I met Janessa a few years ago when I moved to SC and I’m very picky about who I let do my hair since I have a ton of it. She was amazing. She did such beautiful balayage on my hair and kept it the length I wanted which was super important to me. On top of her being an awesome stylist she was so friendly and fun to get to know :)

Janessa is heaven sent. Not only does she keep my blonde icey, she keeps it healthy as well! She knows how to treat your hair to reduce split ends, hydration treatments and more. She saved me from some major breakage with how bleached and dried out my hair was before coming to her. Now I don’t have to worry so much!! I highly recommend her if you want a stylist who actually cares for their client and not just looking for the dollar sign. Best decision ever sitting in her chair!!

I came to Janessa as a senior in College at USC after another stylist posted about the salon. The time that was convenient for me matched me up with her and OH MY GOD it was fate. I had never had a "hair person" before, but after that first time with Janessa, I knew. Not only did she do my hair perfectly, I mean my-god-perfectly, she was also the most fun I had had with a stylist in God knows how long. She is bubbly, passionate and so caring. She is also hilarious. She will have you feeling like Bezos' net worth. She is that good. I have gone for her for years, even traveling to Columbia, SC after graduating and moving away just to get her services. She loves blondes, but can do wonders on any hair coloring - her Balayage is pure magic (even though I mainly go for highlighting). She is always exploring to do more, but even just the classics - you can put your trust in Janessa. I LOVE HER.

I came to Janessa when my hair was not where I wanted it. She took the time to have a thorough consultation, which I really appreciated. She not only gave me fabulous blonde highlights, the most relaxing head massage of my life but she corrected my cut without taking too much off. She is literally the only hairstylist that has ever cut and styled my hair perfectly! Her knowledge always blows me away. I have been to her several times and always recommend her to my friends and fellow army wives. I am a non-practicing licensed cosmetologist and I do a lot of research and consideration when it comes to who does my hair. She is an expert colorist and cared for my hair like it was her own! If im like anyone else I have hair trust issues! I don't trust anyone with my hair and have had some of the worst experiences with both cut and color. I have known Janessa since I was in middle school and have had the pleasure to reconnect since then. She does BEAUTIFUL work, she takes the time to get it right the first time and has bent over backwards to schedule me in and make time for me around my wedding date. Everything she touches turns to gold, platinum or frosty blonde ;) She makes her appointments fun and I drive over 2 hours one way just to have her work her magic! So thankful, highly recommend.

Janessa is THE BEST for blondes in the Columbia/Lexington/Irmo area! She is so skilled & will get you the results you desire without frying your hair off. I am finally able to look like my Pinterest board(yay!!!) and my hair is still super strong and shiny despite the bleaching. I wouldn't trust my hair with anyone else!

Janessa is a hair magician. I’ve been going to her for 2 years and she has transformed me over and over to every major shade. I could spend forever talking about how incredible and skilled she is at hair color but I want to mention something else. Janessa is deeply committed to the science of color and creating a natural result. Not every hairstylist can do this. It is a science and an art and she just gets it. Added to that she has taught me so much about caring for my hair outside of her chair. She introduced me to amazing products and they extended the life of my hair and restored it through damage that happened over time. I am convinced that she is the BEST colorist in Columbia and honestly the BEST I've ever seen. If you choose to go elsewhere and take a chance you just might want to visit her to fix what went wrong. Janessa is amazing and so sweet. The first time I went to her, we found that my hair doesn’t lift well. Instead of making me feel terrible that I didn’t know this, she spent the next hour making sure that I walked out loving my hair. I will never go to anyone else. Janessa started coloring my hair in 2018 after I moved to Lexington and she exceeds all my expectations every time I see her. Not only is she an amazing stylist, but she's become a great friend! Where to start. I’ve been with Janessa for three years now. She’s my go to. She’s balayage my hair, dyed my hair back brown and then fixed me again after the summer of lemon juice in my hair (don’t do it guys). She’s always great with my indecisiveness. I love the new space she has. More personable one on one. A nice private environment where my mouth can’t get me in trouble because it’s just us two. Oh and custom coffees!? Fancy.

Do it. Book the appointment. She is the BEST in the state. I’ve been seeing Janessa for my color for the last few years. I came to her with MASSIVE hair damage and was so scared I would have to cut it all off. She not only saved my hair, she has transformed it and restored it! My hair is ashy blonde and as healthy as could be. If you have been getting your hair blonded for any period of time, you know how hard it is to have ash light hair and have it still be healthy.
