It was my first time visiting & I had such a wonderful experience with Anila & Joanna. Anila restored my hair with a gorgeous hair cut and blow out. So happy to have found these ladies. I will def be back with friends & family.

DO NOT go here for hair coloring or anything to do with coloring..I brought my gf here for coloring and they messed up on the color twice and double charged me for it..absolutely stupid..i would give 0 stars if I could and wish I didn't have to pay $300 for this mess.. she wanted to keep her black hair and she ended up with light brown and blonde hair. I Will NEVER EVER go here again!!

Great hair cuts! Every time! Anila is committed to her business. They work you in even when they're tightly scheduled. I've been coming here for over 10 years and now my kids come along too. **Short walk from the Irving Park brown line stop.

I came in with almost un fixable hair after an at home bleach. Not only was she fast, but she was very thorough. I wasn’t expecting to walk out with exactly what i wanted (especially in the state my hair was when i walked in). she took my appointment within the hour. everyone was so nice and fun to talk to !! the price was a little more than expected but much better than most places. they gave me great care advice. i’m definitely going to keep coming back here !! no more at home hair projects lol

I have been here about 6 times now for color and some cuts. They are great at getting me in last minute which is important for me because I have a pretty crazy schedule. Very nice ladies and they do a great job! Woman-owned business and locally owned which is also a big plus for me! Highly recommend!!!

I love coming to Golden Sheers. Anila is wonderful and does a great job with my very curly and complicated hair. The atmosphere is always inviting and filled with a personal touch. The owner and her daughter are genuinely nice and keen to get to know their clients. What truly sets this salon apart is its commitment to creating a community feel. This salon is a neighborhood gem.

I got highlights here and immediately after had to get my highlights fixed from another salon!! The stylist said as if it was someone’s first time doing hair!!!! Do not come here!!! Stay far away from here !!!!!!!

I have a terrible experience and will never go back there. I asked for certain length on my hair, the lady literally just grabbed my ponytail and cut it off. My hair got so short, that wasn't enough she was doing layers on my hair, even though I specifically told her not to. When I told her that my hair is too short, she said oh no worries, its like new you. Very annoying and unprofessional. At the end she charged me $50 even though the price is $40. Overall terrible experience, never going back there and would not recommend it to anyone.

Went there for a haircut little trimming and the lady cut my hair so short that it is messed up now and I have to wear fake hair I am very disappointed and and writing this review to show everyone to not go here I recommend you go somewhere else this is a horrible Place zero Stars do not go here this lady should be fired super unprofessional she did not listen or care one bit I really would like a refund if there is anyone out there listening that works for this company

A did wonders for my DIY hair color. It came out way better than I could've ever hoped for. Sitting in the chair for 5 hours was fine because she’s great to chat with! Prices were great. I will absolutely continue to come here for hair services and would recommend anyone else to do the same.

Ever since I moved to Chicago I wasn’t able to find a good hair salon. Then I found Golden Shears and it is so amazing! I really liked how she exactly understood my style. Since I live in the Suburbs now it’s hard to get a haircut in the city but I’m still gonna make a trip down to get my haircut again, because it’s so worth it.

The haircut looked great but it was the most disgusting salon I've ever been to. It looks nice on the surface but when it came time to use clippers on the back of my neck, they grabbed the clippers from the last person who'd used them and didn't sanitize AT ALL. There was still hair in the clippers from the last person. I noticed that other hair styling tools around the salon were left in similar condition.
