Whenever I have actually been able to get my haircut it’s been great but on multiple occasions I have waited well over thirty minutes or been cancelled on last minute for a scheduled appointment. I really wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and keep going but this last time I waited 45 minutes after driving over an hour to Seattle just for her to cancel on me, there was another person there who also ended up leaving because their stylist never showed either. If you book with someone who will actually show up I’ve always been satisfied with the haircut itself but the unprofessionalism is not worth it!!

Love coming here!! Have been seeing Nam for the last 10 years. I hen I first started seeing him my hair was so damaged and I thought it was beyond repair . In a blink of eye he repaired my hair and I’m able to do so much with my hair ! I’m soo happy I found him ❤️ I recently heard that they are opening a second location and will travel to any lengths to see him .

I requested an appointment online several days in advance with Natalie for the listed 2:30 time slot for a trim for my afro, which she quickly accepted. I arrived at 2:15 and got a quick acknowledgement when I walked in the door, then was completely ignored for the next 25 minutes. At 2:42 Natalie finally came up to me in the waiting area and told me it'd be another 30 minutes at least, at which point I decided to leave. Absolutely terrible customer service and terrible communication. Why accept or even list a time slot in the first place if you're double-booking yourself, and if you know you're double-booked why not communicate that sooner? Zero respect for new client's time.

I had an absolutely stellar experience with Nereida. I went in with low expectations because most of my (very expensive) curly cuts have been fine but not necessarily super exciting, and I was expecting more of the same. Nereida has a very calm and soothing presence, and took the time to really listen and offer thoughtful feedback. She gave me what felt like the most deliberate and careful cut I've had so far, and I even felt safe enough with her to get curly bangs for the first time! (They're adorable) The salon has lots of little touches that give it a a very warm, safe and welcoming vibe. Highly recommend!

I’ve never had a curly cut done so I was nervous, but Miguel discussed every step with me to ensure I understood what he was doing and how to also do it myself. I appreciate his kindness and patience with the whole process. I walked out knowing more about my hair and I can’t wait to go back for another appointment in the future.

Wonderful experience getting a curly cut with Miguel! Hands down the best haircut I’ve had and feel like I finally got what I’ve been going for. My long, thick curls really needed this! Really great vibe here and I feel like I can go to the salon with any questions. Miguel is such a pro and will take great care! I don’t live in the area unfortunately but it’s definitely worth the drive and I’m looking forward to my future visits here.

I had my hair cut by Miguel at Foxycut two weeks ago and I am still thrilled with the results! My first professional cut in 4 years and first curly cut ever, and I’m so so happy! My hair was all one length and pretty scraggly, and Miguel gave me heckin layers that show off my curl pattern while keeping as much length as possible. The ambiance is lovely, the conversation engaging, and I’m happy with my hair for the first time in years! I’ll be back for sure. Thank you Miguel!

I had to leave a review right after my appointment because of how much I love my new haircut! I haven’t had the greatest experience growing up with getting my hair done - felt like I never got what I really wanted and no one has fully taken the time to understand my hair. Until now. After getting my hair done today with Richie, I’ve finally found my spot! She was able to not only give me the haircut I requested, but ensured that it would be the way I wanted it to look when it is both curly and straight - which is rare to find. Not only was Richie great, but the salon staff as a whole made being there feel personal and at home. Incredibly thankful to have a salon like this.

If you have curly hair, textured hair, or Black hair, Foxycut is your new favorite salon. Actually, if you want to get a great cut or style, this is your new favorite salon, but y’all know how difficult it is to find people who do stellar work on non-straight hair. I literally drive an hour and forty-five minutes *each way* to see them, because they’re that good. Beautiful cuts and styling. To me, that’s the most important. But there’s more going on here. Just walking through the door, you can tell that Foxycut is a warm community. The employees know each other and clearly support one another. Customers are welcomed by name and asked for updates on their families and various projects. It’s the kind of salon where relationships mean something, and a broad spectrum of ethnicities, identities, ages, and lifestyles are celebrated. I spent more than ten years trying to find “my” salon in Washington. This is it. Don’t waste time like I did.

This salon came highly recommended. I was looking for someone to work with my 11 year old son who needed a fresh cut and was interested in color. We scheduled a consultation with Cam who took our ideas and (so politely!) steered us towards a version that would look better. The cut she suggested was perfect, my son went from "frumpy" to "edgy" in her hands. We did the color appointment on a different day; my son had wavered in what he thought he wanted, and Cam navigated the line between letting the client choose and guiding what would actually work and actually look good. I was incredibly reassured when she (gently) noticed that what the pre-teen was describing would look awkward but was able to make a suggestion that would capture what he was going for more effectively. I felt that we were in the hands of a professional who genuinely wanted her client to walk out looking great. Navigating a duo-client like us (trying to please both a parent and child) is daunting and Cam worked with both of us perfectly. My son looks amazing and he *FEELS* amazing. The person who recommended this salon to us emphasized that the owner takes pride in training up awesome stylists, and our trust was well placed. I am eager to recommend this crew to anyone and everyone.

BEST HAIR SALON! Miguel and his team are amazing! They handled my 3c hair with the upmost care and really took their time! He even trimmed my dead ends off for no charge after I had a silk press! He is also extremely knowledgeable about hair in general. I’ll be coming back in a month for his curly cut where he also teaches you how to style! I’ve been too many hair salons in my life time and this is by far the most knowledgable, caring and offers the best customer service I have received. Stop looking and come here…you won’t regret it!

I was so excited at the prospect of getting my hair done here after having had a terrible time at my local hair places (I live 2 hours and a ferry ride away). I had an appointment at 415 on Friday july 19th with Cam who at that time I assumed she was running late. Upon speaking to staff she had already left for the day. I was told they could reschedule me for Saturday. I requested a new stylist and was moved to Richie. Saturday 20th at 1pm. The following day at 1 I realized upon looking at my schedule reminder it for some reason said Saturday August 17th. I called to confirm my time was for today as we agreed and they asked if I could do 130 that day as they made a mistake. I again agreed. 130 rolled around and then 140 then 145 and my person did not "show up" to the video consultation. I called again to request a refund. The receptionist(maybe a stylist. Not sure) seemed very kind and apologetic. I was very disheartened by the several faux pas made by this establishment. I'm sure they would do a fabulous job cutting your hair, that is if they were to show up.

Miguel is a God sent!! I am a black woman with very fine and porous mixed-chix hair. I had a baby and my hormones really did a number on my hair after the baby. I also had a terrible hair cut at another shop 4 months prior. Miguel was super sensitive to my feelings and listened to everything I said before touching my hair. OI, my cut is so much better!! Also, we have a growth plan that I am happy with. I will come back, I am relieved and very happy.

Needed a fade and my usual barber shop was booked out by a month, so I took a chance on this place; Sophia was available and her profile said she does clipper cuts, so I booked with her. I'm so glad I did! She listened carefully to what I wanted and took great care to get it right. I've got thick, curly hair in a variety of textures (ranging from like 3a to 4a), but Sophia handled my fade like a pro. She's also just an all-around chill and kind person and great with conversation. She even asked me my pronouns, which as a genderqueer person is a kindness I've never gotten at the barber shop. The vibe here is great: queer/trans-friendly, sensitive to people's needs without being over-the-top about it, and full of laughter. If my schedule lined up better with Sophia's I'd abandon my current barber for her in a heartbeat, but for now I'll have to settle for seeking her out whenever I have an odd day off. I highly recommend Sophia's work if you've got curly/afro-textured hair and have been suffering through the traditional barbershop experience. You'll leave here with not just a fresh cut, but a reinvigorated spirit :)

I had a terrible experience with the owner Miguel. Although he accepted an appointment for a balayage treatment, he refused to do my hair because he claimed he wasn't qualified enough to do the curly texture of a carribean person. Yes we have fine curly hair that is sometimes dry and porous, but our hair can tolerate color. I have had my hair colored (based, highlighted and balayage) and have never had anyone refuse service. I came in with mostly virgin hair - and Miguel refused to even touch my hair. He looked at it with disgust and said he wouldn't touch my hair. I have never felt so humiliated, but it was a blessing in disguise because he would have ruined my hair with his hateful regard for my hair texture. Avoid Miguel if you book an appointment.

I had an amazing experience getting my curly hair cut with Cam, she is super attentive, informative and skilled. Everyone working at this salon is incredibly friendly and very very talented. I hadn’t been to a salon in years, but I’ll definitely be coming back here!

I had my haircut done by Cam and they were absolutely amazing. I explained what I wanted and Cam walked me through what was possible with my hair type and how we'd approach it to get as close to what I was wanting as possible. It turned out better than I could have imagined and Cam made me feel comfortable throughout the appointment. 15/10, would get a haircut from Cam again.

I no longer book here and won’t come back. My preferred stylist canceled on me twice the day of my appointment less than an hour beforehand. (The appointment before that was also canceled by the stylist day of and rescheduled). Super unprofessional and extremely inconvenient but I figured fine, she’s good, I’ll roll with it graciously. But the last straw was what happened at my actual appointment. I have a *very small* triangle shaped undercut because my hair gets very thick at the back of my head, it is very subtle on purpose, my stylist had seen it and worked on it before. As she’s cleaning it up she just says “I’m just going to even this out a little bit” I say ok because I figured my hair line on the nape of my neck was a little squiggly or something, no, she buzzed it horizontally across the whole back of my head, chopping off two long hanks of hair, making it a full huge undercut. It was so ugly. I started crying immediately and cried in the chair for the rest of the appointment, i was quiet but I had tears streaming down my face the entire appointment while she silently trimmed the rest of my hair, because I didn’t even know what to do at that point. She ended up charging me $60 for the trim. It took me 6 years to grow my hair out that much and now I’m having to awkwardly grow out this hideous undercut and it’s so so ugly. I immediately found another place and will never go back. I sat with this and waited a few months to leave this review because I wanted to let it go but honestly I’m still upset about it because it’s going to take literal YEARS to fix what she did to me. And I have to see this horrible awkward grow out every single day.

I always feel so beautiful when I leave Foxycuts! Their staff is so professional and talented the last time I visited, I was very impressed with their cleanliness and attention to detail. They take your temperature when you go in and have masks on hand, assuming you didn't bring your own. They are very efficient at getting you through your service extremely quickly and with care. I've been going here for years and follow them wherever they move. Thank you, Foxycuts!

I have been crying since I left the salon yesterday. I went in for a trim- I explained that I’m trying to grow my hair out and just want to get the split ends trimmed off and some layers added. I shared how apprehensive I was since the last time I received a haircut 4 years ago, it was cut too short and devastated me. I’ve been growing my hair out since then and have been so happy and excited. Despite my specific requests, I walked out of there with shoulder length hair. He kept telling me not to freak out. That’s a great thing to hear during a haircut :( I paid $140 to have my hair and self esteem ruined. Overall one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with my hair. All that being said, it wasn’t a bad cut. The haircut itself is nice, it’s just not what I wanted at all and too short!

Scheduled appointment a week ago for myself and daughter. Person that answered confirmed a 9:30 am with stylist, she said she would cut both our hairs, she even asked what type of hair we had to inform the stylist. We got there for our appointment and salon was closed. We called several times, texted them and even messaged the stylist, no answer from anyone. We spent $80 on Uber to get there and back for no reason. Not cool.

Eleventy stars for Foxycut and Dennis! I am Black biracial with long curly hair that does five different things across my head depending on the weather and location on my scalp. I HATE getting haircuts because they always leave me sad. At best, I get a haircut that is weirdly straight at my scalp and then super heavy around my chin. No matter how much I tell the stylist, that I want something different, I get that cut. My last cut looked good when I left the salon but the next day after the product relaxed it was clearly very asymmetrical to the point that a friend said it was "brave". The result of all this is that my hair is always just pulled back from my face to hide the weird-sad that is going on in the cut. But 3 years ago at a Home Goods I saw a woman with an amazing curly hair cut and she told me it was from Foxycut. I wrote it down and then forgot about it until I recently cleaned out my old purse. SO I made an appointment in a moment of "It can't be worse than the last one" and then I literally didn't sleep the night before, thinking about how much worse it could be. Enter Dennis, a very sweet human who looked at the pictures I liked and the ones I didn't like and then said "I gotchu". AND DENNIS GOT ME! I had a dry cut followed by a wash and light dry, along with Dennis' enjoyable company. I walked out so happy and miraculously, it's one month later and I'm STILL happy. I was also nervous about the price of the cut, but honestly, money WELL spent. The compliments I got on my hair were daily for the first two weeks. No one even noticed I'd had it cut because no one ever saw it down anyway, it was just "I like your hair like that" and "what did you do to your hair? Looks great!" The best part is that I can still pull it back, but it has great shape and volume in the right places when it's down. It's really easy to wear down with just a little product after the shower and it still looks good whether it decides to be curly, wavy or flat. AND, and, and...it's great. I read all the reviews about the vibe at Foxycut before booking and it seemed to be a dividing line for some folks. I don't know what the 'nay' people are on about because it felt a little like getting your hair done at your coolest auntie's house and her best friend drops by with a plate and they let you hear all the gossip. For the first time ever I'm excited to go back to a salon.

Mahaira was my stylist and this hair colorist/artist has made all my hair dreams come true. I’m a natural lvl2 (super dark brown) and she took me to platinum blonde (ashy/cool tone) In one day!!! My boyfriend even made a comment saying “you can tell it was done by a real professional”. So excited to come back here!!! Thank y’all so much.

Please DO NOT go here if your looking for a haircut. My hair is completely ruined and it cost me $220. I called for a same day appointment and the woman on the phone said she could get me in within the hour. When I arrived, I explained I wanted grey coverage color and a short haircut pixie style, leaving the bottom of my hair 2 inches hanging so I could curl the bottom. At that moment, my hair was about 6 inches long all the way around. I showed her a picture and she said that was fine. Everything seemed to be going well. Color came out nicely and the front of my hair looked great in the mirror. Before she let me go, she told me she wanted to thin out the back of my hair. She took clippers and within one minute said "Okay, so your gonna be mad". She then said she accidently clipped some off that she shouldn't had, but that she could fix it. The next thing I knew, she was shaving the back of my head without even asking. She said she was trying to blend it in. Mind you, my hair was not shaved at all in the back. It was layered and hanging a couple inches down my neck. She called a colleague over to hand me off as her next appointment walked through the door. 2 hours later, I'm still in the chair with both of these women going back and forth attempting to blend in the accident she cut with clippers. The whole time, I'm trying to keep a good attitude and have no idea what is happening with the back of my hair. Just hoping to God they get it looking decent. The original woman who botched my hair told me she was so very sorry and the cut was on her. At this point, I have been in there salon for over 5 hours. My appointment was at 1 and I didn't leave until after 6:30. Out of courtesy I still handed the woman $100 and kept a good attitude. Before I walked out she said I still needed to pay for the color. In my head I'm thinking, I just gave her $100. She rang me up for another $120, took the hair cut off of the invoice and pocketed the $100 I gave her minutes prior. I ended up paying $220. At this point I just want to leave, not argue with these women and get out of this salon. I feel completely robbed. My hair is totally messed up and I need to go to another salon to fix it. What they did is not right and I hope this can help someone avoid wasting their time and getting their hair ruined.

Richie did an amazing job coloring my hair. She helped me pick the right shade and it came out looking awesome. I would highly recommend her!!
