Making an appointment was super easy! Very flexible with times and days. She reminded me that the new location is a different address: 2050 W 21st St. I went in for brow threading and my brows came out PERFECT. I have a hard time trusting people near my brows but she was so gentle and made sure I knew of the shape I wanted. Very relaxed environment & will definitely be going back 💓

Love love this place, Maria is absolutely amazing. My brows needed some TLC . She walked me through the process and let me see everything while she was working on me. I told her what i wanted and she showed me what i needed by my face. She treats her customers like family and always makes sure they leave happy! I’ve been going to her for years now and won’t see another person. From brows to lashes she always gets you right!

Make my appointment over text. Owner didn’t think to let me know they moved locations. I called and she said this happens all the time. Took 25 minutes to send me her new address. I wasted my whole lunch break driving all around town looking for the salon and never got a service done. Can’t say much about their services but their customer service definitely needs some work. Won’t be attempting again.

The first salon was small and dingy. She moved to New location and didn't tell me so I had to drive to the new location. Was seated in the one chair they had. It was very unprofessional and I had to wait 30 minutes, so I was late for other stuff. She told me to draw on the eyebrows I wanted..I thought well im pqying 450 for this, you should do it!!! They were uneven and the color looked like a prison tattoo. The 2nd appt. Wasn't much better. I honestly don't think she likes white people or Republicans lol..in her conversation it was very apparent! Her skill and professionalism does NOT match they price she charges!! Please please find somewhere else to go, don't walk, RUN far away from this sham of a salon!!! Also...you can tell the level of her professionalism by the way she responds to these reviews!! Also saying to people, you will reap what you so we'll ms.maria, you are reaping what you sow by getting these bad reviews for your poor services. You shouldn't be allowed to groom dogs let alone do what you're doing! Stick to something else because you skills are terrible. Listen people, you'd be better off checking into the county jail and let Big Bob do your tattooing cuz it would be much better...no joke!!! ( Now she says she never met me lol...I was in your crummy dingy salon on July 28, 2020...but good try cleaning it up lol....people please go to someone who has the necessary training and experience or just go get it done at the county jail..probably better at the county lol)

You should know ahead of time that this business does not accept credit cards or Apple Pay (at least they didn’t when I was there in November). I wasn’t aware of that until after my service. I spent 20 minutes after my appointment trying to download those money transfer apps so I could pay. However, the owner Maria was very friendly and did a good job on my brows (thread and tint). The place was a little hard to find as there was no big sign, and Apple took me to their old location on 13th (the new one is on 21st). But it was nice and clean on the inside. I appreciated that the owner had lots of experience and that my brows turned out how I wanted them.

- Micro blading / micro shading (was supposed to fade from one to another but that is clearly what DID NOT HAPPEN). My eyebrows are terribly uneven and I am currently in the removal process to have them redone by another artist in Wichita (at symbolic tattoo). When the NEW local artist did the graphing on my face it was VERY obvious and apparent where my eyebrows were uneven. When getting my brows done at the FacePlace Maria even went as far as to ask me to draw in my own eyebrows how I usually do them..... The ENTIRE purpose of me getting my eyebrows done was because I did NOT have the confidence in being able to evenly draw on my own eyebrows. When I pointed out to Maria that they were uneven she asked me to make an appointment to come back in two weeks because she overbooked my appointment with another and had another client waiting while she attempted to do both of our eyebrows at the same time. - she also probably did not want the other client knowing their was an issue with my work so she rushed me out. I have been contemplating on leaving this review for almost a year because I truly believe in supporting small and local businesses but when it comes to something as permanent as micro blading and micro shading you can never be to careful with who you trust. I am writing this review in hopes that others will not have to endure this LONG process just to have the eyebrows they desire. As we all know micro blading and micro shading is an investment so investing that money in the wrong person or business can become a very quick money pit. I will now be paying an additional $500 for my eyebrows to be removed and re done. This all could have been prevented if the original artist would have been upfront about not having confidence in their ability to master my eyebrows. WHICH she clearly was not able to do. - I would also like to note that the new artist I am working with has stated that she has already had to REDO several of Maria's clients brows. So when she told me this I knew it wasn't just me and it completely validated my experience with Maria and the FacePlace. - Lastly I would like to note that when I originally picked Maria to do my eyebrows it was because of the overwhelming amount of 5 star reviews she had on google. So PLEASE do not be blindsided by that.

The best I have been going to Maria for years, I started out with eyebrows threading every weels, then I also had her do my eye lashe extensions with fill in every 4 weeks or as needed, and now I go to her for threading and and eyelashe lift and tint (eyelash perms) every 8 weeks. I will soon be going for my winged eyeliner and eyebrow microblading tattoos. Love HER and highly recommend her services.

I went in for a consult and was not comfortable enough to have it done. I ended up going to Beautiful skin by Jane instead. I was way more comfortable with her and she's a RN as well. A more expensive but well worth it.

Maria always does an awesome job! I moved from Oklahoma to Portland and came all the way back to Kansas for a touch up on my brows from 2 years ago. I don’t trust anyone else to do my brows and eyeliner. I am very dark skin toned and she covered up the last lady who did my brows and made a mess of them and used the wrong ink for my dark tone. Maria is a lifesaver! She found a color to look natural and cover up the old brow tattoo from the lady before! Thank you so much for making me feel confident and beautiful again.

The Face Place is my go to every thing for my face place. Maria is very artistically talented!! Her skill when choosing the best shape of your brow is unique. I have fine lines around my upper lip and thanks to Maria's micro needle process my fines are barely noticeable.. THANK YOU MARIA

The Face Place is an AWESOME place to go for microblading needs. Maria does an awesome job. I am a dark skinned black woman who had a bad experience at another place but Maria fixed that botch job and i absolutely love my brows. Give her a call. She'll fix you right on up. Thanks Maria.
