I had a great experience. Recommendations for products were honest and thorough. I booked a silent treatment, but felt comfortable enough to enjoy small talk. Scalp massage and consultation were better than I have ever had. Highly, highly recommended.

I would give Ginger & Maude more stars if I could, everyone's so nice and good at what they do. I'm especially grateful for Zack, he's a GENIUS. I always look and feel great after every single appointment. In my good hair era thanks to him, and I always get tons of compliments on how great my hair looks. I recommend him to anyone who needs a little hair magic in their lives ✨

My 15 year old daughter and I both went in to see Zack. She has waist length hair that has never been colored and has only been cut at a salon once before. My hair is long with lots of bright grey that was buried in heavy layers. Zack gave my daughter the most beautiful highlights and a trim that made them dance and glimmer. He gave me an amazing messy long layered cut that is breezy, beautiful and celebrates my greys. The salon is relaxed and doesn’t feel rushed or too busy. We love Zack and we will both go back again and again.

Stina is an artist! I have superfine, long hair. I had balayage and hair cut and look like a new person. She customized my cut and color for a stylish but low maintenance look, exactly what I wanted. I was a previous client and came here from south Florida for her to do my hair. Thank you Stina!

Wow! For the first time in my life, I absolutely love my haircut. Jennifer was accommodating and understanding. She happily experimented with me until we decided on my perfect cut. We had a lovely conversation; like talking to an old friend. I could not recommend her work more. Reegan is amazing! She has been doing my hair for over 3 years and am always happy with the outcome. She is so talented and for someone who needs an expert to lead me her artistic ability makes me feel so comfortable. I can always trust her to make the right decision and not push a color or push a cut, but really listen to me and what I’m looking for. She is so warm, caring and authentically interested in me and what’s happening in my life. Reegan isn’t gold she is platinum:).

Stephanie was exceptional. She gave me a free consultation which I really appreciate hate since so many stylists charge for that now. She is a great listener and she did a phenomenal job with subtle grey blending on my hair. Highly recommend her and the salon.

I went to a salon to get my hair done and paid an arm and a leg for my hair to be destroyed. When I went to G&M to consult on how to move forward, they offered to use me as a model for teaching color correction to their apprentices. Lauren, who is not even licensed yet, did a FLAWLESS job on my hair! The Director was there as well to provide creative guidance, and it was such a positive experience. I have not loved the look of my hair this much in years - this was the best blonding I’ve gotten in a minute and I can’t wait to go back next time :)

Ginger and Maude has amazing stylists and has been my best hair salon and hair dyeing experience HANDS down. I’ve never felt more confident and beautiful in my life than with the hair my stylist gave me. She had a vision ,created magic, and made my hair turn out beautiful! I loved my hair ♥️♥️and am so happy with how it turned out. I would recommend this salon to anyone shopping around.

I have been going to different stylists at Ginger and Maude Slabtown. Today, Kel was amazing!!! She gave a new life to my lifeless hair. She listened patiently and provided suggestions turning the experience into a great one! The head massage served as a great morning pick-me-up. Thank you, I highly recommend this salon and Kel! Jennifer has been cutting my wavy hair and helping me look good for about 16 years. She gives me a wonderful cut that makes me look like I have more hair than I actually do (yay!) She is warm and friendly and honest in her evaluations about your hair, what will look good and what won't look good. I trust her judgement and love the results. Sixteen years!!! ❤️

Mini highlight service and haircut with Reegan. After first service I felt highlights should have started closer to roots and I was kindly offered to come in for a touch up. Highlights came out very fresh looking but a lot lighter overall than I expected with my left side feeling lighter/more platinum compared to my right. Disappointed I will have to start over with growing out front of my hair to fix over bleaching. Way too light and fried my curls out

Don't go here for hair dye if you have really thick dark hair. I have dark brown 2c hair and neither a stylist nor their educator knew how to properly dye my hair at G&M. Originally I came in with most of my face framing money pieces already very bleached(3 former sessions elsewhere to get blonde). I wanted to get a root touch up and turn the blonde to a grey. The stylist named Reagan tried to give me gray money pieces, and couldn't do it properly even after 2 sessions(1 session paid, 1 free followups). She couldn't match the new blonded root growth to the existing blonde leaving me with 2 different grey colors as a result. The 3rd session was done by an educator at G&M named Nicki, and while the day of I left with a beautiful grey color, she had also applied a dark purple tint of some kind to the newly blonded roots I mentioned earlier(to get rid of any brassyness). She assured me the purple would wash out really quickly. definitely did not. I still have purple in my hair 3 weeks later, with a grey transition down to yellowing ends. So 3 sessions later all I ended up getting is purple, green/grey and blonde hair all at once. I wish these stylists would just be more honest if giving a dark hair person the color they want isn't in their wheelhouse cause over 200$ and 3 sessions of time is such a frustrating thing to go through. I just went through a situation at a different salon in the area that couldn't properly blond my hair either and I was hoping G&M would be able to do me right. Sad to say that wasn't the case... The customer service was great and I do believe they wanted me to leave happy with my hair hence the 2 free followups but if an EDUCATOR can't properly dye hair there then I really can't trust their work.
