The whole experience was bad from the start. I scheduled an appointment for 3:30pm then about 12:45 the lady Dantionna , rescheduled me to 2pm the changed it back to 3:30pm. When I arrived at 3:15pm no one answered the door or the phone number posted in the window for the business. Then once a woman who lived above the establishment notified them i was outside. Then I was informed Dantionna had left for the day because a previous appointment had canceled. I left then got a phone call that Dantionna was parking and I could still get my hair braided. I went back and asked for simple cornrows. Now my hair should have only had 6-8 braids I ended up with 16 tiny braids. Which looks horrible for my face. She used gel to part and grease my scalp which left my head feeling wet and sticky all day. From the braids you can tell she is a novice at the craft.Then to top it off they had trouble billing the card i had to put on the website they use “booksy”. The salon is supposed be a goof experience that leaves you feeling better and looking good, what happened to the good ol’ days?

The stylist did a great job on my daughter's hair yesterday and my daughter was so happy with it. Plus it was fast and the price was reasonable. I even tipped the stylist for her services. I might wanna go there to hlget my hair did by them myself. I recommend this place. Plus the atmosphere was great and clean.

I was so excited to support this business. I booked my first appointment with them and they texted me saying they had to cancel my appointment less than 24 hours before my scheduled appointment because the stylist had an emergency,and I had an event to attend the next day. I was offered alternative times however due to my schedule I needed to have my hair done at the time I booked 2 weeks prior. The owner told me the stylist who were able to do the style I wanted and they tried to have me book with a stylist who was not mentioned before when I inquired about the style. I didn’t want to take that chance after reviewing the work I seen on social media. Overall it was just a disappointing experience when I didn’t even make it in the door. Wish there was a better protocol for situations like this.

Nice space and nice people. I had an appointment with Dantionna. I got a rod set on natural hair. For the price the service did not meet my expectations. Left with hair frizzy and looking nothing like the style I showed her from a picture.

I Found this shop a year ago and every visit has been great. I am always greeted and feel welcome. Shavon always does a great job. The entire shop does great work as I have watched them do new/different styles thinking yea I'm getting that next.

I scheduled an appointment today, and received a text message stating thay stylist Dee was running late asking could I come later. I confirmed by text and recieved a follow up call stating the same. I am now standing outside of the locked door. I called the main number and no response. I called that number that sent me the text and a woman abruptly told me the door was open. It is locked, and the number is no longer responsive. I would have appreciated it if they just told me the appointment was not available or cancelled. There was no need to have me come when they were clearly not offering service today. Obviously, it was not such an emergency that they couldn't answer the phone because they did answer only to leave me standing outside. Thia level of customer service is horrific.

Today I went to Glo on braids, I mixed up my appointment. I thought it was for today at 9:30am and I canceled it and didn't realize it. Shavon took me. I offered to come at another time but she extended herself to fit me in. I love her spirit and her professionalism. She is one of a kind. Thank you so much Shavon. Her are amazing.

I am truly sadden to have to write this review. However, with my last few experiences, Glo On Braids have left me with no choice. In March, I asked for box braids with black and blond coloring. The braider (Rita) decided to use Ombre hair for the braids. The owner Shavon, who is beyond amazing, told the braider that I usually never get that color. I politely said that the coloring was fine. However, as my braider was doing my hair, I said to her "can you make them shorter." She refused, by saying if she were to make them shorter, the ombre color would not show. Well, I never asked for the Ombre color to begin with, but clearly she wanted to do my hair the way she wanted too. So, I ended with braids to my waistline, which I ended up cutting hours later. Not only were the braids long, but some of the braids were bigger than other. Oh, let's not mention, she showed up 15 to 20 mins late without apologizing for her tardiness. In June, I went there again to get my hair touched up. This time I was receiving individual twists, which by a week later were falling out of my head. Last week, I made an appointment to receive a natural twist out with my ends clip for June 9th, 2021 at 9 am with Rita. On Wednesday 07 july 2021, I received a confirmation for the same appointment. Today, 08 June 2021, something told me to check my email, which was an update that my appointment was cancelled. No explanation as to why, nor phone call. I have been going here for about 3 years now and the last few experiences have been terrible. Especially when I have experienced other businesses do phenomenal job with braiding my hair exactly how I asked and have called and confirmed my appointment the day prior. Unfortunately, this was my last attempt with this place of business.

I booked an online appointment and it was confirmed. They canceled the appointment the following day with no explanation. I understand if you cannot perform the service, but to cancel with no explanation is very unprofessional.

I honestly don't even know what to write. I booked an appointment weeks in advance for mid-back, medium sized Senegalese twists in color 1 with a little 350 in the front. See the pictures for what I got. All kinds of different shapes, sizes and lengths. Not one twist is the same size from top to bottom, these are cones. Also when I got there they didn't have any 1 so I had to get 1b which is crazy because it's such a basic color. And lastly I am writing this 6 days after getting my hair done and one braid has come out. I will say that I believe the owner tries but her staff, on my head, couldn't care less. The owner didn't charge me because my experience was bad, not because of the style which I didn't realize until I got home how bad it was, I actually would have paid and been very upset so I'm glad I didn't pay but it was major waste of my time and that's way more valuable than the $200+ this would've cost me.

Shavon was great. I came in for a consultation and it was obvious that she was experienced and talented. She recommended what I should get after listening to my expressed needs and concerns. I told Shavon that I had an event that I wanted to be ready for and she rearranged her schedule to accommodate me. Very professional pre-installation experience. The actual installation was very well done. It wasn’t too tight nor too loose. She gave me a perfect long layered cut as a final flourish. After a week of wear and a wash, I’m still really pleased with my hair. I’ve already paid for future services and look forward to returning for my touch up. Service: Interlock braids with human hair.
