Sarah is my favorite. Hip and trendy but solid and real in person with a genuine caring of all her clients. She listens to what you want, she can nail any style you bring a picture of, and will give it to you straight of what can be done or worked towards to get your perfect look. Her shop is adorable and lends easily to feeling you are catching up with a friend over tea. With a two hour color time, the atmosphere is important and I leave her shop feeling and looking fabulous every time!

Had Sarah do my hair for the first time last week, and let me tell you the whole experience was simply amazing. Walking into the salon was so warm and welcoming. Sarah is a true genius. A hair whisperer even!! I gave her a picture of what I thought I wanted, but after seeing the end result, it was so much more than the picture and I couldn't be happier. I'm absolutely in love with my new rainbow hair. Thank you Sarah, can't wait to set up my next appointment!!

I am 53, almost 54 years old, and this is literally the best haircut I have ever had. I washed my hair this morning, combed it for like 15 seconds, and then proceeded to put it up in a clip for the rest of the day. (I was doing a bunch of stuff where I needed my hair out of my face.) Now, almost 12 hours later, I took it down and combed it, and...my hair looks like I spent an hour styling it. The name "Genius Studios" is not just a name. Sarah is a bona fide genius when it comes to hair.

I have been with Sarah for over 12 yrs. She is an artist with color and hair design. I’m a physician and require a professional look. However, I appreciate a young look as well. As a Latina it is very important for my hair to be vibrant and well done. Sarah brings the entire hair package together! I love Sarah and am very appreciative of her artistic skills! I hesitate to share how amazing my experience with Sarah was because I want to be able to get in to see her easily, and I feel like the word is getting out. I had my first cut with her this morning and feel like I've found my holy Grail. Sarah and her salon are unpretentious, warm, and fun. She listened to what I was wanting and then- I guess-directly communicated with my hair which told her what to do. I just watched as she gave my hair exactly the vibe it wanted, knowing I will be able to easily keep it looking good on my own. She really, really knows what she's doing and is priced very fairly. I wasn't looking for color but will definitely hit her up for some brights when I am. Check her out (but don't so she doesn't get too popular!) ❤️

I've had the same haircut almost my whole life and told her I wanted something different. Gave her creative freedom and she did an amazing job. I have very long and thick hair, which is hard for a lot of stylists, and she managed it no problem. I will be making her my normal stylist from now on.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. Very unprofessional, and I sincerely do not recommend getting your hair cut or done here if you are African American or really any person with ethnic thick hair. She made very cringey remarks involving ethnicity, and ethnic products. Complained about detangling my dense hair as if she’s never dealt with my kind of hair. Made a remark of “kinda haircuts people like you get is a high top fade”. Just came here to get my hair cut for a wigs for kids donation and was by far the most unprofessional and worse hair salon experience.

Not only does the hair dresser, Sarah, not listen, she is rude as hell. No client lost but certainly not one gained either. Went into fix a problem - came out with that problem and several more. Not a single thing I said was listened to and she clearly didn't attempt to recreate hair, from a photo of myself, from several years ago. Idk what she thought she was doing but it doesn't work and will take months to correct per another stylist. Among other issues not mentioned, she also kept going on about my 'training.' I'm a human, not a animal. If you want me to follow you to a different room use your words.

I'm so glad I finally found Sarah and she is truly a baddass. My hair is thick, curly and out of control. I've always had a hard time finding someone to cut my hair. People don't seem to want to listen and they just don't know what to do with my mess. Sarah knew exactly what to do. I showed her pictures, she listened to me and my hair turned out amazing. I have a feeling even if I didn't show her any pictures and didn't say a word, she still would've given me a great cut because she's a genuine artist. She's got a great eye and a solid sensibility for what looks good. Now that I found her I will not go anywhere else. I love her so much I want to keep her all to my self (but that wouldn't be fair, would it).

On November 5th, 2021, I was having professional headshots and was referred to Sarah by a photographer for hair/makeup. I did like how I looked afterwards, but sadly, I did not find Sarah professional and cannot recommend her. After she completed my look, on my way out the door of her studio, she gave me a compliment then a hard slap on my butt while another client was waiting in the room. It was violating, humiliating and unwanted. I have already reached out to Sarah about this event, for which she had apologized for. But, for someone that struggles with anxiety and has been on the receiving end of unwanted touching in the past, I deserved to pay for a service and not be touched in this way. I am writing this review so that others can hopefully avoid this type of experience.

Sarah has some AMAZING hair cutting skills! Donated my hair to Wigs for Kids and it is not my first time chopping it off. Sarah is by far the most skilled stylist that has touched my hair. I went from super long hair to having really full and flirty short hair. I LOVE it! I have to tell you, I have a big identity with my long hair, and this is the shortest my hair has been but I have to say it’s one of my favorite cuts yet. Highly recommend 🙌

Sarah is the first hairdresser ever (and I've had many) to cut my hair to look the way I want and I am able to recreate the style at home. She understands my hair and that it acts differently. I have an amazing cut every time, even when I switch looks and I only need to blow it dry to have it look fabulous.

Sarah knows what she's doing! I come all the way from Colorado because she intuitively cuts my curly hair perfectly. If you have curls, you know it's hard to find someone you can trust. If you're like me and not a fan of the standardized Deva or Ouidad cuts, Sarah is your woman! I get so excited whenever I come to see her because I know I'm going to leave with a hot fresh cut!

Went in for a wigs for kids donation, but my hair was a little too short. I got a hair cut instead. Very timely and professional, good conversation and I loved Jack, the dog, who greeted me in the waiting room and was more than happy to pass the time with me!

I think I've been looking for this magical hair lady all my life, and I have finally found her. The studio she uses is absolutely wonderful, unique, cozy, kitschy, and welcoming. She is an incredible stylist; quite tenured, prepared, and skilled. She did both me and my six year old daughter in the same day, and well-outdid expectations!! It's so refreshing to have someone with a passion for her craft help me find my best hair! Thank you Sarah! See you so soon!

The experience at Genius Studios was amazing! I’ve been looking for years for a master cutter who can handle curl. Sarah knocks it out of the park y’all. She is very skilled. She needed little direction of my desired cut and she killed it! It’s everything I’ve been looking for, for years. Take a chance on Sarah you will not be disappointed. All around a great place.
