I was searching for a salon that truly values customer service and provides an amazing experience—well, I believe I’ve finally found the perfect place! From the moment I arrived (even after accidentally going to the wrong location), the front desk manager was incredibly kind and understanding, making me feel welcome rather than like a burden. Milena was my stylist, and she was absolutely fantastic! She took her time, gave me an incredible cut, and made sure I felt completely cared for throughout the entire experience. Even the shampoo assistant did a wonderful job. The salon itself is beautifully decorated with a sleek Eastern European vibe, adding to the overall ambiance. I couldn’t be happier with my experience and will definitely be returning. Highly recommend Gold Coast Salon!

I recently had an incredible experience with Ina at the Gold Coast Salon, and I can't recommend her enough! From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the gorgeous ambiance of the salon, which perfectly complements the luxurious products they use. Ina is such a lovely person—her warm personality made me feel immediately at ease. I came in with brassy, copper color highlights that just didn’t blend well, and my dream was to achieve a beautiful, neutral blonde. Ina took her time to understand my vision and painstakingly highlighted the right pieces. Her expertise truly shone through as she expertly toned and rooted my hair, followed by an amazing haircut that brought it all together. The transformation was nothing short of miraculous! My hair hasn’t looked this good in 15 years, and I absolutely love the results. I’m officially a loyal client now, and I can’t wait for my next appointment with Ina. If you’re looking for a talented hairstylist who genuinely cares about her clients, look no further!

Tetiana is the best! She gave me an amazing wash, cut, and blowout - all while giving me tips and tricks for styling at home. The salon is gorgeous and welcoming as well.

I’m extremely disappointed with the unprofessional behavior of this salon. My hairstylist left the salon , and since then, I have been contacted to continue using their services despite clearly stating I am no longer interested. The constant calls feel invasive and desperate, especially since the stylist I trusted and built a relationship with is no longer there. A good salon respects its clients’ choices rather than pressuring them with unwanted follow-ups. If you value privacy and a professional experience, I would recommend looking elsewhere. Very poor customer service!

I can't say enough good things about Gold Coast Salon and my stylist, Milena. From the moment I walk in, I feel welcomed and taken care of. The salon has a warm, inviting atmosphere, and the team goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable. Milena is an absolute expert when it comes to hair highlighting. She takes the time to listen to what I want, offer thoughtful suggestions, and explain the entire process to make sure we were on the same page. The result are always stunning! The highlights are perfectly blended, natural-looking, and exactly what I had envisioned. What really sets Milena apart is her attention to detail and passion for her craft. You can tell she genuinely cares about making her clients feel confident and beautiful. I’ve received so many compliments on my hair since my visit, and I’m already looking forward to my next appointment.

I had a fantastic experience at the Golden Coast Salon! My appointment with Milena was wonderful - she guided me through everything from A-Z, explaining the costs and giving honest recommendations. She created a beautiful balayage for me and I’m absolutely thrilled with the results. I also had lovely conversations with her and the other ladies in the salon. I’ll definitely book another appointment next time I’m in Chicago! ;)

Ina is a fabulous hair stylist. She is terrific with color, cut, and keratin. The vibe at the Salon is very welcoming and everyone is great. I have received many compliments on my hairstyle and it took me years to find the right stylist for my hair. I have found it at Gold Coast Salon.

This is such a wonderful salon!! I have seen a few different stylists and everyone, including the front desk, is always so incredibly kind, friendly, engaging, helpful, conscientious, and meticulous in their work. They are a great place for hair extensions, hair transformations, haircuts, color maintenance, color corrections, blow outs, or special occasion hair. I highly recommend seeing them for all of your hair needs. You won’t be disappointed!!

Amanda is such a talented hair artist. yes I say artist because when you’re in her chair you immediately know how much she cares for her craft. Her passion for what she does ensures her clients never leave the salon feeling anything less than the best version of themselves. I have been going to her for nearly a year for color, cut and extensions and can confidently say I’ll never let anyone else touch my hair besides Amanda. Her techniques and attention to detail always shine through the final result. I cannot recommend her enough!

I found Ashlee in November 2023 when my blonde hair was in dire need of help with color and extensions. Ashlee helped me determine what extensions were best for my goals and hair - we decided on both hand tie wefts and some K tips. My blonde color never looked so bright. Friends have said that this is the best my hair has looked in years. Thank you for continuing to take such good care of my hair, Ashlee!

I was looking for a new hairstylist in the city, and I came across Milena. I liked that she is experienced with blonde hair. She did an excellent job and made me feel heard with what I wanted to look like. She is very attentive, kind, and sincere. We also bonded over Bulgarian culture and traditions. I couldn’t recommend her enough! She is down to earth and an excellent hair professional!

I booked a partial balayage and haircut with Milenna and she did absolutely amazing! As someone who is brand new to coloring my hair and the Chicago area, I was nervous trying something new. Update: The business owner reached out to me and we set an appointment to discuss my hair. She listened to my complaints and offered me a free treatment to tame the frizz my hair has become while we wait for it to grow out. Extremely professional and really kind woman and I will go back to see her. Original: I got my hair cut here a few months ago and when I left I thought it wasn't too bad. The blowout she gave me was terrible (looked like a helmet on my head) but overall the experience was fine. When I got there I mentioned how my hair is very thin and breaking a bunch, my ends were completely split and dry. We talked at length about my needs and now I feel like she must not have been listening to me at all. I specifically said I wanted no short layering, I want my hair to feel like one long flow from top to ends. As I was sitting in the chair, she texturized my hair a bunch and I remember thinking it was weird. But I'm not the kind of person to tell someone how to do their job and because I gave her such detail about my needs, I trusted her. But now, I have dead ends ALL throughout my hair and it's HORRIBLE. I don't know how my hair is going to recover from this and I'm so upset.

Amanda has completely transformed my hair, she is amazing! Before finding her, I had so much issues with my extensions (beads slipping, corners coming unattached, excessive hair shedding etc) and almost gave up on extensions entirely because I thought my hair was too fine. Not the case since finding Amanda! My hair is the healthiest it’s ever been and I have had zero issues with my 22in extensions. She also does an amazing job with coloring my hair (blonde) and I’ve never been happier with my hair!

I cannot recommend this place enough! Ina is a literal miracle worker for blondes. I never was fully happy with my salon results until I began coming here -- I leave Gold Coast Salon obsessed with the finished product every time and always receive a ton of compliments on my hair directly after! I cannot say enough great things about Gold Coast Salon! Milena was incredible--a true hair miracle worker! It had been a long time since my last cut and style, and my hair needed a lot of love. Milena was so friendly and attentive, and has a wealth of experience cutting and styling hair. She was mindful of asking me about the length as she cut my hair, making sure to keep it at a length I would be happy with, and asked me questions along the way about using various products in my hair, which I really appreciated! Sometimes stylists just go at it without asking, and Milena was sure to ask if I was comfortable every step of the way. Milena cut my hair, blew it dry, and styled it for me, and my hair has never looked so good and so healthy! Furthermore, the vibe of Gold Coast Salon is wonderful--a neighborhood gem! Everyone I spoke to at the salon from the owner to the stylists to the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly! They took photos of my new cut and style for me, which I really appreciated, and offered advice about future cuts and styles. In addition to my haircuts, I also worked with the Gold Coast Salon for my wedding hair and makeup trial and day-of services. We had the most perfect and magical day! All of my ladies and I just adored Milena, Amanda, Ashlee, and Sobrino! Not only was everyone thrilled with their hair and makeup (everyone kept saying that was the best they’ve ever looked and felt), but the positive energy and happy vibes that we all shared was the perfect way to kick off our big day! Everyone had so much fun and the morning was filled with laughter and smiles. 5 stars!

I recently had my hair cut and styled by Amanda at Gold Coast Salon, and it was amazing! I have VERY thick and long hair, which many hair stylists are often intimidated by, but Amanda welcomed the challenge of working with my hair, and she did a fantastic job! I didn't give her any directions; I just trusted her expertise, and the result was fantastic! I highly recommend Amanda if you're looking for a fabulous cut, hair styling or makeup!

We had Gold Coast come to our hotel to do hair and make-up for the key women in my daughter’s wedding. They were punctual, had all their equipment ready to go on time. They were lovely, professional, great listeners and the result was that we all looked like movie-star versions of ourselves. A complete success across-the-board!!! Thank you Nataliia, Ina and team!!!
