I love Navi, the owner of this salon. She’s truly amazing and extremely informative, patient, and sweet. Navi always take the time to make sure that I am completely satisfied with the cut, color and style before I leave. My hair looks so good and healthy thanks to her. I also have a daughter with autism who hated cutting her hair before we met Navi. But Navi showed her that there’s nothing to be scared of and Navi took all the time to make my daughter feel safe and happy with her haircut. We’ve been very happy customers for years now. Navi truly cares about her customers and takes pride in her work. Thank you, Navi!

By far the best haircut I've ever gotten. Navi (the owner and hair stylist) knew how to understand what I wanted. I'm horrible at telling people how I want my hair cut, and this place is a gem.

I have been getting my hair extensions here several times now, and I love how my hair looks each time, it’s natural looking, and the placement of the extensions blend in beautifully with my own hair. Highly recommend.

I was going to a different haircut place, but today gave French Twist a try, and I'm glad I did. The owner pays extreme attention to detail, is very experienced, and made sure that I walked out with the haircut that looked best on me, and that I wanted. I will be going back for my next haircut, and I highly recommend this place.

Such a pleasant experience! I was in town on business and desperately needed a hair cut. They were able to fit me in within 2 hours of me stopping by and my haircut is phenomenal! I'd love to get a color next time I'm in town and would not hesitate to go back!

Visited San Diego for a conference and had my hair cut and highlighted while in town because I just didn’t have time before leaving home. Great experience! Love the cut and color. Comfortable environment. Cost no more than at home. Would absolutely return if I didn’t live on the opposite coast!

I have never had luck with coloring my hair--being Asian, my hair is very stubborn and hard to work with (so I've been told). I needed a hair fix... badly, so I googled hair salons near me and the French twist salon popped up and I decided to take a chance. Chansone greeted me, and instantly I knew this would be a fun time. I showed her pictures of how I wanted my hair to look and boy, did she deliver! Somehow, she was able to read my mind and come up with something that i didn't even ask her for! I walked out feeling SO fabulous! If money wasn't an issue, I would take a plane trip back just to visit Chansone and have her do my hair!!

I'd been waiting for months to get my haircut after my stylist retired, so my hair was getting long. I figured another good stylist would have a lot to work with and I didn't want to chance getting a bad cut from an unknown. I happened to be in San Diego on business when I couldn't stand it any longer and googled "hair salons near me" (the Grand Hyatt Regency). A bunch came up--one even included a massage for a total of $300--which is significantly more than I care to pay for a wash, cut, and blow dry. I called several salons and inquired about their prices and availability. When I called French Twist, the person who answered was so congenial and accommodating, that I decided to try her whenever she could take me. It turned out that she was Chansone Gavieres, the owner of the salon--and a talented stylist. I was encouraged when I met her because her hair looked great! She listened to my likes and dislikes and looked over my pictures. She explained my hair's advantages and disadvantages--and then she gave me a fabulous cut. Sophisticated but not too, and exactly what I wanted only better. To top it off she's very entertaining, so the time spent was fun. I recommend French Twist enthusiastically and without reservation.

French Twist is the best! I was coming to San Diego from NYC and was going to need my hair done in a 1940s style for a theme party during my visit. I called Chansone a few days ahead and texted her a few pictures of what I had in mind. She did her research - even practiced the style before I got there - and when she did my hair it was AMAZING! I looked like Rita Hayworth. ;) Plus - Chansone is a gas to work with - fun, funny, cool and super-nice. You will have a great time in the chair and be thrilled with the results! Thank you Chansone!
