I’ve used Goldplaited several times for hair and makeup services for myself and teen daughter. They are easy to book and it’s always such a welcoming and professional environment. I always feel like I’m getting ready with friends. They do a beautiful job getting me ready for photos shoots I’ve had or doing hair and makeup for my daughter and her friends for homecoming. They always stay ahead of schedule and finish right on time which is so helpful. We will continue to use Goldplaited for all our special occasions.

I went for a Night Out Package and loved it! First, I absolutely loved my makeup and got so many compliments! She was absolutely lovely to talk to the entire time. Second, my hair NEVER holds curls. Every-time I go for blowouts elsewhere (Dry Bar, Blo Blow Bar, etc.) they would just instantly fall out so I have gotten to the point where I just said no to the hot tools and just left it straight. But this time the lady ensured me that she’ll get them to hold so I went with it! And I’m SO glad! They literally held in the humidity for the entire wedding and night! I was SO shocked! Even the day after my hair had a lovely wave to it. I will definitely be back again soon!

I was incredibly impressed not only with Gold Plaited salon itself but also with the exceptional level of customer service and professionalism. I booked an appointment for hair and makeup for a branding photo shoot this morning, and of all mornings, I somehow missed my alarm. What could have been a highly stressful situation was completely alleviated by their amazing team, who accommodated my appointment despite me being an hour late and still got me to my shoot on time. Ali did my hair, and Alissa did my makeup. Both were extremely talented, very personable, and made me feel so comfortable, even though I came in like a hurricane, a total train wreck rolling out of bed. They handled me with such calmness and great energy. The salon itself is absolutely adorable, located in a cute little bungalow right next to the University of Tampa, with a Scandinavian Boho vibe on the inside. I could totally imagine girls coming here to get ready for their weddings with their bridesmaids. I've been to quite a few salons for my branding photo shoots, and this was by far the best experience. My hairstyle held all day, as did my makeup. I have really thin hair that tends to lose its curl quickly, but Ali installed my instant extensions and nailed my hairstyle! I always get worried with makeup because I never wear a lot of it and am generally disappointed when I get it done, but Alissa made me feel absolutely beautiful, and my makeup looked flawless for photos. Thank you so much to the entire Gold Plaited team. You ladies are rockstars, and I look forward to coming back for more services in the future!

Love everything about this salon. The way it looks, the decor, the boutique inside, and how welcoming it feels. I’ve had my makeup done, updo and curls, I have pretty thick Peruvian hair and the curls held on me until wash day. If you have an upcoming photoshoot, special event, a date night, this place will do all the work and all you gotta do is go home and change. They’re all talented so don’t even worry what girl you get! Thank you GoldPlaited from bringing your talent to Tampa!!

Came here to prep for my headshots and they did such a great job! I can’t believe how great my headshots came out, goldplaited made me more photogenic then ever before with their professional styling! I highly recommend this place!

I am thrilled to have found a reliable and fun place to get my hair styled! They are always on time and I leave there feeling fabulous. All of the ladies there are talented and so friendly! They really can do any style: braids, up-do's, curls, you name it! Huge bonus: you can get your makeup done there too! It Makes it SO convenient for getting event-ready all in one place. Their location is great and I highly recommend getting a membership, you never have to worry about doing your own hair ever again!! I haven't stopped getting compliments on my hair since I started going there!

So I went here for an elopement hair and makeup. It was 300$+20% required gratuity (360$ total) My make up was flawless. I was very disappointed with my hair. I sent pictures in advance of desired style from one of goldplaiteds advertisement pages. They said no problem. Then I asked the stylist when I got there if I had the right hair length, texture etc to achieve the same look bc if not I had a back up style picked out. She said she could do it. I was willing to pay top dollar (180$ for my hair) to ensure I looked great on my big day but it ended up looking like a mediocre prom updo. I haven’t gotten my photos back from the photographer so I don’t have better photos than this yet.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting goldplaited Tampa for a Camera-ready package that included an adorable braided hairstyle and the best makeup I’ve ever had. I didn’t know exactly what I wanted going in and the stylists were amazing at helping me pick a style that was in my comfort zone yet still elevated. When I looked in the mirror after the transformation, I was absolutely blown away. I left the salon feeling like a million bucks - confident, beautiful, and ready to take on the world!

Went for my first time last week for a blowout and style and they exceeded my expectations! The studio itself is so chic but welcoming. Ashley did my hair; I asked for beachy waves and I was beyond thrilled. I am horrible with hair and honestly didn't think my hair would ever have waves. I was obsessed! The best part was whatever magic they use to keep the style holding all day but also SO LIGHTWEIGHT. My hair felt like nothing at all - and no stickiness or stiffness. I have some work events coming up this Spring and I know I'll definitely be back for their expertise!

I had the absolute best experience at goldplaited! The atmosphere was so peaceful and relaxing, and I couldn't be happier with my hair and makeup. The artists were knowledgeable and helpful, and they use great products that left me feeling wonderful. From the second you walk in, you feel good. Everything from the natural light that fills each room to the beautiful wallpaper and flooring this space could not be better. I was truly impressed with the level of service I received, and I would absolutely recommend goldplaited to anyone looking for a great finishing salon experience. Can't wait to go back!

I recently visited Gold Plaited for a style and enjoyed my experience!. From the moment I walked in, the staff was friendly and welcoming. I really like that all the staff is trained “The Gold Plaited” way, so that your experience at all the salons, Tampa to Chicago, will be the same regardless of who your stylist is. I got my hair curled their signature way and I’m happy with how it came out! The salon itself is also beautiful and clean, with a great atmosphere. Looking forward to trying their makeup services at my next visit!

Super cute new hairstyling and makeup studio in Tampa! This is the perfect place to visit before an event, wedding or date night. Both of the girls that did my makeup and hair were super nice and talented. I loved that they asked me about different preferences to make sure I loved the end result, which I did. The location is super cute too. It's in a old bungalow house that has been totally Instagram-ified. Also love that this is a sister-owned visit! Definitely will be visiting for my next event.

Tampa has made it BIG time!! With this arrival we now have the hair services you would find in any major metropolitan area! The service and attention to detail was unmatched. They make sure you don’t leave until your hair is 100 perfect and just the way you like it! I am so excited to have a place to book hair/makeup for major events like weddings and parties!

Absolutely adored the ladies in this salon. Ashley and Alyssa made me feel like a million $$$ walking out of there Monday and into some content shooting. I also LOVED the little boutique in the front of the store, it had classy chic clothing options and I was able to try on a few pieces and record some looks 🤩 thank you! I fell in love with the tie dye jumpsuit. So if they have that in stock, get it. So if you’re looking for an all in one beauty destination, these are your girls!!!

Gold Plaited was amazing! The girls there are all incredibly sweet and want their clients to look their best. I got my hair and makeup done and honestly, I usually hate when I get these things done but they did it perfectly. 100% recommend for special events you have. Will definitely be going back☺️

Here they go again! The GP bar of excellence for hair and makeup is high, but they’ve managed to bring it to Tampa and I’m here for it. The space itself is a whole vibe and right when you walk in the perfectly coral pink and gold decor welcomes you with open arms. The bungalow is a perfect spot to get your hair done just because or with your gals for a special event. The GP stylists are all trained to give you an excellent blowout that lasts for days. I have seen first hand how their stylists continue to grow into the experts they are and you just sit in their chair and trust they’ll make you look amazing. I was a little worried since my hair isn’t used to the Tampa heat, but I went on a long walk and these waves aren’t going anywhere. If you’re looking for a long lasting blowout, professional makeup, or an updo everyone is going to rave about, this is your place! Sad that I’m not local, but glad I have a GP back home!

I absolutely loved my experiences at Goldplaited, everyone was so incredibly warm, welcoming, friendly, and professional. I had three services performed by Goldplaited first was 2 pull through braids that were absolutely gorgeous. I got so many compliments on them and they held up for 3 days after I got them done. Second service was Goldplaited signature wave and they gave my hair the perfect beachy wave that held up for 5 days before the waves completely fell and my hair was straight again. Lastly, both times I got my hair done I also got a full face of makeup done. The makeup that they use is high quality and lasted me all day without any of it smudging or moving. I have recommended this salon to all of my friends and family and highly recommend it to anyone else considering coming here.

I had an amazing team for my bridal hair and makeup. I choose the elopement package and they worked beautifully and on time. We went for a natural look with lash extensions and half up hair, braided on one side and twisted on the other. The hair idea was all theirs and it worked out perfectly. I have been going to Goldplaited for over 5 years in Chicago. I was beyond happy that they opened up a place in Tampa when I moved down here. hands down the best glam services ever! My blowouts always look perfect and last several days . 5 stars to Goldplaited for incredible service… also the owners and staff are all so sweet.

my mom and i are big fans of goldplaited in chicago and we were so excited to see a location in tampa for while we were in town for a family wedding! the menu of service offerings and gracious accommodations of our requests were a no brainer to keep returning to gp for future events. thank you goldplaited team for giving us all the glam!
