Luann is absolutely amazing and everyone in her salon is absolutely amazing. She does an amazing job, and more importantly, she provides a warm and comfortable environment for everyone in the salon. If I could give Luann 1000 stars I would! Definitely recommend Going In Style salon. Wouldn't go anywhere else! She has done my hair for so many special occasions and milestones in my life including my wedding. Love going here!

I love Going In Style hair salon! It was my first time going, and everyone was very welcoming. I was nervous since I've had bad experiences at other hair salons, but when I entered, I got excited to see my hair results. I chose Marsida because I saw all the good reviews she had, and I'm so happy I chose her! She completely understood what I wanted and took her time with my hair. Due to postpartum, I had lost a lot of hair, but thanks to Marsida, my hair looks full of volume. I'm definitely returning again!!

I always leave feeling fresh with a smile on my face. Luann specifically has been cutting my hair and I have always been happy with my cuts, I typically never walk out a barbershop liking my haircuts but ever since I started going here, I have always loved them. You will not be disappointed & you will be treated well.

I got my hair cut by Marsida and I had an amazing experience with amazing results. She was very friendly and talked me through the whole process. Usually when I get a haircut they cut my hair too short and add in layers that I didn’t ask for but Marsida gave me what I asked for and delivered it perfectly!!! On top of that the whole staff was amazing and assisted me as soon as I walked in. I will definitely be coming back.

I wanted to leave a review for Marsi— she is a master colorist! I’ve come here a few times and she’s fixed uneven spots in my hair, she always gets the color perfectly on point, and her blow outs are incredible! I found this salon on a whim but I’m really glad I did, they make booking so easy and they’re super efficient with your time, the salon is always very clean and all the staff are so sweet. I highly recommend coming here and going to Marsi for your color, she nails it every time.

Luann is such a special person! She is kind and patient and listens to exactly what I want with my hair. I get my wavy/curly hair cut into a short bob and it always turns out great. Plus she is such a wonderful person to chat with!!

A visit to Going In Style Salon is always enjoyable. The lovely staff are welcoming and helpful and the care and attention they give everyone who comes in is professional and warm. No matter what language a client speaks...there is a stylist who can communicate with them easily. The stylists are skilled at making clients look their best and the atmosphere they have created is a much-needed respite.

First time visiting this hair salon. I had the most wonderful experience. Everything is just is top-notch, but the same time everyone is treated like family. Luanne did an amazing job with my hair while other stylists were doing their own wonder with their client. This is my salon from now on, and I am looking forward to my next visit.

I LOVE THIS PLACE. Been coming here since i was 6 years old with my mom. I absolutely love Luanne, Celest, grace, Marsida. Marsida is my girl who blows out my hair and this girl Is GREAT. She’ll do anything i want and it always comes out PERFECT!!!. She’ll be honest with me and always let mw know what i need. My hair has grown tremendously working with marsida She’ll never fail to do a beautiful blowout, amazing guy or trim. Not once after this many years have i ever been disappointed and never haven’t gotten what i wanted. Luanne is the best boss anyone could ask for she’s great. Always have a beautiful comftoable experience here and my hair is always turning out beautful ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I have been coming to Going In Style for years and there is never time when I am not happy. Luanne and all of her staff are amazing. Going in style hair salon.... I can't begin to explain how pleased I am with the service and the knowledge that these cosmetologists have. Communication is key they let you take the time to explain exactly what you want... In return I got exactly what I wanted. Each and every stylist has years of experience you can just tell. I love this salon is like a big family so warm and welcoming. I felt so comfortable. I will be in the salon for the rest of my life..... There is no reason to go anywhere else!

I visited this salon based on a recommendation, and since it was my first time dyeing my hair, I was a bit nervous at first. I wanted a brown shade, so I asked the hairstylist for help in choosing the right color. She was incredibly friendly and helped me pick the perfect one! As a Hijabi, she made sure I felt comfortable by taking me to a private room. She even styled my hair afterward, adding beautiful waves with a blow dryer. I absolutely loved the experience! Her name is Marcida, and I highly recommend booking her—she’s the best!

Affordable - Accommodates hijabis and niqabis - Unmatched service - Experienced hair stylist LuAnn gave me the most beautiful haircut I have ever had in my entire life. I’ve never left a salon chair without feeling an smidge of grief about my haircut—until today. What a priceless feeling. Thank you for helping me feel like myself again! I trekked all the way from Manhattan and will happily do it again, God willing. If you have curly hair and are looking for layers and/or curtain bangs, I highly recommend.

Been going here for over a year now (and I get my short hair cut about once a month). Luann has been running this place for many years with even more experience as a hairdresser. Even if she's booked, however, you can't go wrong with any stylist there. Their clientele is as diverse as Bay Ridge itself, and the love they show to clients, especially the regulars, is so sweet to see. They cut my hair even when I was late to my end-of-day appointment due to work. They cut the hair of women from certain religions in a special room to respect their modesty. I've seen them cut the hair of a woman who didn't speak English (or any of the other languages of the stylists). Just tell Luann what you need - cut, color, product, wig, etc. - and she will do her utmost to make it happen!

I just want to thank all the stylists at going in style. The atmosphere is always very warm and inviting. Everyone is very accommodating and will go to great lengths to make sure you feel and look amazing. These talented artists are extremely professional, honest and well trained. If you’re looking for a new salon or just want to experience what all the hype is about I would definitely recommend trying them out.

My son in law raved about Going in Style so I made an appointment with Grace who I must tell you gave me the best haircut I ever had and was exactly what I wanted! Grace also showed me the secret to easily styling my curly hair. I am over the moon. I highly recommend Going in Style and make sure you ask for Grace! She’s the best!
