I recently moved to the Los Feliz area and had been driving over 90 minutes to my previous hairstylist. I took a chance on booking Amy at Foxtail Salon and I have never been happier with a first time haircut. Amy is a true artist and just a wonderfully kind human being as well. I look forward to being a repeat customer here.

Cherie did a wonderful job on my bleach and tone. I’ve been going to her for about two years now and I am very very impressed. She always leaves my hair so beautiful and always recommends the best products for me. She also cuts my hair and bangs very nicely the salon is beautiful great location and good parking. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. She is also very helpful. If you want to change up your look, she has a great ideas.

I just had the most wonderful haircut with Will. I'd just moved to LA, leaving my old stylist behind, and I was very nervous about finding a new one. Will talked me through a few options and really listened to me while also giving thoughtful advice. The haircut itself was excellent, and I've been told before that my hair is tricky to get right. We had a lovely conversation, the time flew by, and I walked out feeling like a million bucks and looking fresh as hell. If you're looking for a stylist who knows his craft and really cares, you'll be in safe hands with Will.

I've had my hair cut by Zahra a couple of times now and she is hands down the best hairdresser I've ever had. I'm genuinely already worrying what I'll do if she ever leaves or stops cutting hair!! I have extremely thick, wavy/curly, dry hair that can be a total beast, especially if it's cut badly. Other hairdressers: - don't listen - cut it wet - PLEASE NO!! - don't understand how my curls/waves work - pull like crazy with their combs - spend 20 mins styling and put so much product in that I end up washing it out straight after Zahra: - listens and understands everything I tell her - like, SHE GETS IT - cuts it dry and is geeeentle - has amazing attention to detail - will spend every last minute cutting, making sure it's absolutely perfect - makes my hair look so glorious that I don't need to go back more than twice a year - is caring, funny, and great to talk to!

I’ve been going to Zahra for over a year at Foxtail, and I have never loved my hair so much! She has given me a perfect cut every time — she completely absorbed my inspiration photos at my first appointment and asked really good clarifying questions to make sure we were on the same page. Plus, the products she recommended have been a game changer for my hair. Her cuts grow out very well and keep my hair looking polished even without diffusing. And the way she’s enhanced my curls and waves has meant I don’t need to rely on curl creams! Photo is after a recent cut, post-wash and air-dry at home with minimal curl product.

Zahra gave me my dream hair! She’s always taken the time to understand exactly what I’m looking for in my next cut—I’ve never felt so heard in the chair. But what I really love is how, at my last visit, she suggested a new style for me and totally nailed it. She is a true artist and so incredibly talented. Your waves/curls are in excellent hands with Zahra. Plus, she’s so fun to talk to—your appointment will fly by!

Zahra was/is my stylist. Her approach is way the heck different than any other stylist I've gone to and I loved it, slightly nerve wracking lol but I trusted her and the process because while I didn't have the vocabulary to explain what I wanted and what I loved about my hair she completely understood me because she saw the same things. It's one of the best haircuts I've ever had. You have to trust the professional and give the haircut a day or two to "settle". Very happy

Best place in LA that I've gotten my hair cut/colored. Cheri is absolutely fantastic: she always knows what to do with my very-fun-half-curly-half-wave unpredictable situation and has consistently give me the best color I've ever had (somehow able to give the dimensionality of highlights with single color mixes). She also gives fantastic, hair-saving advice on what products to use (and not) that have made *such* a difference in my hair at home. Plus, she's incredibly warm and kind. I couldn't recommend her more.

Jeff is an outstanding artist. I have trusted my hair to him for years through different color phases and cuts. Now I just walk in and say "Do whatever you want" and I always leave with something gorgeous that makes me feel confident. I'm going grey now and I noticed I was having some styling issues. He actually explained the science behind hair protein structures, how and why my hair is changing, and what we can do about it. He's the real deal with so much knowledge. And he's fun to chat with.

Sean gave me amazing fringe bangs! I asked him to use his judgment to make my cut complement my hair type because I have fine hair. I think he did a great job and I got many compliments.

Zahra gave me such an amazing haircut I felt like I had to leave a review somewhere. I have wavy hair and for my entire life no one I went to took the time to dry cut and work with my natural texture, so I’d often have to “fight” the cut after to get it to look right. Zahra was super personable and communicative and not only made my hair look great but also the healthiest it’s felt in a long time. Even after air drying, my hair looks amazing with basically no effort. If you have wavy hair you gotta see her, I’m for sure coming back :)

I spoke on the phone with Tori and made an appointment for Sunday 8/14 at 4:30 pm for a haircut with Sara. I show up in front of Foxtail Salon and it is closed, there is a gate, the door is locked, the lights are turned off. I had confirmation of my appointment and tried calling back the salon numerous times and no one picked up. Basically they forgot about my appointment. This is incredibly unprofessional. I work long hours and this was the only time that worked for me to get a haircut so I planned my whole day around it. I am so disappointed in this place

I went there for the first time today and I really enjoyed my stay there. Zahra did a really good job and she knows curly hair very well in my opinion. I got a haircut and I really really like it and she was also very kind and asked questions and we had a nice conversation. The next time I am in L.A. I would go there again for sure. Very very good.

I see Cherri and Daniel for my hair needs. Daniel is the man to give life to my hair and Cherri is the goddess for my hair color needs. Parking can be tricky since it’s street only, and street cleaning happens on Wednesday and Friday. Otherwise you can park in the neighborhood for free. The shop is cute and appointment only. No walk-ins.
