Very poor quality job performed on both my mani/pedi which is unfortunate given how many of my friends talk highly of this spot. My nails were not cut properly with the entire processed rushed with no attention to detail. The clear polish was applied so poorly my nails look worse than when I walked in. When I got home I had to trim my nails and fix the polish to make them look somewhat presentable. I will say minus the individual working on my nails the staff was very friendly.

Been going for over ten years and recommend to everyone. Even when I moved to Williamsburg, would take the train because it’s worth it. They always do amazing job! I’ve never waited ever, always clean, free massages are always offered while getting your manicure and they also have a points card. Also if you need cash, they have an atm that has the lowest service fee I’ve ever seen on atm.

Best nail salon in the area! An amazing staff that treat you with so much care. Manicures and pedicures are always perfect and last a long time. As an extra bonus they provide you with a free massage while you get your nails done. I’ve been coming to golden tree for 7 years and wouldn’t go anywhere else! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quality nail salon in the east village/gramercy area!

Golden Tree is great - it is a quick, reliable, and a clean salon with lots of good polish options. I go for powder or gel manicures, and regular pedicures (the standard pedicure doesn't include a massage so I will typically add that on). Dip manicures last anywhere from 3-4 weeks - Kelly does a great job. If you're going at a busy time, make an appointment or plan to wait a bit (in general, I try to go during less busy times).

I’ve been going to Golden Tree for the past 10 years! My experience has always been WONDERFUL. I live a few blocks away so it’s really convenient for me. I’ve always left happy and very satisfied. I love going with Ashley who is thorough and super friendly, and have also seen Vivian, Lisa, Kelly, among many others. The massage ladies are amazing, too! The place is very clean- I remember one time quite a few years ago- when I was still finishing doing my mani/pedi and they began their night cleaning, I was in awe to see how much effort they put in leaving the place spotless! I would 100% recommend Golden Tree to anyone looking for the best mani/pedi in the area and having some good time for themselves.

This is the best nail salon in NYC! They give you free massages when you get your nails done and are quick as well as professional. Beautiful job! Have been going here 5 years and highly recommend!!

Hit and miss on technicians; I’ve had manicures that looked beautiful after 3+ weeks and were absolutely worth the price. Most recently I had a terrible experience with a rushed service, pain with the gel removal, and different nail shapes on each finger. Wouldn’t rush back like I have in the past, but if you’re in the area it’s probably going to be sufficient (assuming you speak up) Despite its convenient location I no longer believe it’s a decent place to go. I would rather walk further/pay more than get a manicure/pedicure that’s worse than what I can do at home. The last straw for me was not asking me what shape I would like for my nails before cutting every nail off (especially when I said to keep the length) and then breaking my twenty into 2 tens to ensure a higher tip.

I’m a ‘same salon, same person every time’ person. I’ve been going to Golden Tree for 2 years and have always had a lovely experience. Lisa is wonderful and patiently deals with how particular I am about my nails (unfortunately for her I am super particular). My nails always look amazing & I will never go anywhere else as long as I live in nyc

The best of the best. I have been coming to Golden Tree for almost 10 years now! Everyone is spectacular! I currently see Ashley and she is hands down 100! She’s efficient, so lovely and kind and puts up with how particular I am about my nails!! She’s a star:) Also Kelly is one of the bests. Ashley and Kelly 10 out of 10 recommend. Worth calling for the appointment;) I swear swear by them. I have lived in BK, UWS in the past and traveled for them.

Too expensive for basic service. Very un special atmosphere and the staff pushes you to buy more/upgrade everything. It was not relaxing at all. I would avoid.

My go to nail salon in the neighborhood. I have been going to this salon since I moved into NYC five years ago. They always accommodate me, the services are always professional and done well. Highly recommend for a solid mani/pedi.

Hit or miss. My most recent experience cost me 130 dollars for uneven finger nails and toes being chipped after a day. I called to complain and I’m hoping something can be done about it. What bothered me the most was the technician getting upset with me while I tried to speak up about my nail shape. For that amount of money I was expecting to get something at least decent

My all time favorite place!! Ashley always does the best SNS nails and they stay on ff or weeks without breaking. Everyone at the salon is very sweet, friendly and they give amazing massages during your manicure. I always feel relaxed and well taken care off. Thank you so much!

Never ever will I go there again. Possible that there are some good staff there but I had bad expierence. Went to the place because of good price, must admit that. The women that was working with my pedi och mani was quite unpleasent, spoke on the phone basically the whole time. My cuticles are butchered and second layer of polish sloppy painted on and didn't even covered whole nail area. Hope that other women in stuff are better that the one that did mine mani and pedi. Regret to step inside of the salon :(

Tl;dr - During my visit today, Golden Tree Nails & Spa accepted far more clients than they had the capacity to serve, resulting in a miserable, 2+ long experience during which I ended up leaving before I was even able to get the manicure that I came for. Don't take on more clients if you don't have the technicians to serve the ones that are already sitting there, waiting. Will never go back here. Full experience & review: I have gotten my nails done hundreds of times in NYC, so I know the drill & have fair expectations. I'm not exaggerating in saying that my experience today at Golden Tree was the worst I've seen in NYC to-date. My friend and I selected Golden Tree for manis & pedis for my friend's 'wedding nails,' in advance of her wedding in a few days - a momentous appointment that we were so, so looking forward to. We called ahead and they confirmed they could seat us both together & get started at 2:15. We also explained that it would be in preparation for a celebration (her wedding), so we would appreciate being seated together. We arrived right before 2:15, and they seated us in side-by-side pedicure chairs ... and, we sat ... and sat ... for half an hour. Finally, 30 minutes later, a technician started on my friend's pedicure. I sat there for 15-20 more minutes before a technician started on mine. My friend was finished before me, so they took her over to the manicure station and started her manicure. No attention was paid to ensuring that my friend and I were seated next to each other, so another woman was seated next to my friend in the meantime. By the time my pedicure was finished, I was taken to the very end of the manicure line, where there was an open seat. Then, once again, I sat...and sat...and, about 20 minutes later, by the time my friend was halfway through her manicure, a technician came over to check on my polish removal. Once again, I sat there, totally unattended for another 15-20 minutes, until a technician came over to check on me and actually finish the polish removal, so I could even START the manicure. By this point, we were getting close to two hours at the salon, and my friend was almost done with her manicure, so I calmly explained that I would be leaving after the polish was fully removed. The technician then offered to simply 'rush' my manicure - which I was not at all interested in doing. Meanwhile, my friend was 90% of the way through her manicure when her technician got up and left her sitting there, fully unattended and with no explanation or apology, for 15-20 minutes. My friend was standing at the counter by the time I was able to get up and pay for the pedicure and polish removal. While we both paid, the service we received was absolutely abysmal, so we tried to just leave and put the experience behind us ... when a different technician followed us to the door, harassing us for a tip and not letting us leave. This felt incredibly inappropriate given the experience we had, and my friend was on the verge of tears, as an appointment that was supposed to have been relaxing, happy, and exciting had turned into a stressful mess. Golden Tree, please do better by your clients - our experience today was unacceptable. Hopefully others after us have a much better experience than we did.
