Binta Jeng is the absolute best! I’ve been looking for a hairstylist to help me get the prettiest braided hairstyles, and Binta and her mother does just that. They are so nice, and professional, the environment is very calming (almost fell asleep once lol), and they get straight to the point - as with the price as well (via StyleSeat). So many times whenever I went to get my hair braided by others, the braids are stiff, the braiders get distracted and take forever, or they are rough/tight with my hair. I’ve received so many compliments on my hairstyles, making me feel so much more confident in how I look, and happy that I can give my hair a rest from constant styling/brushing. Thank you so much Binta!

I had a very disappointing experience with this braider. Initially, the service started off well. The mother parted my hair, and the daughter began braiding. I asked if she could grip tighter, as that’s my preference. She agreed and continued braiding. After a few more braids she asked if it felt better, I said yes, but then things took a turn. She suddenly began undoing my braids, saying that my request had made her uncomfortable. This was incredibly frustrating because I rarely speak up about my preferences, precisely to avoid experiences like this. To top it off, she then carelessly shoved all of my pre-sectioned hair back into its packaging, leaving it tangled and unusable. This experience was not only unprofessional but also left me feeling disrespected as a client. I would not recommend this braider if you value good customer service.

Said i should find someone else to book because i asked to bring one person with me because im new to the area. There were also no policies about bringing anyone to the appointment so i called to be sure it wasn’t a problem. She told me over the phone that it would be fine and then sent me this. I never said i was uncomfortable with her being home based and when i said that over the phone AND in the message she never responded. Very Unprofessional.

This is my go to for getting my hair braided! Binta and her mom do an AMAZING job every single time! They are quick and efficient and make you feel so comfortable during the entire appointment. After getting my hair braided the first time, I knew I would not need to keep searching for another stylist. I have been back several times since :) (pics are smedium tribal braids)

Binta and her mom do an amazing job with any hairstyle you may imagine! From braids and installs to faux locs the amount of attention and detail they put into each hairstyle cannot be matched. They are always friendly and do exceptional work in a reasonable amount of time. Would highly recommend!

I’m a mother who loves to keep my daughter’s hair done, as much as my own. I have a daughter who plays multiple sports, so a reliable and consistent hairstylist is a must! From the moment I booked an appointment with Binta my experience was phenomenal. She was available and was able to communicate effectively and answer questions that I had prior to the appointment. My daughter had a wonderful experience her first time here. Bita and her mom are a wonderful duo! She gets you in and out in no time and back to your day feeling amazing, while still being very precise and thorough with each part and strand of hair. Binta is passionate about what she does and personally cares for each and every one of her clients and their hair care. Binta's work is hands DOWN the BEST in CHARLOTTE!!! The WHOLE experience was GREAT. She was very professional, attentive to my hair care needs, and gave GREAT advice on different styles that would look good on me as well as gave me after care instructions as to how to maintain my braids. I GREATLY APPRECIATE her PASSION and PROFESSIONALISM and I will DEFINITELY be returning!!!
