I had an incredible experience at Gamine Beauty Salon. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and relaxing. My stylist Jeremiah was friendly, attentive, and professional. He did a fantastic job with my hair – and really listened to what I wanted and gave me exactly the cut and style I had in mind. The products used made my hair feel amazing, and the attention to detail was impressive. I'll definitely be returning and highly recommend this salon and Jeremiah to anyone looking for top-notch service!

I’ve been researching salons for a while trying to find a stylist I could trust to fix a terrible haircut. Sterling did an incredible job — really took the time to understand what I wanted and fully delivered! Added great long layers and face framing pieces that I love. I’ll be back!

Robby gave me my confidence back and worked with me. I came in with layers and layers of old at home dye on my hair, it was heavy, aged me and weighed me down...I walked out refreshed and looking like a completely different person with just the right about of subtlety. So far, I've had my medium-length hair cut by Mina twice and both times I've walked away satisfied and feeling good about how I look. She's patient, precise and meticulous. She's the first hairstylist I've come across--ever--who can leave your hair looking like it was cut using hair clippers when it wasn't. She does it all just with scissors. Amazing. And the scalp massage during washing is a nice touch. Highest recommendation.

I came in with hair that was dyed red/copper mistakenly by another salon. Mina completely transformed my hair into exactly what I had originally wanted (beautiful chocolate brown color with golden undertones). She took the time to listen to what had happened, diagnosed the problem and did a truly masterful job at getting all of the red out and adding a gorgeous new color. I was nervous due to my recent experience and she put me completely at ease. Will definitely be coming back to this salon and seeing Mina again!

I get the Cezanne process on my hair and Sterling is my person when it comes to that. He knows what he's doing and does it so well. Aside from that, he's a wonderful person. I'm thankful he's there to treat my hair in a way that feels safe and caring. 🙏💕

A friendly environment with staff who know how to treat a client. I would highly recommend Mina if you’re looking to do a dynamic and fun cut and/or color. She is patient with her work making sure not a strand is out of place and always exceeds expectations. Everyone I have told to book her has said they would go no where else. I fly out to LA from Arizona just to keep up my appointments with her.

I booked an appointment with Sterling at Gamine Beauty by the recommendation of a close friend whose haircut I was admiring, and my experience surpassed my expectations. Sterling spent the time to assess what I was hoping for in a cut, and we looked at some of the photos I brought in and we talked it over. I appreciated his clear communication about what he thought might work well with my hair type. Sterling meticulously and carefully cut my hair and made precise adjustments to give me a cut I feel so incredibly fabulous with. He’s a lovely and cool person to boot so it was fun chatting with him while he worked on my hair. Overall, a 5 star salon experience and I look forward to returning to Sterling at Gamine for my next cut.

I got the worst haircut of my life right before moving to LA. It was traumatic. I didn't realize a haircut could physically hurt, it felt like i fell into a cactus. I was desperate to try to fix it and was bewildered by all the options in LA. Although, in my hunt it seemed like most salons showcased long flowing hairstyles AKA Disney hair. I came across a concentration of reviews for this person named Sterling at Gamine who was known for great short haircuts. The reviews weren't wrong. He's amazing. It took almost two years to fix the one terrible cut i got in the Bay, but he helped me through it, giving me fantastic short haircuts at each phase. My hair is finally shoulder length (started with a Jean Seaburg pixie), and we are able to have more fun trying new cuts that I want instead of being stuck with something I hated. He's nothing short of a miracle worker. And for what it's worth, if you wanted beautiful long Hollywood hair - they can do that too. The salon is lovely. It's easy, welcoming, and clean. They are environmentally focused and kind. I got no judgement at any point, just a lot of support and a welcoming vibe. Best kept secret in LA. 🤞this review doesn't make my stylist too popular! I hope to be seeing him for a long time.

I recently made an appointment to get a hair treatment done that cost $300. Unfortunately, I had a very unexpected family emergency that morning and was so flustered and completely forgot to call before 9 am to cancel. I called them around 9:45 when I realized the time and explained the situation, and they unfortunately weren't able to sympathize and refund the money. I understand a no-show fee but taking all $300 when emergencies are out of people's control is pretty unfair. Just be careful, because they will not sympathize nor put in effort with returning customers. Reply: Thank you, Jennifer. Unfortunately, usually you can't predict emergencies. Had I known, I was going to have a family emergency I would've called to cancel 24 hours before. Part of good customer service, especially with returning customers, is being understanding in situations like these. I completely understand a no-show fee even of 50% but in this case, taking all $300 is not a good look.

Sterling is the greatest hair stylist I have ever had the pleasure of cutting my hair. I’ve been going to him for 8 years. I have short, unruly hair but he just gets it. He’s also just a great guy and so enjoyable to converse with. I now live out of state and schedule my haircuts for when I’m back in La.
