Thank you so much for making time for me last second, Pearl! Pearl was so sweet & kept asking if things were comfortable and checking on me for input. (I truly had no input as everything was perfect & my hair was cut just to my liking) Excited for my next appt in a month. :)

I came to Laura with a tall task of trying to fix my fried over processed hair. She sat down and listened and we talked over different things that could work and what I wanted. When I tell you she works magic!! My hair looks natural and healthy. The color she came up with and the different techniques she used to fix my hair were the perfect combo! Not to mention the salon is SUPER cute, relaxing and inviting. Great snacks and drinks to enjoy while you’re processing. Laura could not have been more personable and enjoyable to be around for those hours in the chair! Can’t say enough good things about Laura and the salon

For years, I hopped from stylist to stylist never in love with my cut or color, and always forcing myself to make awkward conversation with a new person. That all ended when I met Ashley 10+ years ago. I always look forward to seeing her and catching up. The best part is even when I don’t know how to verbalize what I want done to my hair, she somehow just knows and manages have it come out perfect each time! Highly highly recommend her and everyone at Fringe!

Laura (and Ashley!) have been a constant source of inspiration and talent in my hair journey. I went from black box dye (I know, I know) to gorgeous lived-in blonde. It takes time people. But these ladies are here to help you color correct and get you to where you want to be. Laura is a talented blonde specialist and creates an amazing root melt. I’m beyond thrilled to have found Fringe Collective and will continue seeing them for years to come.

Carly gave me my first professional haircut in 3(!) years and I could not have been happier with the experience! Not only is she incredibly personable and easy to talk to, but she also had unmatched patience, insight, and intuition with my long and thick hair. I’ve gotten so many compliments on my cut and will definitely become a regular. I left with the silkiest, smoothest, & most manageable hair I think I’ve ever had. Additionally, the salon has a beautiful interior so it was honestly just a lovely place to hang out. Looking forward to my next visit!

I grew up wishing I had beautiful long hair. I have so many memories of crying leaving salon after salon. Then I met Ashley and this very talented lady changed my life! I have the hair I’ve always dreamed of and I can’t believe it’s mine! Fringe isn’t just a salon, it’s an experience and definitely one you should have.

Recently came to see Stephanie for the first time and got one of the best cuts I've ever been given. I have mixed texture curly/wavy hair and the way she shaped everything makes my hair behave completely differently. I've even been wearing it with zero product, air dried every day and I can't believe it! Before my cut, it would have taken me forever to achieve the same (temporary) volume with the heavyness and bulk I had. She was able to keep the length while taking off anything weighing it down and I couldn't be happier. Besides being incredibly skilled, Stephanie is 100% the introverts bff. She was great at asking the questions she needed to know that I wasn't very good at articulating myself when deciding what I wanted out of the cut (I am clearly a rambler, reader). She has a great calming energy and is very easy to talk to and be around! The salon is immaculate and cozy but modern. This is definitely a place will I have to budget for, but hot dang will I budget for this hair. Would easily recommend to anyone, and I obviously I'm already rebooked. Stephanie is a wonderful stylist here! I have gone to her for 4 years now and have never once been upset with how she has done my hair. I have referred many other women to her and they have had the same response - she is amazing! I get blonde highlights and a cut and she always makes me feel gorgeous. Definitely try out Fringe!

This salon is the BEST! Carly was my saving grace near the end of 2022 when I was scrambling to get a hair overhaul before heading out on vacation. She was able to fit me into her schedule and I walked out of the salon with my most favorite hair ever! As long as she is around, I am forever a client! As for the Fringe space, it's beautiful, welcoming, and relaxing. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking a salon!

Wanted to try out extensions for the first time and Teniya did absolutely amazing! Not only is she super knowledgeable about what she does, she has a warm personality that made me really enjoy the experience. I’m feeling so confident and have never had my hair look so good. Highly recommend!

Ashley has been my stylist for 5 years now and I trust her completely! She listened to my concerns and preferences, suggested a few different options and has been willing to adapt and change as my tastes and preferences have! I love that she takes the time to educate me on the science behind coloring, give me tips on how I can make my hair look like it does when she is done styling it, and is open to low chemical more natural approaches to hair coloring. She and her team are upbeat and work so well as a team to support each other. There is no drama like there is at other salons. I also love that Ashley builds up other rising entrepreneurial women and gives back through mentorship, collaboration, and teaching. Can't recommend Fringe Collective and Ashley Clarke enough!

I have only seen Stephanie twice now, but each time she has been wonderful! She really listens to my hairs needs (which is ultra demanding and finicky) and does a fantastic cut. She is also very personable and enjoy talking to her. Looking forward to my next appt already-worth every penny.

From the moment you walk into Fringe Collective in Charlottesville, you are made to feel welcome. The salon is beautifully designed. The artwork, the coffee/tea bar, the kimonos, the books,the lighting, the music and the comfortable chairs/sofas, all provide relaxation and serenity. You can always tell the quality of a salon by the people who work there. Ashley, the owner and her staff always look happy to be there and treat their clients with warmth and caring. Carly, has been my stylist/colorist, and always will be. She listens with her heart, asks the right questions and then does her magic with my thinning hair. I absolutely love the color, the cut and the styling. I always walk away happy. I moved to Charlottesville following a diagnosis and surgeries that were difficult for me to deal with. Stephanie is very attentive to my requests (that can change from appointment to appointment). I appreciate her patience and professionalism and am pleased with my hair and brows after every visit! I love Fringe Collective; the vibes are warm, and everyone is always so friendly and kind, the service wonderful. Every stylist there is great, but Teniya is MY GIRL. She’s been doing my hair for a while now, and she always makes me feel stunning any time I’m in her chair. She never misses the mark on what I ask for. I honestly love going to get my hair done just to go chat and hang out with her for a couple of hours! I don’t have any pictures of the color she literally JUST did on my hair a couple of days ago (it’s actually perfect though, in case you were wondering), but I do have these pictures of about 3-4 weeks grow out (coffee shop), then almost 7 weeks grow out (restaurant). It’s so hard to find a stylist who does you so good that it still looks great 1-2 MONTHS after your appointment, but Teniya’s got it down. Highly recommend & can’t wait for my next appointment! ❤️

Fringe Collective is the most beautiful salon in Cville! I received the best haircut of my life here. Shannon is the absolute best! Would highly recommend Shannon. She specializes in cutting long hair and has been doing so for many years. Her expertise shows. She has amazing customer service and takes her time to ensure that your hair is perfect. Despite my lack of hair knowledge, she was able to discern what I was trying to explain what I wanted and she totally delivered! I also have abnormally thick hair and she knew exactly how to work with it!! She also curled my hair at the end, and I swear my hair has never looked prettier. This salon is also so special because I'm pretty sure they are the only salon in town that carries Kerastase hair care products which are about the highest-quality products in the industry; very luxourious. I HIGHLY recommend this salon!

I adore Ashley. I have had my hair styled by her exclusively for at least 15 years and at 3 different salons. If she moved, I followed. Ashley is a master stylist. She is a pro. She is amazing at color and extensions, but I go to her because she pays attention to my preferences and to my hair's quirks and she remembers. I like a short edgy cut and Ashley delivers. Strangers comment on how they really like my cut. It feels good to love your cut and to get compliments, even when it's grown out a bit. I look forward to going to Ashley's newish (over a year old), owner-owned salon. It's a treat. I feel cared for and pampered. Her staff truly feels like a team. They work together to create a special experience for each client. I see and value that family feeling/team intention. Ashley's salon is a haven. Peaceful and chic. If you can't already tell, I highly recommend Fringe Collective.

The atmosphere and cleanliness of this oasis made it a wonderful afternoon treat for me. The products used made it very easy for me to move forward to purchase and add to my daily routine. I have been seeing Ashley for almost 9 years for hair cuts/coloring and have only amazing things to say! I drive 1.5 hours each way to come to Fringe because of their high quality service. Fringe has a perfect location close to shopping/restaurants and it’s always exceptionally clean. The staff is very friendly and genuinely cares about their clients. Highly recommend!

I’ve been going to Ashley to have my hair colored, cut and styled for over 20 years! She always does a wonderful job bringing to life my vision for my hair which is no easy feat given it’s length.
