I had an amazing experience at GC by Giorgio, Charles Salon, thanks to Alex, the incredibly talented hairdresser. I came in with critically damaged hair—truly a level 10 emergency—and no idea what to do. I told Alex everything, hoping for a miracle, and he delivered! Instead of a drastic pixie cut, he worked his magic to preserve a length I’m comfortable with, completely transforming my hair. The before-and-after results are stunning, and I couldn’t be happier. The staff is so kind, professional, and welcoming, and the salon’s relaxing, aesthetically pleasing ambiance made the experience even better. As someone new to Chicago, I’m thrilled to have found my new go-to spot for hair, nails, and beauty needs. I highly recommend this salon—thank you, Alex and the entire team, for your incredible work!

I was visiting Chicago, needed a blowout. and chose this salon because it was close to my hotel. I booked online some 10 days ahead , a simple process. I selected a blowout at the time I needed, and it assigned me to a stylist, showing her rate to be $45. I included a note saying due to a back injury I would shampoo at my hotel, and arrive ready to style. I completed the booking and received a confirmation for a blowout with that stylist at $45. I arrived freshly shampooed, which surprised them as they hadn't seen my note, and chatted with the gal at the desk while waiting for my service. The stylist did a decent job, and I went back to the desk to pay. The girl informed me that the stylist's rate was $65, not $45 as had been listed on the site and confirmed to me, and she hoped that was okay with me. I said it was NOT okay, that I had confirmation. She said sorry but it was $65 for this stylist. I was rushing to meet family and had no time to dispute this. So I said I'd pay but never return there, saying they'd used a bait and switch. I asked why she didn't tell me when I walked in, rather than after I was finished, and she shrugged. What a sleezy operation! I will never go there again, that was bad business practice and a ridiculous thing to do. Use caution if you choose to go.

I needed an immediate emergency hair service and they responded positively without hesitation. Everyone was helpful, warm and engaging. The proprietor, George Charles, introduced himself to me and gave me personal attention and honored a personal request of mine. The salon has an awesome ambiance. Most of all, my hair was fab when I left. Shoutout to Gabbi and Alli.

Roxana is an amazing stylist with a kind and calm demeanor! She was able to provide me with the cut that I wanted, which other stylists in the city have been unable to do. She is attentive and precise. Highly recommend!! The front desk representative and other staff members were equally as friendly and professional. UPDATE: Roxana perfectly executed the exact look that I was hoping for, which was a significant change from what we had been doing! As usual, she was meticulous, professional, and kind. She truly provides a lovely experience. All of the team members are helpful and attentive. I couldn't be happier to have found them!

Effie is incredible!!! I have been going to her for years for my haircuts and recently entrusted her to color my hair and I am so glad I did! 🤩 I had been nervous to color my dark brown hair because I had negative past experiences with other stylists who bleached my hair / went way too light. Effie takes the time to learn and understand each customer. She made sure she truly understood what I wanted and then communicated exactly what she planned to do so that I felt comfortable. I’m so happy with how it turned out! See Effie for amazing cut and color and fun experience as a bonus (she is so lovely, funny and vibrant)!

I have been going to Effie for 5+ years and I will continue going to her because she literally is the best at what she does!! Not only does she take the time to understand your hair needs but she also gives advice depending on how high or low maintenance you’d need your hair to be depending on your lifestyle. She has been the only stylist to help manage my very thick, full hair and she has helped it be the most healthy it’s ever been! I cannot recommend her enough!!!

I have gone to Ali for my hair a couple of times and she is truly the best. She understands exactly what I ask for and executes it wonderfully. I get compliments on the street of my hair color. I would recommend Ali to anyone!

I highly recommend Jeri Delgado. I have difficult hair - can be frizzy and it is curly. She does a fantastic job and has wonderful experience with all hair types and even teaches people new to styling.
