Fantastic views and great service!

We booked a two-night stay at Garden of the Gods Resort with high expectations, but the experience fell short. While the staff was warm and friendly, and chocolates with a welcome card were a nice touch, the check-in process was not streamlined one bit. We were offered a casita suite with a kitchen to prepare baby food, but upon arrival, our room lacked one. Despite calling weeks in advance to confirm the kitchen, we were told we had to pay for the upgrade when we were already paying $500+ per night. Instead, they offered a microwave. The pack-n-play requested for our little one was broken upon delivery and had to be replaced. The suite was well-furnished, but closer inspection revealed deferred maintenance issues, like a jammed ice machine and non-working jetted tub in the ensuite. To add insult to injury, we booked through our Capital One Venture X card, expecting a smooth experience since the resort was part of their “premier hotel collection.” Despite prepaying, we were charged again after checkout. It took five calls with both Garden of the Gods Resort and Capital One to resolve the issue, and when we finally got through, they were reluctant to refund us. This frustration soured our stay, and although the incentives were appealing, the hassle wasn’t worth it.

I stayed here several times, the regular rooms have a breathtaking view but the cottages are just amazing. Food is great, even when we don't stay here, we come here for lunch. Great pool, great staff. Recommendations to make it better: Remove the $200 Pet Fee and offer seasonal passes for the pool.

Lovely location and lovely views in the room. Very friendly staff. We were looking for a quiet winter local getaway where I needed to work, but wanted us to enjoy the area around that and looking for a quiet getaway. It just wasn’t a great fit for what we wanted. The wi-fi/internet being totally down was not communicated, so that caused some issues with working. I thought I was doing something wrong until I asked about it, and they stated that there is an issue and they are aware. Phone signal was spotty in places in room, so hotspot not ideal. The rooms are lovely, but sounds carries very clearly from neighboring rooms through the adjoining doors. In our first room, we could hear everything literally word for word, as though they were in the room with us. Our neighbors were stressing and arguing over issues with their room phone and wanted room service and couldn’t decide what to do about that (and then realized a while later that their room phone wasn’t plugged in). Then we laid down to sleep and it sounded like our adjoining door opened - but there must be a door on the other room side, because I sat up startled and then heard him pull roughly on our clearly still-closed door, trying to open it. Then that settled down and we started smelling cigarette smoke intermittently. For probably the first time ever, we went to the front desk to ask about alternatives, but only mentioned the cigarette smoke. They were very kind and offered to transfer to a comparable room. The sound carrying wasn’t quite as intense in the second room. More occasional crying/screeching from kiddos (and music/dancing from new folks the second night), which personally didn’t bother me. Food at Grand View was excellent as was the service. All in all, it seems like maybe a better lodging fit in warmer weather or when you expect to be out and just crashing at night more (and hopefully neighbors are on a similar schedule or in the same party). Not so much for a quieter vibe where you are in and out of the room all day, and when in the room, trying to get work done or relax by the fireplace.

Beware of their 7 DAY CANCELLATION POLICY. I was charged $230 despite cancelling 72 hour in advance.

Jan 05, 2025

Beware their 7-Day cancellation policy. I had to pay one night stay cancellation fee despite canceling 72 hours in advance. I've never heard of a 7-Day cancellation policy. I called the hotel but they wouldn't budge. I also called Amex Platinum travel services whom I booked the stay through who called the hotel and they still would not budge on the one night cancellation fee.

From the moment we checked in to the reservation fiasco for New Year's, the entire experience was an absolute headache. The manager, who was supposedly the highest-ranking on duty, showed a complete lack of care or accountability for the situation. The table we had reserved was given to another party, and when we confronted them about it, they claimed we had a reservation at 8 PM and failed to show up. This was blatantly false, as I showed them a message from their morning manager confirming our reservation was for 8:30 PM. In reality, we were planning to be there by 9 PM but were delayed due to being stuck in our room. The explanation they gave us was both confusing and insulting. They claimed that the other party had the "same last name" as ours and told a "similar story." However, the group occupying our table was white, while we are Middle Eastern, with a long and distinct last name that is anything but common. It was evident to us that their story didn't add up and felt more like an excuse to cover their mistake--or worse, to justify giving preferential treatment to others. To make matters worse, after acknowledging their error, they offered us a table in the darkest, most undesirable part of the restaurant. The table wasn't even set up properly, further adding to our frustration. It was clear we were being treated as an afterthought, with little to no effort made to accommodate us or rectify their mistake. By the end of the evening, everyone in our party felt deeply disrespected and discriminated against. From the issues at check-in to the humiliating treatment at the restaurant, we were left feeling unwelcome and undervalued. What should have been a celebratory evening turned into an unpleasant and disappointing experience.

Great up scale place to celebrate life with your wife!

I am a wedding photographer and I shot a wedding back here in October and it was stunning! Sunset behind the mountain was so incredibly beautiful!

Luxury equivalent to the best hotels in Hawaii, San Diego, or any large city. The hotel has fantastic service, views, accommodations, bathrooms, espresso machines, and ambiance. If you can afford it, I highly recommend it. The views are to die for. Just heavenly.

Jan 05, 2025

Positive: size of room Negative: said we couldn't eat main dining room (said they were booked) which was entire reason we splurged on such expensive place, no lotion in bath not vanity chair, were told over phone we could get room w view but when got there they told us it would be extra

The location, rooms, and staff were great. And views from the fitness center were phenomenal. All in all a solid resort But the WiFi was down throughout the resort while we were there, and they refused to take any responsibility for it or address the issue. Neither did they offer any compensations or apologies. That was pretty disappointing as I had to tether to my phone for a while and eventually had to leave for a cafe nearby to be able to work. Reading more review in the hotel, it seems that struggling to address issue or taking responsibility for them is a recurring issue, that’s too bad as this place would be great with a management more on top of things

We enjoyed a 2-night stay here. Our room with 2 queen beds was very spacious with a huge bathroom. The view from the balcony was amazing. We found the beds very comfortable. The fireplace in our room was a very nice touch. Only two things prevented me from giving a full score. First, the breakfast at the Grand View was just ok yet very expensive. Second, there is no electric vehicle charging onsite. I was quite shocked to see a hotel of this caliber not having any charging stations. The hotel did offer to do pickup and dropoff at a nearby charging site, but obviously it's not convenient. Overall, we were happy with our stay.

Set in a gorgeous location at the foot of Garden of the Gods, our night at the Garden of the Gods Resort & Club was a wonderful treat. We arrived at our 4pm check-in and were greeted by some lovely staff members who got us squared away quickly. Our room (a junior suite) was decked out with all the amenities we could ask for, paired with a phenomenal view of the Garden of the Gods. At dinner we went to the Grand View where the vegetable topado, cheese board, and mushroom enchiladas were all huge hits. Pro tip; the Manchego cheese pairs perfectly with the provided apricot! There was also an extremely extensive wine selection, which catered to all price points. The only snafus with our stay were the soaking tub in the bathroom being inoperable, and that the breakfast room service arrived about 10 minutes earlier than we indicated which required a bit of a mad dash out of the shower. Nothing that was experience breaking, however! Overall we loved our stay and cannot wait to visit again in the future. If sublime views and delicious views are your forte, you will enjoy your time at the Garden of the Gods Resort & Club!

Wasn’t what we expected. The hotel is nice. The view is amazing. But the service was lacking. We had a very late arrival. But the following day, no one greeted us. Never were given a proper tour of the resort. Just wasn’t a welcoming feeling at all. The room was beautiful although there was some weird stain on the sheets when we arrived. The wifi was down the whole week we were there. Fire alarm going off in the middle of the night forcing us to wait in the cold. We were told a birthday dinner would be complimentary and to charge it to the room. Well the charge processed and was never refunded by the hotel. And now we are being charged for spa services that we never received. We voiced our complaints but it seems they fell onto deaf ears. Or they just didn’t care. Unfortunately I was tired of texting and messaging and tracking down the hotel staff for updates on WiFi or if things that were promised, were kept. It shouldn’t be your guests job to remind and check on the status of things. I’m sure others had pleasant experiences. But unfortunately ours was not.

Positive: Room with the view was awesome. Negative: Pizza was awful.

This resort was a 10/10! Heated infinity Pool with spectacular views of Garden of the God's and Pike's Peak. The valet staff were all phenomenal and very professional and kind (Gave great suggestions on activities to do nearby), Front desk staff was also very courteous, staff member in Strata desk was very kind and took the time to walk us out to the pool and show us around and give little tips! Will definitely be staying here again in the future, wish we would have stayed here longer during our trip! Food was fantastic and wine was great at the dinner. Locker rooms were very clean, hot tub was exceptional.

Sedona AZ blows away garden of the gods. Especially the Slide State Park on the way there

Nov 05, 2024

The room was very disappointing and overpriced. A big wall cut out the view of the park. The room wasn't laid out well. The bathroom was nice. So was the restaurant. Found a huge bug in our room that freaked out my wife. Won't return.

Nov 05, 2024

This is really an amazing resort! The views from the rooms are spectacular and the workout amenities are quite impressive. The location right next to Garden of the Gods lead to some amazing views as well as opportunities to get out and hike. I would certainly have given this place five stars, but somebody must’ve thrown up in the hallway the night before and the smell was rough. I did mention it to the hotel staff, but I think they may have needed to do a bit more to alleviate the issue.

We came to dine in the view and food was amazing. Our server was Jayden she was a sweetheart and super nice. We’ll definitely come back

We stayed here for our honeymoon, and this is an exceptional resort! So grateful for the wonderful service, and accommodations we were given! Awesome honeymoon!!

While the grounds, rooms, and location are great, the business practices are a complete nightmare. We booked our stay using Expedia and paid ahead and were then charged again by the resort at check-in. I've been trying to resolve this issue for over two months with the resort and have received multiple responses: it was because Expedia never paid us; we did refund you and this matter is closed... Turns out they refunded a completely different individual for an arbitrary dollar amount. Currently, they are ghosting me - and if I do get through via phone, they pretend like I haven't been calling or talking to the same individual for months now.. It's frustrating that a business that depends on customer experience chooses to operate on fraud. Save yourself a headache and stay anywhere but here.

Nov 05, 2024

While the resort location is amazing and the grounds are nice, they operate on fraud. Check your receipts carefully, because they will double charge you for the room... It's been over two months of me trying to get credited back for being double-charged for my stay. Their business approach has been ghosting my calls, voicemails, and emails. Don't bother staying here, it's just not worth the hassle.

Hi my name is Sophia. I paid for my fiancé’ and I to stay here through the venture x portal rewards. I made a reservation for the 18th. At the front desk I was told my 800$ in rewards covered the price of the room for the night and all the expenses were covered. The place was gorgeous. Great views of the mountains. The room was very nice and clean. However, the day I checked out and left the resort they added on 790$ charge to my account. I kept calling them asking them about my charge and they kept transferring me around and hanging up on me. After that I decided to call my credit card company and my credit card company said that this was not okay and the charges will be disputed if charged on my card. At this point I cried in relief to finally be able to talk to someone who actually helped me. The next day they added on 745$ and 96$ in charges on my card. I called the resort and got through to someone. They told me I was being charged for staying there for two nights. I only stayed there for one night. I closed my credit card. Be careful. this place has shady practices. They will charge your account continuously even after leaving the resort. I left the resort on the 19th and got over 700$ charges on my card yesterday and 800$ today. I was going to have my wedding here and bring a lot of family members. This place is shady and not worth it. I am calling my credit card company again about the new charges and will report this place for fraudulent activity.

I was pretty underwhelemed with the whole experience. For what I paid, the service was not reflective, and I probably wouldn't go back. It started with arrival. The manager gave me and my party room keys to another guest's room. When we arrived and opened the door, the room was occupied and the guest was in his bed. I get things happen, but at a resort of this level, this is pretty inexecusable. I also ordered a cheese board, and that was also misdelivered (we found out the next day, when another guest brought it over as we were looking to check out). We had five people in our party (and I had let them know that a week before), but only had four robes. The coffee filter was the wrong type for the coffee maker in the suite. I don't know, little things for sure (minus the room problem from the start, that is a pretty big issue), but all added up it just left me kind of meh about the whole thing. They did offer a $150 credit, which was appreciated, but also kind of meh, again, because of what I originally paid. The value is not worth it.

This is a multi faceted review so I apologize for the length, First of all THANK YOU to the entire staff at Garden of the Gods Resort for making our wedding weekend so special. I want to thank Heather Wolf for leading the charge on the coordinator side of our celebration, we so appreciate your attention to detail and follow up with all of our questions. The ceremony and reception went without any hiccups and I attribute that to you! Thank you to Greg Miller for being an exceptional host at the reception, our guests so enjoyed their experience and spoke highly of you and the wonderful staff that cared for them. The food was phenomenal, and the attention to detail was so evident given my Celiacs disease (gluten allergy) and other attendees food allergies. We so so appreciated your care. I will include some photos from the ceremony! A part of this experience was the lovely and wonderful Illiana and Nikki from the Strata Spa and Salon! They helped cater to every need I had when it came to my hair for the big day and were so friendly and personable. I had so many compliments on my hair ladies!!! My husband and I returned to the spa for a couples massage later that evening and had such a relaxing experience. I don’t remember their names but want to extend a thank you to them as well for taking such amazing care of us. If you have not visited the spa, you ABSOLUTELY should! From thoughtful amenities in the locker room area, to the Himalayan Salt Room and Rain shower we felt so indulged! (We have now decided we’d one day love to own a shower like that!). The hot tea selection was lovely and aided in the experience of unwinding. Lastly but certainly not least, the suite we shared the night of our wedding was so wonderful. The bed was comfortable, everything was impeccably clean, and the patio table with that gorgeous view was stunning. We enjoyed a morning tea and espresso outside the next morning and couldn’t believe how lucky we were to be there. Thank you to the housekeeping team for your attention to detail in the room, we so appreciate you. Other shoutouts include the valet team who were speedy and friendly, and aided in getting my from the spa to the ceremony! All of the servers who waited on us and our party. The front desk who made check in and out a breeze. And all the sweet people who said hello to us in hallways just to be kind. Thank you for EVERYTHING you all did! We had the most amazing wedding and weekend and we will so cherish it.

Too Bad the Service Sucks: Culinary Delights and Hospitality Missteps A recent visit to the Grand View restaurant inside the GOg resort left us craving better service. The Grand View was previously members-only but has now opened its doors to the public. Let me paint you a picture of my experience - it's a bit of a rollercoaster ride. First, the positives: the view is absolutely stunning - arguably the best in Colorado Springs. The food? Exquisite. The drinks? Divine. But the service? Well, that's where things take a nosedive. We started at the bar while waiting for our table. I ordered a lavender cocktail that was nothing short of spectacular. The bartender, however, seemed to have left his personality at home. When I attempted to pay with cash, you'd think I'd offered him ancient artifacts instead of legal tender. "I'm sorry you're not used to seeing bonafide Benjamins, but cash is still king as far as I'm concerned," I quipped. His response? A mumbled excuse about having to "go down for change." Note to management: perhaps a refresher course on handling various forms of payment wouldn't go amiss. Once seated, we entered what I can only describe as a black hole of customer service. After a solid 15 minutes of being studiously ignored, we had to flag down the manager and two other servers before anyone deigned to acknowledge our existence. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt - maybe they thought our drinks from the bar meant we were already taken care of. But alas, the service didn't improve from there. The prosciutto and melon salad was underwhelming, though I'll admit I was distracted by the breathtaking view. The tomato bisque, however, was a saving grace - rich, flavorful, and comforting. But here's where it gets frustrating: I wanted to enjoy some bread with my soup. Simple request, right? Apparently not. Despite asking twice, the bread arrived well after I'd finished my soup. Timing, folks. It's crucial in both comedy and dining. In conclusion, while the food and ambiance at this establishment are truly praiseworthy, the service leaves much to be desired. It's as if they're still operating under the illusion of exclusivity, forgetting that public patrons are now their bread and butter. My advice? Visit for the stellar views and excellent cuisine, but pack your patience - you'll need it. And to the management: if you want to fill seats and inspire return visits, treating your guests like valued customers rather than inconveniences might just be the secret ingredient you're missing.

We just stayed here for four days and i was blown away at the level of service at this resort. From start to finish we felt looked after and nothing was too much troble. Our room was beautiful, clean and over looked the gods garden. The bed was very comfortable and our bathroom was huge. We loved sitting on the balcony with our morning coffee. The restaurants were simply amazing and the food was delicious. I have celiac disease and they were able to accommodate me. The staff was knowledgeable about cross contamination and I felt totally safe eating there. Thier desserts were simply amazing. The bar staff were even able to make my favorite cocktail from Europe. Highly recommend to anyone who has celiac disease.

We recently stayed at the Garden of the Gods Resort and Club for our 27th anniversary. From the time we were greeted by the valet staff to the time we left, the stay was absolutely amazing! The views from our cottage was beautiful! The grounds were immaculate! The food and the restaurants was awesome! We are looking forward to planning our next get away to this resort! It's as must for anyone looking for perfection.

Front desk was very nice and welcoming. Our spot was close to the restrooms and showers, didn’t like that it was close to the road so it’s hard to sleep with all the car noise next to the camp. Overall was nice and good for a quick solution. I would close the gates to make occupants feel more safe since gates stays open all night long.

We stayed at the cottages at the Vermilion. Each cottage has 2 guest rooms. We arrived at night. The room numbers of the cottages are underneath the dim porchlight and can't be seen from the parking lot. There is no sign directing where room numbers are located. The paths are cement, curved and not lighted. We almost drove the luggage cart off the cement path because of no lighting. We found our room using my husbands flashlight.|The Vermilion cottages feel very isolating. It is quiet and peaceful , but you have to drive to the restaurants, swimming pools, gift shop and front desk. Our room was clean, spacious and attractive.|At the front of the hotel there are flag poles with the United States flag and Colorado|flag. The flags are faded, worn and tattered.|David, the concierge, was especially kind and helpful.
