and fun place to be. I genuinely enjoy my visits to Fox & Jane Salon because of the amazing people who make it what it is!

After my hair was severely damaged by a previous stylist, I came to Fox & Jane to see if they could help me touch up my roots. I have naturally dark, thick, black roots, and the rest of my hair is platinum blonde. After a previous stylist (who didn't do my original platinum) completely ruined my hair, leaving me with severe breakage, I went to Fox & Jane East Village. They recommended a K18 treatment which we did, and then referred me to Catherine at Fox & Jane Bowery for my roots. Catherine is absolutely incredible — she was able to touch up my roots despite all the breakage and maintain my hair's health as much as possible, leaving it super gorgeous, smooth, and shiny. I can't recommend her enough; it's clear she has a lot of professional experience and expertise with bleaching/colour and different hair types, as my hair is naturally very dark and frizzy and many inexperienced stylists don't know how to work with it. I made a mistake going to a cheaper stylist before, and I paid the price for that by losing my previously intact hair. But, after I prioritized professional hair services, no matter how expensive, my hair has never looked better. While I understand the prices here are steep, it is for good reason — the stylists are excellent at their jobs and your hair will look (and feel) super beautiful.

Had a great experience at this salon from beginning to end. I went in on the day of my birthday and was nervous but Jasper was amazing and made me feel very comfortable. She did a blunt bob and I received so many compliments. Definitely recommend her!

I just followed Deyana from the Brooklyn location to Bowery, that’s how good she is! She saved my hair after it was over processed and fried and has finally restored it and given me the coloring that best suits me. Best part is they specialize in ACTUALLY low maintenance blonding, I was fine going at least 4 months given how great the color grew out. And, for NYC their pricing is extremely fair.

Karla, both a stylist and colorist, is fantastic. Her cuts are always on point, her color is so fresh and natural, and she’ll give it to you straight even if you’re not ready to hear it straight. Something I really appreciate it.

Katie Farrell from Fox & Jane was able to squeeze me in and did my hair in just 2 hours. She did exactly what I asked for & got me looking great just before the holiday. The overall vibe in there is very nice. The place is very clean & they are very accommodating. I already scheduled my next appointment for a few months from now. I very much recommend this place. Kieffer at Fox and Jane is an amazing stylist for curly hair (I have type 3a and 3b curls). I’ve had some pretty bad hair cuts in the past with people who don’t know how to cut curly hair. I’m usually wary of hair stylists, but the first time I met Kieffer all my fears melted away. He’s very knowledgeable and attentive. The first time we met I was looking to do highlights (I had never dyed my hair before), and he really assuaged my fears and made me feel comfortable. Seven years later, I haven’t looked back. I now live in Denver, and when I come back to visit family I always make sure to see him. He’s the best and is the only person I trust with my hair.

Great experience at Fox&Jane salon. Had my roots done and a blowout by Ariana, She really took her time, also on the blowout and I left feeling nicely pampered! Drink on arrival and while waiting for color, little massage with shampoo. Ensure you go to the right place (I accidentally went to their salon in LES) and be aware it does not have a window front but is instead upstairs (very large salon by the way)

Chelsea at Fox and Jane can do no wrong. I have been traumatized one too many times before but I finally found my hair person. She is phenomenal! I normally hate getting my hair cut or colored but alas, both are necessary. She listens to exactly what you want but is just SO so good I even eventually trusted her to go shorter than I normally like and she killedddd it! 🔥 So so happy!! She also advised me on best practices to care for my hair at home to work on growing it out and I'm finally getting the health, length, and color I want. Her styling also always lasts a long time and looks great.

GO SEE SILVIA for color! Silvia at Fox and Jane on Bowery is incredible, she's so thoughtful and mindful to her approach. She wants to teach you how to keep your looking it's best, all while staying healthy. I went in thinking I wanted "balayage" but Silvia wen't above and beyond - she gave me gorgeous "honey" highlights to lighten up my hair, used NO bleach, and it looks so natural. I'm so happy to have found my new favorite hairdresser!

I cant recommend this place enough!!! I wish i would have went sooner. Ashley was my stylist & she was beyond amazing. She listens to everything you want. I had a blonde balayage/ highlights situation going on when I came and I wanted to transition to a brunette but wasnt fully committed to a dark brown because I’ve been blonde for 7+ years. I asked for brownish base hair & dimensional pieces and lighter money pieces in the front but not too loud. I didnt want something that was going to turn yellow/ orange over time & was okay with a little ash. Overall 10/10. Every single one of the staff members I encountered were pleasant, good vibes.

Love the salon! Great service, relaxed experience - have been a client for at least 2 years now. I see Jenna and she’s really brilliant with layers on my fine, straight hair. Silvia is amazing! Super sweet and automatically knew what would look good for my thick wavy hair. She also had great recommendations to tame my frizz and we did treatments that worked amazing.
