Gio - the owner is so involved! He accommodated to my time, date and location of choice. Gio listened to my hair style idea and linked me to the most friendly, caring, experienced stylist, Jasmine! She was so personable and so mindful to my hair style request. I can't complain at all about experience! Thank you so much!

i have been going to this location for about 3-4 years and i have always been pleased with the service! even through different styles of cuts, dying, perming, i've done it all here. they're so welcoming, they know you by name, and even remember your specific requests. they play close attention to their work and the pricing is absolutely fair. i'm a lifer at gio & gio!

Terrible Salon Experience! Avoid at All Costs! I had the most horrifying experience at this salon. I came in for a some highlights, lowlights and a root smudge and everything seemed fine—until it was time to see the results. After washing out my hair, they insisted I not look in the mirror because they wanted to “surprise” me. Against my better judgment, I trusted them. When I finally saw my hair, I was shocked. My hair was jet black—completely different from the soft blonde color I had requested. I never asked for black hair, and they didn’t consult me before making such a drastic change. To make matters worse, they overcharged me significantly! When I asked for a partial refund they refused saying they never give refunds. No refund, no accountability, just attitude. This salon doesn’t care about their customers at all. Avoid this place unless you want to be overcharged, disrespected, and leave with a hairstyle you hate! This salon is deceitful, unprofessional, and unapologetic. I’ve never felt so ripped off or disrespected in my life. Do yourself a favor and stay far away!

OBSESSED with my new hair color & style thanks to the amazing Ray! I've gotten my hair cut & colored all over San Diego & no where has prices better than Gio & Gio along with a staff full of knowledgeable hairdressers. Ray & the rest of the staff were extremely nice & helpful, Ray listened to what I wanted & it turned out even better than I was expecting!! No parking but it was easy enough on the street early enough in the day.

I've gone here 3 times now and Suha and Desaree have done my cuts and color. I cannot say enough about this place. It's bright, clean and everyone is friendly. I have been very pleased with all the services I have received, including having about 7 inches cut off in a new style! I get so many compliments on my hair. As if that weren't enough, their prices are the BEST you will find in the area...by far! Very pleased with everything about Gio & Gio!!

I called on Monday and spoke to Gio and requested two appointments one for me and one for my bestie. Gio was very accommodating. Ana was my stylist. I am to the 🌙 with joy As for the results of my highlights, root touchup, cut and style. I enjoyed the atmosphere the salon was clean, modern with an open floor plan in fabulous PB. The prices were very reasonable. I highly recommend this salon you will not be disappointed.

Jasmine did a wonderful job cutting my hair. I was nervous as I’ve had experiences in the past where I’ve gotten more cut off than I wanted and she made sure I was definitely comfortable with the length she was cutting. 10/10 recommend her and this salon! Super clean and I always love coming here. I left feeling like a new woman and I’ll be back! :)

Growing my hair out for the first time and decided to try Gio&Gio as it was close by and looked nice from the outside. Booking was a breeze from the website to a confirmation call to see what I needed to better serve me. Was able to get in the next day and actually got to meet the owner Gio who was very nice and personable enough to sit down and get to know me and what I was looking for. Suha, took care of me and was quite informative and understanding of my new situation. Detail oriented and didn’t push any treatments or extras on me that I didn’t need. All in all, great experience everything turned out great and was reasonably priced too. Looking forward to coming back soon!

It's been journey to find the style that fits me with my short hair, and also having people being able to work with me and my inspirations. I needed a trim, another try. So I booked an appointment here at Gio and Gio Booking was smooth, I got a text message confirming my appointment and arrived. Destiny was the one who helped me Starting off She has great vibes, and I had great conversations with her. She asked me what I would like, showed her two pictures and after she explained to me her approach. When she was cutting my hair she was in her element. She took focus and time with my hair In the process she would show me how it was turning out and explained to me how and what to use to style my hair. I would 10/10 recommend her I'm defiantly going to book with her again. My hair now is what I was looking for :)

Destiny gave me the best hair cut I’ve ever had a few weeks ago and I’m still so happy! I’ve never had someone take such good care of my hair for just a long cut to like a more medium length with some layers. Actually going to start regularly getting a haircut again!

New to the area and went in with a lot of specifics in terms of what I was looking for. Woman who cut my hair never even introduced herself so couldn’t tell you her name. She kept spinning me around in the chair so I couldn’t see what was going on in the mirror. Extremely unhappy with the outcome of my first haircut. No worse feeling than being unhappy when you look at yourself in the mirror.

This is the best hair salon in San Diego! Suha knows my hair structure and knows exactly how to handle it. The color and cut always matches my facial complexion and the blow dry stays for days. I have curly, frizzy hair and she know how to tame it.
