She is truly the best in her field—spectacularly knowledgeable, deeply caring, and wonderfully personable. From the moment you walk in, you can feel her kind and calming presence. Her facials are absolutely incredible! She takes her time to curate a personalized experience tailored to your specific skin needs. Every detail is thoughtfully considered, and her expertise shines through in every step of the process. The facials are not only effective but also incredibly luxurious and relaxing—it’s like a mini-vacation for your skin and your soul! I have been seeing Val for over a year now and she is truly the best esthetician I have ever seen, and I have seen MANY. I began seeing her when my hormonal acne was getting out of control, and she helped me so much. Now every time I get a facial from Val, for weeks I get compliments on my skin, with people even telling me I have the most beautiful skin they have ever seen (and before I met Val this was not the case). Most recently, I have been visiting family for the Holidays and have been breaking out due to many factors (dry climate, eating changes/sugar, etc). Val has been beyond helpful to me, even offering to ship me an acne fighting face mask! Words can't express my gratitude towards her. I love this place so much 😭 I just moved here from LA/San Diego and was desperate for a spot that carried Face Reality skin care specifically as I have THE most sensitive damn skin and struggle with perioral dermatitis along with new hormonal changes due to coming off BC for the first time in 15 years. Alyssa gave me a fantastic calming facial, and I was up to try a sample of a detox mask to see how my skin would react a few days later, and unfortunately it caused my PD to flare a bit (which is not their fault whatsoever, my skin is insane lol) and the owner Val offered to help calm my skin back down. They’re extremely kind and care SO much about their clients and I feel like I am in really good hands. I’m scheduled to see Morgan next as she’s their acne / PD specialist and will help me create a recovery plan for if I have a flare up and to address my skin changes as my hormones react to no BC. Highly highly suggest this business!!!

I had never had a lash lift before but came here and had THE BEST experience. Katlyn made me feel so safe and welcome (I literally fell asleep on the table). She also spent a lot of time consulting me and letting me in on what was being done to my lashes and how to take are of them after the service. I'm two days in now and her advice has done wonders -- love my lashes so much!

Recently moved from NYC and was recommended Golden Hour from a good friend of mine as I’ve been on the hunt for all my new local favorites. Safe to say I found my facialist and my skincare haven. Valerie is truly an earth angel with deep knowledge and care in her craft. I came in for a customized facial and left feeling like my skin took a big gulp of water, incredibly soft and glowy (even after extractions). She listened to all my concerns and shared her wealth of knowledge from supplements to skincare swaps and add-ons to better suit my skin. She is incredible and the space made me feel so warm and welcomed. If you find this spot, you’re in luck. HIGHLY recommend

I had such an incredible experience here! I felt so taken care of and had a facial so fantastic I didn’t even know you could get a facial that good! Val was super knowledgeable and personable. She taught me how to manage my sensitive skin on a daily basis and I left feeling like total royalty! I will certainly be coming back here. Oh and I don’t want to fail to mention how much better my brows and lashes look too! All around my experience couldn’t have been better. Thank you Val!!

Wow, where do I begin! Golden Hour Skincare has given me the best facial I’ve ever had in Austin, and possibly ever—and I’m a regular facial enthusiast. I booked a 75-minute customized facial with a brow tint and wax with Alyssa, and from the moment I sat down, I knew I was in great hands. Alyssa took the time to discuss all my skin concerns, asked about my facial preferences, and explained her plan for the session. She gave me the option to either relax quietly or be walked through each step, and I chose the latter. I’m so glad I did because her knowledge was impressive! The facial was perfectly tailored to my skin needs, and the massage element was incredibly relaxing. Alyssa's intentional and thorough massage included my upper back, shoulders, neck, arms, and hands, making the experience feel holistic and rejuvenating. The hot towel and LED light treatment added an extra layer of relaxation. Even after the facial, Alyssa didn’t rush the process. She finished with a moisturizer and lip balm, then gave me a soothing scalp massage, and gently helped me transition back to reality with a warm towel on my back. She answered all my questions and set up a game plan for my next appointment. Having tried many places in Austin, Golden Hour Skincare has blown all others out of the water. I’m sure everyone there is fabulous, but if you get a chance, see Alyssa—she’ll make your skin look amazing! Plus, I left with tons of free samples and never felt pressured to buy products. Their personalized care truly stands out.

I’ve been here twice and both times have exceeded my expectations. I felt like a pampered, newborn baby after my facial. I worked with Morgan, she was very kind and knowledgeable. The environment is very relaxing. Also, the products they use are some of the best! I will definitely be back!

I’ve been to my fair of aestheticians and dermatologists and have tried all different types of skincare (prescribed, trends, and good ole trial & error) and I’m so happy to have found my holy grail. I’ve mainly suffered from hormonal acne and closed comedones but nothing too crazy but after I stopped BC it got pretty bad. Don’t get me wrong, I was super hesitant to try the acne bootcamp even after seeing great results from a general one from Morgan because we live in an age where companies try and prey on our insecurities and produce blanket treatments but her and Valerie took the time to go over all my then skincare routine/products (like I literally brought it all in for them to look at) and point out what was and wasn’t working and even as someone who is well-informed on her skin,and was still hesitant, the time they took and just the simple observation whatever I was currently doing wasn’t working, pushed me to take a chance and pivot 100% to the Face Reality line and it has 100% paid off. First photo is from Nov.2023 and the last photo from today. I get the occasional pimple (mainly after my facial which is standard anywhere) but the hormonal breakouts have stopped almost completely (to the point I no longer needed my spironolactone) and the discoloration has drastically lightened. Don’t get me wrong it is an investment switching fully to the FR line (est. $200 for all products needed in your routine) and the biweekly treatments (I’ve gotten to the point of spacing it out 3-4 weeks between treatments now!) but I can’t describe how much it’s worth it and more cost effective/quicker than anything else. Yeah sure everyone and their mom will say Tretinoin or Accutane but I’m telling you it’s not worth it but Golden Hour Skincare is!

The space itself feels so calming. I felt relaxed right away. The Treatment Room was dark and the bed was soooo comfortable! It was overall a very relaxing experience. I had the 75 min customised facial with Sarah. Sarah is such a lovely person! I really felt comfortable with her. My skin is glowing and so clean. Thank you so so much Sarah! I really recommend her.

This place has helped improve my overall quality of life. Before finding Golden Hour, I felt very lost and alone trying to heal my acne-prone skin. The girls here truly care about your skin evolution and will do whatever it takes to make sure you experience improvement.
