I booked them for an early bird hair and makeup. In and out in an hour and a half, and I looked amazing. My makeup lasted all day, and my hair kept its style for 3 days! They were so kind and professional. Highly recommend Kimberly for makeup! She is a genius.

I am in Chicago for a friend’s wedding and booked the Celebrity Makeup option since I wanted lashes and a Smokey eye look. Booking the appointment was easy (I called to ensure I got all my questions addressed), and my stylist was fabulous. Having a photo of what you’d like is always preferred, but she was so kind to continue building on my look and adjusting as I wanted. If I return to Chicago, I’ll definitely come here for makeup. Thanks!

I booked my hair and makeup here for my wedding + 2 bridesmaids and my mother. Pre-appointment communication was great, and the hair and makeup trial was helpful. They made sure to note any adjustments and even looked at how the final trial look photographed for additional adjustments as well! I definitely felt like they took extra care to make sure everything was optimized! On the big day, we all had a great time getting ready at the River North location! We were grateful all the stylists took the time to understand the looks we wanted and were willing to talk us through different options as well. Everyone felt beautiful with the end results!

I always have a great experience at GoldPlaited. Everyone is kind. The atmosphere is relaxing. They take direction great and really follow through with what I’m asking for. Love having this salon for events and even just for a fun night out!

Flew into Chicago for the 1st time for a bridal shower for soon to be daughter-in-law. I wanted to find somewhere to do hair & makeup and to come back for wedding in August. Wow- they did an amazing job!! I couldn't have been more pleased with the "camera ready" hair/makeup package. Being mature (61) they did a wonderful job and makeup was incredible- natural and lasted all day/into evening. See you all in August!!!

I got my hair + makeup done on a whim at Goldplaited and I couldn’t be happier with the result. Estrella took care of me and made sure I felt AMAZING throughout the entire process. I have never gotten my hair And makeup done before so I was really nervous walking in. But I walked out feeling like a superstar! They did an amazing job on my bridal hair. I wanted a specific vision that included a crown braid and they were able to achieve the look. I went to another place before here and that place was not talented enough to get the look I needed. If you want to have something done that includes braids I definitely recommend this place. It's hard to find someone who can braid correctly.

Went last Saturday Feb. 11 the services I received was a Blowout and style was half up and half down. Jasmine did my hair she did a great job! I will definitely be back again.

Do not give this place your money. I helped my fiancee try to find a place to get her hair and makeup done for our wedding and I sincerely regret finding this place. Different people at the salon told her different things and then they handled the situation extremely poorly. I listened to the call on speakerphone and they were very rude and dismissive of her, eventually telling her she "wasn't a good fit for their salon" after she was just trying to figure out the details of her appointment. She is a super nice and understanding person and this salon tried to take advantage of her and failed to honor their prior commitments. I encourage you to use another salon, and not risk being treated the way theyve treated her.

Don't go to this place. They sold me a package for something I wasn't sure about using, telling me that I could call 24 hours before the event and cancel it. When I called 2 days later to change it, they told me that I couldn't change it. The manager definitely doesn't know how to treat customers.

I had the most wonderful experience this past Friday at the River North location. I came here before my cousin’s wedding, and as I was getting my hair and make up done, both ladies listened to my requests and certainly delivered. My thick, curly hair kept its curl the entire night. My makeup looked so natural and stayed in place throughout the evening. Will certainly return for future events!

If I could, I would give them zero stars, I had a Saturday morning appointment at 8am since I had a event at 11:00 am. When I went to the location in river north it was close. I called them and they said they forgot to contact but my location it was reschedule for Lakeview location. There was me, 9:00 am looking for somebody to get my make up done 1 hour before my even . Awful service

Talented and friendly stylists who listen to what you want. I went here to get my hair and makeup done for a wedding. I appreciate that the makeup artist and hair stylist checked with me for input on decisions but understood my overall look I was going for! I’d definitely go back for any special occasion.

This is the worst consumer service I have ever had in my life. They simply canceled the service I had scheduled for my wedding day, leaving me with no options. The manager was extremely rude to me and made fun of my accent for being Latina, telling me that I was not a good fit for their beauty salon . . . UPDATE FIRST: The only reason my appointment got canceled it was because I asked to switch to another services, after you mentioned I can do it at least 48’hours before the event , and when I called back almost 20 days before of my event you said I can’t switch it and my only option was pay for something I would not to use or cancel the services. Don’t said if was my behavior. Is you are “CLARIFYING” what happened you should start saying you offer services that you’re not able to accomplish it. After all you said I’m wondering if you Are just saying all the bad review are fake and just the goodd one are real?? All your team should sit and talk about the services you guys offer so you all can be on the same page. The person who help me the first time when I went there mentioned I can change or canceled my services at least 48 hour before the event . Then I called and you manager said , she can’t do anything the only she can’t do it’s cancelled them. I don’t understand why the person on the salon told me something completely different. I asked for help and you ONLY RESPOND WAS “SORRY YOU SHOULD CANCELED. And then You look like not a good fit haha … So I’m wondering Is that how you help your costumers?????

Where do I even start. This place doesn’t even own a curling iron. I could work there, because the only qualification to work there is to have a pulse. My hair looks better and feels better when I do it at home. When I tell you I asked for loose waves I swear to god it looks like I went in an all-nighter bender and slept on my hair and woke up and called it good. One of the workers has a staring problem. You’ll know her when you see her. Ripped out one of my extensions too. ENJOY!

Better than a massage! I needed my hair and makeup done for an event and my husband surprised me by booking me both here. All employees were beyond wonderful!! They took the time to listen to what I wanted and made sure I was comfortable and feeling fabulous the entire time. I had such a wonderful and relaxing experience. The end result was even better than I imagined. Skillful, friendly and next level customer service. Wish I lived closer and could visit more often!! If you are in need of hair/ makeup services once or even ongoing, look no further!
