We’ve been coming here for almost 4 years. We’ve always had a good experience and think that the quality of cut is better than some of the other options for kids cuts in the area. The area is always clean and usually has lots of availability for appointments. We recently had our first experience with having a haircut for my son that we didn’t particularly love from a newer hair stylist, luckily the owner was there that day and went above and beyond to make sure we got it fixed which made me very happy to see how much she cared about making it right. That customer service really sticks out to me and we will continue to have my son’s haircuts here.

I really wish I would have gotten the name of our stylist. It was my little one’s first haircut. He is full of energy and does not like to sit still for more than 30 seconds. Our stylist did such an amazing job with comforting our son and making the experience as enjoyable as possible for us. She had to change her approach since our son did not like the buzzers. I can’t explain how amazing she was at putting our minds at ease and getting the haircut done as quickly as possible while still making it look so good. I could not recommend this location more. Thank you!

Really disappointed. First- the lady cutting my kid’s hair was a little rough. Second- the cut is not what we requested. We asked for length to be left on top and length left on the bangs, and we essentially got a military style haircut. Everything is the same length, no bangs or length on top. No shape to it at all. It’s simply not what we asked for. After looking at the pictures on their website it’s clear they just give boys the same haircut regardless of request. We usually take our kids to Longview for cuts but didn’t have time to wait for an appointment before a family gathering. We took a chance here and we regret it. We plan to take our little guy to Longview sometime this week to see if we can get this cut cleaned up.

Amber cut my son's hair today and she did a great job! She was really good with him and his hair looks really good! Edit to add: my first experience with Amber was great, however I went in today and it was awful. I arrived a few minutes before my appointment time. The woman was not very nice and said she was running behind. I said ok and we waited about 15 minutes and then she was pretty snotty and said why don't you reschedule because I don't know how long I'll be. We just left after that and went to Sharkey's and they did a great job. I won't be back to this place. That woman made it very clear that she didn't care about our time or business. Stay away from this place and go to Sharkey's. They are better.

10/10 recommended!! They’re all super friendly, great with kids & parents, there’s a really cool game in front they can play if there’s a wait at all.. and they get to pick their own car cutlery seat 🤭 MUCH better atmosphere than others nearby

This was first time at Funky Scissors and we had a positive experience. My curly haired 3-yr old daughter received a fantastic haircut, including a braid and glitter spray, as well as a manicure. My daughter’s haircut consisted of a trim and layers. The stylist was friendly and patient with my daughter. Will definitely go back. Update: Made an appointment for the following day for my son while I was checking out for my daughter’s haircut. The appointment was made in person directly with the stylist that did my daughter’s hair. When I showed up the next day for my son’s scheduled appointment, the appointment had been cancelled without any call or text. Yet, the stylist that I made my appointment with was there in person. She told me her manager must have moved around / cancelled appointments since another stylist had called in sick. Odd that my son’s appointment was cancelled even though the stylist he was scheduled with was there! Extremely disappointed since I thought I found a place close to my home. Will not be retuning due to unprofessional and unreliable business manager and/or owner (although, stylist was great).

Took the time to work out knots and work with daughter hair. Plus give her excellent service while making it enjoyable for her. Would recommend to parents!

What’s the point of a scheduled appointment? Went to the Polaris location for a scheduled appointment, arrived early, checked in & 20 minutes after our scheduled appointment, were still waiting for a haircut! It’s understood that Sundays are busy days, but either limit the amount of appointments taken or staff appropriately! Will not be returning to this establishment.

Cotty and Amber have both been great! They have both given good service in the past. Patient, friendly, and worked with my son and I to get the perfect style. They always make sure he can watch his favorite movie (or play a video game) while getting the haircut.

Funky Scissors is amazing! We have taken our 2 1/2 year old there every time and won't go anywhere else. He struggled at first as most young kids do but Michelle has been amazing. She has cut his hair 4/5 times and has been absolutely incredible. She is honestly probably the main reason we go back. She is so patient and good with kids. She does an amazing job of interacting with kids and showing them what she is doing so they are not scared. Now he loves going. Every time we go we say to each other, "I hope we have Michelle". They have 4 different fun cars for little ones and more regular chairs for bigger kids, all with TVs or xboxs to keep them entertained. As well as a TV and fun interactive touch screen fruit ninja game up front while you wait. This place has made haircuts much easier for us. Especially Michelle. I'm sure everyone is great and they all seem friendly but if you can, ask for Michelle. If we could we would ask for her every time. She is proof that employees can make or break an experience with a business. 5/5 for the place 10/10 for Michelle!

I have taken my kids to Funky Scissors Polaris several times and always have a good experience. All the stylists do a great job. We recently had Cotty and loved my son's haircut. She did great with my wiggly 3 year old and was friendly and helpful.

Michelle gave us another great haircut and another great experience! My son has a lot of hair and has been getting haircuts since he was 10 months old and we only go to Funky Scissors. Michelle is so patient and always explains to our son what everything is and what she’s using it for. In the past, we’ve had Amber several times, and she’s great too! 10/10 recommend!

We get our son’s haircut here all the time. Our usual stylist, Michelle is amazing! She always takes her time and does her best work for our son, and we couldn’t be happier with her work! Michelle is the best, and we highly recommend this location and her in particular!

We have been going to the Polaris Funky Scissors location for years and have always had a great experience! Michelle has cut my son’s hair the most and she is always very welcoming and kind. She always listens to what we are looking for in a hairstyle and always delivers! My son also loves playing the race car game while getting his haircut. Oh, and the sucker and balloon afterward is a special treat as well. =)

We recently had the pleasure of getting a boys haircut by Amber, and I am impressed with the results. Their attention to detail and speed transformed my son’s hair. The atmosphere in funky scissors is always welcoming, and Amber took the time to understand the cut we wanted before working her magic.
