Karina did a great job on my hair! The colors and cut are great. She takes the time and listens to what you want while also giving her professional knowledge. The 3hrs in the chair went by very quickly!

I have been seeing Deanna for three years. She changed my relationship to my hair from thinking it was hopeless to appreciation. It is relaxing to be in her shop, some combination of warmth and cheer. Hard to describe, but very nice!

Stephanie does a great job with my curly hair, including respect respecting the all important “I must be able to pull it into a ponytail” rule!

I wouldn’t come back. I scheduled for a silent service but there was another stylist who was talking so loud in the small salon during the entire service. During the styling, stylist turnt up the heat of the blow dryer and directed too close to my scalp. I felt she was rushing. I don’t like that it’s not an option to skip the hair wash and blowout. It would cut the cost. It wasn’t even relaxing as it could have been. I wanted it to end early. The person was too rough with her hands. I felt tense and not relaxed. Those chairs are not great for your posture. She kept having me tilt my head which made me feel kind of in pain because I have spine issues. Like couldn’t she have adjusted the height of the chair instead and not make me do so much work… I wanted a shorter length based on the photos I showed. She wasn’t flexible to cut shorter if I said I wanted it shorter later down the line. The hair in my back is like too choppy looking. I have to style my hair regularly to make it look decent which I low key am not excited about. Too pricey. I wouldn’t come back. Keep your money. Not an overall even close to decent experience. ): I was kind enough to tip for the effort and time but like I didn’t enjoy my time based on my specific requests. My desires were far from met. I felt ignored. Highly disappointed!

I have been a client of Ginger and Maude for the past 5 years and have had nothing but great experiences with the stylist, Beau. I appreciate the ease of scheduling, the automated appointment communication, cleanliness of the salon, and friendly nature of all the people I have interacted while doing business with them. I am someone who doesn't like to fuss with my hair and my stylist gives me a cut that is easy to maintain and manage.

Paige is such a gem!! I have had some hair horror stories and she was very receptive to my concerns and educated with how to go about my specific color and style as a ginger. I love how my haircut + gloss turned out!! I’ll definitely be coming back. 🧡

I did a big chop (shoulder length to a bixie) with Jennifer. I loved how she looked at my inspiration photos and my ideas and took my hair's texture into account, as well as my total lack of styling knowledge. She checked in with me frequently for feedback as she cut, and made me feel so listened to. Plus we had a great conversation and really vibed! At the end, I felt so happy and beautiful and my hair was totally transformed. It was honestly the best haircut experience I've had, as in the past I was vague with my style requests and didn't feel comfortable enough to speak up more. I will return to Jennifer, and would recommend her to anyone else.

Jennifer at the NE Fremont location is an absolute delight!! Her talent and skills hair cutting/coloring are just the cherry on top. My hair cuts and colors from jennifer have always been perfect, and even get better as the days go on! I trust Jennifer and don’t even have to bring in inspo pics anymore. Go see my gal!! You won’t regret it!!

A salon -- and stylists -- with talent, integrity and character. I'm in my 60s and I don't want a girly cut. My wife is in her 60s and *does* want a girly cut. Kel satisfies both of us. Plus, the Fremont location has the added advantage of an awesome coffee house right down the block.

Great haircut from Stina in a small and attractive space on Fremont Avenue. She asked a lot of questions before even washing, and gave me what I wanted. Very professional and friendly. And congratulations to Deanna Everson, one of the founders of Ginger and Maude Salon, for winning the Kevin Murphy ICON award, which is "a celebration of the everyday heroes, The ICONs, that are making a positive impact in our industry." Very well deserved!

I’ve seen Celeste twice now, once at the Fremont and once at the Foster location. She did an amazing cutting my fine wavy hair, making it go from disorganized wavy and straight chunkiness to consistent waves and feathering. Getting ready in the morning just got easier with this great haircut. She did a good job of listening.

This is a fabulous salon with very well-trained, attentive, skilled stylists. Beau is my go-to stylist and I am never disappointed with his ability to distill my confused and abstract hair complaints into something that I didn't even know how to ask for. I have also had appointments with other stylists and found them to be wonderful as well. So, thanks to Ginger salon for being a place that I love and trust!
