I took my kid here while we were in town on winter break so I wouldn't have to cut his hair when we got home. So, of course, I was cutting his hair the night after we got home. Lol. Low taper fade was neither faded nor tapered.

I recently visited this Great Clips location at 8100 Wyoming Blvd, Albuquerque, and had an extremely disappointing and distressing experience. During my haircut, the stylist used an unsuitable, overly sharp clipper that caused multiple cuts to my neck. The pain and burning were so severe that I had to return to the salon immediately after leaving. The manager acknowledged the injury, sanitized the area with alcohol, and applied antibacterial cream, which only intensified the burning sensation. I have attached photos showing the injuries to my neck for clarity. What made this situation worse was the response from Great Clips customer service. They downplayed the injury, saying they “didn’t think it was serious” based on a photo they saw and even told me I shouldn’t have gone to a doctor. I found this response completely inappropriate and dismissive, especially since I was in significant pain and sought medical attention to ensure the cuts were properly treated. Their solution? Offering me two free haircuts, which is insulting given the circumstances. This demonstrates a serious lack of care and accountability from both the salon staff and owners/managers. I am sharing this review so others are aware and can make an informed choice. Injuries like this are unacceptable in a professional salon, and I sincerely hope that Great Clips will address this issue to ensure it does not happen to others.

Great job as always by the local Great Clips team. I was greeted immediately when I entered the shop. The hair cut I got was very well done and the stylist was very friendly.

I’ve been taking my kids to Great Clips for a while now because the haircuts are usually pretty good. However, I’ve noticed a recurring issue that’s frustrating. One of the stylists seems to manipulate the line order to avoid taking kids. This means we often end up waiting much longer than we should, which is really inconvenient. To make matters worse, during our last visit, a new stylist with dark curly hair gave my child a haircut that was completely different from what we asked for and what was noted in the system. She gave him a ‘one’ all around his head, which was nothing like how he walked in or the style we usually request. I’ve always appreciated the convenience and quality here, but these experiences are making me question coming back. I hope management can address these issues to improve the experience for all customers

Very happy with the service I've received at this location. Have been a customer for 10+ years and continue to go there, even though I've moved and now drive 140 miles to get there. All the stylists I've had are great, but Victoria is exceptional. I request her, if she is working, when I get my hair cut. Appreciate the senior discount.

Victoria is the absolute best across the board. I always top 20 she deserves every cent. I’ve been going to her for years and never once been disappointed. However, this past haircut Victoria want in and their was a gentleman there that helped fix my haircut. The great clips on Montgomery and Juan tabo was horrible, they have horrible customer service…. Sorry I digress. Anyway, the guy did a fantastic job. With these 2 there at LA Cueva great clips this is sure to be the best. 😊😊😊👍💯💯

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I scheduled my appointment online. When I arrived the app said zero minute wait time. They called me back sat me down & put the robe on. Then 4 people walked in. The guy then tells me that the man & his kid were ahead of me. Then they told me I'd have to go back to the waiting area until his friend Simon & his son were finished. I won't be spending my time or money in Great Clips again. The so called manager needs to take a customer service class. She should be cleaning the toilets instead of managing the place.

I was only in town for the day and needed a haircut cut really bad. They were super-busy, but I checked in online, which is such a great system, ran some errands, and showed up when I received the text msg telling me it was my turn. I requested Chelsea and was so glad I did. She was sweet, personable, and friendly, and she did a GREAT job on my haircut. I was very pleased and it was an enjoyable experience. I highly recommend Chelsea for your next haircut. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

If you are a parent DO NOT use Chelsea. She is the most rude ugly person towards kids. This is the second time we've had the unfortunate luck of getting her for my son's haircut. The first time I figured she was having a bad day and didn't say anything but today she was still the same rude unhappy person. She pushed my 2 year Olds head down and his instinct was to push back she then raised her voice to "look down!" And pushed his head back down. I asked her "do you not work with kids very often?" She said "I do but he doesn't sit still" I said "he's 2. 2 year Olds don't sit still." She then took the cover off of him and said "get your kid" so I took him off the chair. She is absolutely horrible and has no business in this field. I really hope the owner/managers see this because she needs education on how to be a decent human or find a different profession.

She didn’t show me the back of my head before I left. Red flag I know, but I was glad just to get out because the place felt like a DMV. I thought her silence meant she was focused if not passionate about her craft. Nope! Checked in with two mirrors when I got home and sure enough my neckline has that distinct, 2020 DIY vibe. The good news is now that it’s almost April, I should be able to find a scarf on sale!

Very nice. Cut my hair exactly like I wanted. Fast service, walked in with no appointment and was taken care of right away with no waiting. Maria was my stylist, she was very easy to talk to and knew exactly what I wanted. I tipped her well because her great service made me so happy!!!!
