I always have the best experience at Gio & Gio. The owner is really friendly, and it’s a welcoming place. I get my hair done by Babee, who is so professional and the best hairstylist I’ve known in years. I always leave the salon feeling so confident!! I highly recommend this place!

With great regret, I must say that this was the worst haircut experience I’ve ever had, where the stylist demonstrated a clear lack of professionalism. I specifically requested a straight cut of 5 cm off my hair, but the stylist ended up cutting my front strands very short, insisting that “this is how it should be done.” My hair ended up being of different lengths. The entire procedure was done on dry hair, which was quite unusual. To make matters worse, the stylist - man even cut their own fingers during the process 🩸—highly unprofessional! A visit to a beauty salon should leave clients feeling energized and beautiful, not sitting wide-eyed, holding back tears. I sincerely hope the salon improves its service and ensures that its stylists actually listen to what clients are asking for!

Too bad 5 is the most stars I can give. Gio & Gio is by far the best salon around. Friendly, professional, outstanding and knowledgeable stylists and incredibly reasonable for such a high end salon. My wife, children and myself have all been going there for years. We’ve been to downtown, PB and Hillcrest locations and had the same result at all locations. Love them!!

Logan did a really great job with my blowout. I was able to make a last minute appointment and she worked quickly but diligently and did the exact style I wanted only using a blow dryer

I booked with Noi for the first time after a last-minute cancellation by my regular stylist at another salon. I was a little nervous going in, not knowing what to expect, but Noi's knowledge and experience quickly became evident, and I walked out with a beautiful, natural-looking honey blonde balayage and fresh trim that were even better than I'd hoped for. Came here for some ash blonde baby lights and was left with an orange striped mess and was still charged over $390 I nicely asked the stylist if she could not rip the brush through my wet bleached hair and instead she got an attitude and argued with me instead, I will absolutely never go here again that was such a nightmare and she left my hair feeling like straw and half broken off, I wouldn't even rate you guys 1 star considering the owner sat there and watched it happen!!!!! Shame on all of you throw your license away because you're horrible at your jobs

Jayleen is the BEST!!! I’ve been going to her now for two years and even have my 7 yr old daughter coming here to her. Jayleen asks questions to make sure she understands what you want while keeping your hairs characteristics in mind. She makes you feel comfortable and does a great job. Also the owner Mr. Gio is outstanding. He takes pride in his salon. He always pops in, makes the appts and does his best to work around your busy schedule as a client. And ITS affordable! Thank you for a job well done and a good business concept here!

After moving to SD with no go-to hairstylist, I can happily say that I have never looked any further after meeting Logan. You can show her a picture for inspiration and she can replicate the look. I’ve had extensions, color, and cuts by her and all have been exactly what I asked for. You won’t be disappointed!

Had a great experience, I have curly hair and was looking for a new salon. My stylist was Noi, she cut my hair the perfect length, and had her own input which I trusted. All for a good price! Definitely coming back here next time.

Every time I come out of this salon, I feel beautiful, relaxed, and happy. And I owe it all to Sunny. I have been a client for a couple of years now. Sunny is consistent and really cares about the clients' best interests for their overall image. She takes the time to know what the clients likes, what will work best for them, and what the hair needs. She asks very thorough questions, I always feel heard, and what I ask is exactly what she delivers. I don't think I could ever get that elsewhere. Her consistency is important because I know I will come out happy every time. Also! My hair always seems to grow ten times faster after she cuts it. She is very skillful and knowledgable about the salon's products. It is a happy day when going to the Gio & Gio salon.

I am in San Diego for a company conference and needed to get my hair done. I looked up salons in the area near The Guild Hotel and found Gio & Gio. I had a wonderful experience, Jayleen washed and blow dried my hair, she did an excellent job. I would definitely come back to this salon!

I had my hair done Tape in extension, and flat, iron and color. It was the best experience I never had my hair was soft and straight Logan. She did my hair. She was wonderful patient sweet she took her time to do it. Ask for Logan, you won’t be disappointed

I have naturally curly hair ive been here in the past workers were always nice and friendly but it seems that the new hair stylists are a bit more mature i guess its more for older people like in their 50’s and 60’s now. Other than that my recent experience the lady that was straightening my hair saw my eyes were tearing up and she said i thought you would be used to this by now…. As a hairstylist shouldnt she know shes supposed to go easy on clients? Because of my curly hair yes it was painful when i was young because no one knew how to brush my hair but a person working at a salon really didn't know how to comb my hair without hurting me. The fact that my eyes teared up says a lot about how aggressive she was being.

I walked in for a hair cut and they were packed with patrons but they were able to seat me within 15 minutes. My stylist was very friendly and gave me exactly the cut I asked for without making me feel like don’t know what works on my own hair. She did a great job!

Im in San Diego for vacation and I really needed a haircut. I chose Gio and Gio last second and it didn't disappoint me. The service was great, the Stylists were nice and kind. The Salon was clean and looked very nice from the inside. I had really messy hair and Logan took care of it. When I come back to San Diego, I will definitely choose Gio and Gio again! Ask for Logan, 10/10 haircut.

Jay is the best!! She gave me the exact cut I wanted. I have really thin hair and most hair stylists give me very meh bangs. Jay took it above and beyond, asking me specific questions to make sure I got the cut like in the photo. I didn’t even know my hair could look like this! Highly recommend Jay!!

WOW! If I could give this salon more than 5 stars I would. I called the same day and got scheduled for a hair cut and full head of highlights. They were fun, professional and really took their time with my hair cut. One of the girls even offered warm tea since it was cold outside. Ineth did wonders to my dry dull hair and couldnt thank her and the girls at the salon. Gio/owner, was so kind and understanding when I told him I was running late. The whole experience was amazing. Fantastic prices too! The Will continue my hair services at this location :)
