Golden Soul Salon is such a vibe! From the moment you walk in, you feel so welcomed-the space is beautiful, cozy, and has the best energy. It's a true safe space where you can relax and know you're in great hands. The whole team is insanely talented, and you leave not just looking amazing, but feeling amazing too. Highly recommend! I got my hair done with Nicole, she is seriously the best! She absolutely killed it with my pink and purple hair, It's even better than I imagined. She always listens, gives the best advice, and makes the whole experience so fun. If you're thinking about doing something bold, she's 100% the one to trust. I'm OBSESSED. 10000000/10 recommend.

My third haircut here this year and I'm finally posting. This salon is so cozy and intentional. I got an amazing haircut that really fits my lifestyle / habits / skill level. They really listen to you and adjust based off what you say, but also willing to offer opinion or advice. I got a darker gloss this last time and WOW I never knew I could love my hair this much. Oh they also use Davines products which I love and can be hard to find in stores.

Kendi is my girl! I never gotten highlights before but I absolutely love the final result of my hair. We even tweaked somethings during our second session to even customize it further and its all thanks to kendis attention to detail. I also love the conversations we have in the chair. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a change.

I have been a client at Golden Soul for over a year now. Every stylist is insanely talented and the environment is so calming! Everyone is so excited to see you & care for you as soon as you walk in. That zen wash room? A DREAM. Kendi is MY GIRL! I originally went to her for a color correction and she CHANGED MY LIFE! My hair has never been thicker, healthier, longer than now. She is so knowledgeable and cares about the integrity of your hair. My heart is with yall!!! <333

If you want to get your hair done in a salon that feels like a breath of fresh air look no further. I have been to several hair salons where I feel overstimulated, the service feels rushed and I don’t feel cared for but I have to say it was the complete opposite. I scheduled my appointment with Rachel and she did amazing and took great care of my hair. The last thing I will say (I saved the best for last), I absolutely love getting my hair washed and my experience with Rachel changed my life lol. So amazing!! 💗

Kendi is pure magic! She’s been doing my hair for 7 years now and I refuse to have anyone else color my hair. As a latina having thick healthy hair is essential and she has always been able to keep my hair that way, even though my hair is bleached. My curls look their best right after we color my hair and it lasts me so long that we only do it twice a year.

Hannah is the BEST!!! She is so incredibly talented! She's taken my hair from pink, to red to chestnut brown, and she styled my hair for my elopement, she never misses!!! I've never trusted a hairstylist more :) Truly could not be more grateful to have found her and Golden Soul since moving to Austin. I love the energy in the salon. Everyone is so friendly!!!

Update as of 2024: Still in love with Golden Soul salon! I have continued coming to Golden Soul for haircuts. The hairstylist I used to see is no longer there, but I most recently had a haircut with Paulina Riewald and she was amazing! My haircut turned out exactly how I wanted and she was very attuned to my requests on length/style etc. I will definitely be recommending Paulina to my friends and anyone else-she’s excellent!! Golden Soul in general continues to be a beautiful, calming place-every time I go it feels like the ultimate self-care day! I just kind of stumbled upon Golden Soul because it’s close to where I live..and got so lucky! Golden Soul is the best! Literally felt like I was in a spa as soon as I walked in. My stylist was Kristy Jalbert-she’s amazing-super kind, professional and talented-definitely knows her craft very well! It’s been like 3-4 months since my haircut and I’m still obsessed with it. I am recommending her and Golden Soul in general to everyone now. It’s also very reasonably priced, especially compared to other places in Austin.

I had the pleasure of getting my hair cut and permed by Nicole and my hair looked so good it got me laid later. 100/10 recommend. As for the service itself, Nicole took the time to explain to me what she was doing and made me feel very comfortable. When she was styling my hair she also talked me through how to best style it which is usually what I’ve felt was lacking at other salons. She was friendly and really listened to what I wanted and made recommendations based on her years of experience to find something that best suits me and my hair. I’ve never been to a salon where every single person that worked there was really friendly and where I felt educated and wasn’t intimidated. Thank you so much!!

Rachel, the stylist, was super attentive, caring, and suggested several options for my hair color and style. The stylist give an award winning shampoo in a spa designed room. The salon embraces an environmentally friendly atmosphere. Definitely a five star experience!

Kendi at Golden Soul Salon is my GO TO for hair braiding in Austin! Not only is she super talented but also extremely kind and friendly. I always get so many compliments on my braids, and the styles last a week (or more!) when I go to camping music festivals! I highly recommend seeing Kendi!

This place is cute and clean. Their wash room (where they they wash your hair) is super zen and dark and I absolutely love it. But the stylist Kendi, is AMAZING. She really knows what she is doing. Plus she is latina and so friendly and cool. 10/10!!!!!

Malorie, my stylist, recently permanently moved her services to the Golden Soul Salon from East Texas. Her description of the salon did not do it justice. It is an open space, with lots of ambient light and positive sayings on each stylist's mirror. The room where hair washes are conducted is a true spa experience. It made my soul happy to be there and I look forward to my next visit.

10/10 for Kendi Villa. Kendi has been my stylist for almost 3 years now. She is very attentive, knowledgeable, and has her clients’ best interests at heart. She truly just wants each of her clients to look and feel their best. Even as a regular client, at the start of each appointment, she sits down with me to go over what we’re doing that day, and we discuss my overall hair goals and progress. She is extremely well-versed in blonding (which is huge for me) and vivid colors (temporary, semi-permanent, etc.) as well. She understands the science behind it all and she will take the time to explain it to you in a way you can understand. She is also very open about her recommendations and will give you honest opinions/advice, which I appreciate. Beyond all of her professional qualities as a hairstylist, she is a sweetheart. I'm grateful to have a stylist I trust and can depend on; I cannot recommend her more. You will walk out of your appointment feeling refreshed, like a pampered and improved you! The overall salon experience: I have always liked the vibe of Golden Soul - everyone is super sweet and accommodating, and the salon vibe is chic and relaxed, but professional. I've enjoyed everyone I've met there!

I absolutely love this salon and especially my hair stylist, Kendi. I originally went to her about a year and a half ago for a color correction. She not only fixed my color with a beautiful balayage but, exceeded my expectations. I have been going to her ever since and she never disappoints! I love how knowledgeable she is about her work and find her tips and recommendations so helpful. As someone who has always struggled with taking good care of my hair, I’m so glad I found Kendi. She’s the best!!

The salon itself is lovely, with a positive vibe that can be felt upon entering. Nicole, the owner, did an amazing job with my Keratin treatment. She is super patient and took the time to truly listen to my thoughts and concerns. The results were fantastic. Definitely recommend!

I arrived in Austin for a vacation and my daughter met me at the airport and asked what had happened to my hair. I had had it cut a few days before my trip. It was a really bad cut. My daughter made an appt with Rachel who patiently studied the cut and then recut it. It was fantastic! Rachel made it look great! If I lived in Austin she would be my new stylist.
