Great Clips

I have been visiting this Great Clips regularly for 14 years. On 1/20 I had my usual cut by Axel (not sure if the spelling is correct) this was definitely an unusual experience. I did the usual look around with the mirror behind your head and at a quick glance it looked fine. After washing all the hair off at home I realized my new cut looked like I took a pair of scissors to my hair and a straight razor to the back of my neck. It was very uneven, not poorly blended but simply not blended at all. My neck felt and looked like I got in a fight with a feral cat The next Morning I went back and Hoa Mai took me in to make the corrections. She did a fantastic job, I couldn't recommend her enough. I write this review with the hope that corrections are made to the quality and safety of the cuts. To this point my neck stick burns and I hope that the shears were clean and I do not get any infections. Thank you Hoa Mai!

Walk-in, even without an appointment I was in a chair in a couple minutes. Got a great haircut and was on my way out the door in less than a half an hour. Yes I'm a senior but even with a 22% tip spent less than $25

Unprofessional, dirty, and disorganized. They’ll tell you there’s a 10 minute wait and they’ll make you wait an hour. When you finally get in a chair they’ll give you a rushed, below-average haircut at an above average price.

I really wish I had read the reviews before coming here. Sounds like everyone else had a bad experience like I did. I came in and had asked for a haircut to take off some split ends, get my hair layered, and to take some of the weight out of my hair. I spent over $30 for 5 minutes of sitting in a chair and only got the ends of my hair trimmed instead. The stylist didn’t do what I wanted with my hair because in her own words, “ it is stupid and I can’t take the weight off but I can make minor layering on the ends of your hair”. I have been to many salons in my life, I know what I asked for can be done but, she didn’t care. She was more interested in complaining to me and her coworkers about how she was upset about having to be at multiple locations to work that day and how slow her locations are instead of listening to my needs. I was there to get a haircut, not listen to your sob story. I’m sorry she isn’t happy with her job, but she needs to tell her boss or go work elsewhere, not complain to her client about it. Sad to see how horrible customer service has become and that they’ll still charge you and arm and leg for their poor services. I will be going elsewhere from now on.

I wish there was an option of 0 stars. I was looking for a faded crew cut, 1 on sides and short at the top. The stylist I got this time did a terrible job and gave an uneven cut especially on the back of my head. When i told to cut more on the top got a rude response of "I have time to cut hair only once and not 2 times" the place was empty for a Wednesday afternoon haircut and none waiting. C'mon does it take that long to cut men's hair? I'm not getting my hair cut again if such rude people are stylists. There is one other stylist I like here, she gives a great cut but i do know her by name. If i step in here again i will ensure i will get it from her.

Depends on the stylist. I just want my hair shoulder length and straight across as I always pull it into a ponytail. Most are quite capable of doing so, but last time I got a woman who cut it an inch above my shoulders and did some weird undercut thing despite me saying I wanted it "straight across and brushing my shoulders." Can't pull it back and looks nothing like the style I like. No way to fix it except wait two months for it to grow out again.

I love going to the lake tapps location for my haircut. Axel is a magician and he always brings back life to my hairs. He goes over and above to try new styles and has a great vision for the final look. I highly recommend him as your next hairstylist.

2 different barbers butcherd my hair 2 different times. Avoid this location. They don't hire quality stylists.

I went in for an easy cut (4 on the top and 1 on the sides) when I finished I had to tell the gentleman to go thru the sides again since there was still long hairs all over on my sides that was uneven. Long story short I got home and inspected my hair more and on the back it was super uneven. Ended up shaving my hair all off. So much for $27 hair cut (that includes a $2 tip.)

Terrible haircut- uneven on both sides and it does not look done by a professional at all. When we asked that it be fixed, they did a worse job and cut my son’s hair even shorter but still jagged and uneven, ended up going to a different place to fix it. Very disappointed on this Lake Tapps location.

the lady with the very long hair RUINED my daughters hair, she just kept cutting it and it was not anything close to what we asked for in length or layers...it was such a terrible haircut that my daughter had to start the school year with this hair and cried many mornings over it and did not even want her school picture taken this year over this haircut. I have literally never seen such a horrific haircut and a child should not have to go through such embarrassment. She will never forget this experience. NEVER ever ever go to the lady with the long hair.

It's an absolute crapshoot whether you'll get a decent haircut at this place. I went it for a simple clipper cut and it came out completely uneven. I went back in for a redo, and the gentleman cutting my hair did a good job. A few days later, I brought my son in, got somebody new, and they somehow turned a simple cut into a mullet. They seem to hire just about anybody regardless of skill. Some of these folks have been there for years as well.
