I've been seeing Melody for so maybe 10 years now, since before she opened Gloss. I even saw her while I lived in Boston. She always does a great job on my cut and color, and the salon has a really chill, friendly, positive, familiar vibe. Great people. I highly recommend.

I will never get my hair done anywhere else! Katie is a master at both cut and color. I have a pixie cut which people tend to cut too short. She does a perfect job, starting with a dry cut and finishing after a fabulous wash and head massage. The first time she colored my hair, I was amazed! No one has ever done biolage color on my hair. I now know it’s the only way a short haircut should be colored. She’s also adorable and I love catching up with her every time I see her. I’d give more stars if they’d let me!

I had a wonderful first appointment with Lola at Gloss Brooklyn last week! My hair has become wavy/curly in recent years and I had no clue what kind of cut I wanted or how to style my hair. Lola talked to me about what I wanted and was open to and proposed a cut to help me achieve my goal to bring out my hair’s new texture. Lola also showed me how to style my hair with the new cut to bring out the waves and curl, which was so helpful!! I will be coming back for my next cut! Thank you, Lola! The salon overall was great! So nice when I called with a question and really easy to book an appointment online.

I swear I could describe a hair color and Lola would match it to a T. She's done my root touch ups and matched me perfectly to pictures I've shown her, she's done my ktips which both times made me feel like a mermaid and lasted 5 months, and she's done fashion color green (transformed from previous red). If you're looking for someone to do your color and/or extentions, she's your person.

My absolute favorite salon in NYC - finally I have found my hair stylist soulmate! I’ve been going here for years seeing Melody, and it’s truly like visiting a friend. She’s very experienced and does a wonderful job with both cut and color, and she’s a great conversationalist too. The salon is bright and beautiful and in such an awesome location - I love going because I get to walk around Industry city afterwards with awesome hair. I’d give this place 7 stars if I could!

What a cute little dream salon!!! I go there for my stylist Lola, who saves my life on a bi-monthly basis with exquisite root touch-ups, precision coloring, and incredible k-tip extension installs. She has the patience of a saint but the humor of a sinner and that’s why she’s the best. The salon is airy and clean and I look forward to going every single time.

Great salon, awesome vibe, good music and wonderful hair artists! Gina has been coloring my hair the last few Months and I am SOOO happy with her work. For the first time in a long time the blonde has no breakage and remains strong. She also suggested great products to upkeep the color, health and protection of my hair.

Unfortunately the haircut I got here was almost incomprehensibly bad :( I really try not to write bad reviews but I feel like I need to warn anyone to whom this would apply that if you have East Asian hair you should check in advance if your stylist has experience cutting/working with that kind of hair.

I love my haircut so much! I didn't have a super clear idea of what I wanted going in (it was a big chop) and Gina worked with me very patiently to figure out the perfect length and texture. It's a super lovely space that felt very welcoming. I have a lot of anxiety going to hair and nail salons and I felt completely at ease and comfortable as soon as I arrived. Highly recommend Gloss all around!

I went for the first time to get a full head balayage, and Crystal assisted me I showed her the picture of what I wanted to make sure she saw the same thing as me, she assured me that my hair would be perfect. At the end when she dried my hair it looked nothing like what I had shown her, regardless because it was lattice go back for I paid her, gave her a tip and she told me to go back for a Toner if I needed. 2 weeks later my hair looks orange so I contact the hair salon, and they never got back to me, I reached out 3 times at no avail, I wanted to love the place because I like close by and I often require hairstyles and other salon services but they were so unprofessional. Last but not least do not go to a salon you have never been to a day before your birthday, you don't want another Crystal ruining your hair.

I’ve received various services from Megan since 2014. Her attention to detail cannot be beat. She’s taken classes from world class organizations and has years of experience to back it up. Not only is she aesthetically conscious but also environmentally aware. You’ll also never be sitting awkwardly since she’s a great conversationalist with some southern hospitality warmth. Whatever you’re needing for your hair, Megan is the whole damn meal.
