Best haircut I've had in years! I have an undercut and medium length hair. Every time I’ve gotten a haircut elsewhere they butcher it! Almost like they do the opposite! Dorka and Eric cut my hair, Eric cleaned up my undercut and Dorka cut and styled my hair! Both paid attention to detail, asked questions. I never want my hair styled because they never do what i want. But I decided to try again. Dorka did an amazing job. She asked how I wear my hair , what i prefer , what i don’t like and i ended up with a great haircut and style. What sucks us that i live in CA and here on business and wont be able to come here unless im visiting:’(

Very attentive to detail. They listened to my precise instruction about just giving me a simple hair wash and trim to take off split ends. The results were amazing. My hair looks the healthiest it has in a very long time. Thank you!

To begin with, this hair salon is dingy and my hair cut was atrocious. I asked for natural blended layers and got a haircut where the top half of my hair is a bob and the underneath half goes down down to my chest. Which I couldn't tell at the time and ask him to fix, due to the styling he did to cover up his mistake. I showed up with my natural hair and emphasized that it is wavy to curly hair and the cut had to suit it, which he said he could do. iI looks absolutely horrible when dried naturally, the curls do not blend at all and I look like Hermoine. My only solution was to have the bottom half cut off by another hair dresser, and now I have a bob I never wanted.

I have been coming to Glamour Center for almost 10 years and it's the only place in NYC I will ever go From the moment you walk in, you will be treated like family, whether it's your first or 101st time.The staff are as culturally diverse as one can find in NYC, so the fact that all of them go out of their way to make you feel welcomed is not a coincidence Eddie, the owner, originally from Russia, is both a terrific stylist and an even better person. Suat ( Turkish) and Kee (Thailand) are both excellent for doing Men's cuts. For the ladies, they pretty much devote 2/3 of the space to, and I always see women leaving there ecstatic with the cuts, colors, highlights or whatever process they have done. I highly recommend Dorka, who Is personable and caring and will 100% make sure you are satisfied from beginning to end If you are looking for a great place at a reasonable price, look no further than Glamour Center!!!

Made time for us quickly when Ulta at 34th accidentally double booked a stylist and recommended this salon. My son has long wavy hair and the barber did a fantastic job cutting it. Very nice people, great price. Cute fish tank to keep kid entertained for our short wait.

I had a wonderful experience at this salon! Here are the reasons why: - Friendly and welcoming staff - My hairstylist Dorka was professional, warm, and explained each step of the process. She asked several times throughout the experience how I felt about my hair and my preferences. - Diverse staff with diverse clientele. I'm always hesitant about going to new salons because of my curly hair, but they knew exactly how to treat it. - I didn't want to blowdry my hair straight after the highlights (not my style) and Dorka made sure to moisturize my hair well before drying the curls. - It's a convenient location near many food options and stores to buy hair products. - Prices are very reasonable for the level of service and location (better than others in the area I've looked into). - I love the final result!

I had full highlights with haircut. I have long heavy hairs. It took 5 hours to finish the look I wanted. The results were exactly what I was looking for. Ms Dorka was very detailed and professional yet very friendly. Ms Dorka had to do double rounds of dye with my hairs as they are long and a lot:). At the end Ms Dorka was excited more than me. I saw the passion and true love in her eyes for her work! She gave her best to give the quality results! If someone is picky and apprehensive when it comes to hairdo, I will recommend try this salon and especially Ms Dorka!

I had my hair cut and highlighted by Suat, recommended by a friend. Suat welcomed me very well , I had been thinking about cutting my hair short and coloring it for a while. He made me feel relaxed and chatted with me until he knew exactly what I wanted. I was really happy with the result in the end. Thank you so much, Suat!

Always get my haircuts from here. It's a unisex hair salon/barber shop that is easily divided for men on one side and women on the other. I get my hair cuts from a guy named Kee which does great work, and ever since the first day I've been a regular and he knows what I want, maybe even throw in a twist of something new that I dont get disappointed with.

Despite discovering a talented and kind stylist Dorka during the pandemic, my positive experiences at the salon have been marred by the unprofessionalism and racist comments of another stylist paulette- who’s chair is right across from Dorka. The rundown, ancient, barber shop, Vibe, which isn’t, my usual preference, was bearable thanks to Dorka, skills and personality. Unfortunately, Paulette’s offensive racist remarks prompted me to reconsider, and even after, addressing the issue with the owner, no significant action was taken. The salons tolerance for such behavior, including comments made to a child and incidents where people of color are staged outside the doors is disheartening. While I value Dorka’s talents I cannot support a business that condones racism and employs individuals contributing to TOXIC ATMOSPHERE. A salon visit should be positive, feel good place and unfortunately, this one fall short period. In conclusion, despite Dorka‘s excellence, or using a Groupon (upcharged) the overall Toxic Atmosphere, in the presence of an unprofessional stylist makes it difficult for me to recommend or continue patronage.

Eddie has been my barber for almost 20 years. And I haven't lived in the area since 2016. I've tried many others but none can compare. So I try to schedule my haircuts for when I'm visiting NYC just so I can go to Eddie.

Good service. But, relatively pricey. I was charged $25 on top of the haircut of $30, apparently for medium lengths. Also, a child hair cut for $35, for an avg looking salon felt expensive.

I trekked to this place based on reviews I’d seen for it on GroupOn, Yelp, and Google Maps but was definitely not worth it. I got up charged nearly what I paid for my service. The customer service was fine they were not explicit on their additional fees which felt arbitrary to me. I will not be going back. You can definitely find places better priced and outside of midtown area. Extremely disappointed if I could have cancelled the voucher I would have.

Vincent is an exceptional barber with undeniable talent when it comes to cutting hair and grooming beards. Despite his somewhat brusque demeanor, his skill in the art of barbering is undeniable. My experience in his barber chair was, without a doubt, one of the best. I would wholeheartedly recommend him, 100%! I'll certainly be returning time and time again to enjoy his skilled hands.

Went in yesterday and honestly the place is cramped, unsanitary and on a summer day there was no AC so imagine the odor in the place. Went in for a wash, cut and blow. I'll leave it as simple as this: I was in and out in less than 30 mins. My wash was 5 mins, cut was 10 mins, and blowout was 10 mins and 5 mins to pay. Very bad wash (no scrubbing/massaging) followed by a mediocre cut, a rushed blowout and overcharged service. All my edges were frizzy and curly and I asked her to fix them but she pointed the blowdryer at it for 10 secs and said done. Walked out looking worse than how I came in. Avoid at all cost

Dorka is very friendly, polite, and did an excellent job! I love my highlights!They look exactly how I wished.Dorka found the right color for me and did thin and discrete highlights as she told me. I will go again to her. However the salon is old and needs renovation.
