Came in for a haircut and the guy that cut my hair didn’t follow directions. I explained to him that I have fine thin hair and told him exactly how I wanted my haircut. He only cut an inch off the ends and never gave me the inverted bob haircut that I asked for and had the nerve to charge me 20.00. I sat and waited for my sister to get her haircut. I observed the guy who had supposedly cut my hair and he apparently only knows how to barber. After my sister was done with her cut I told her what happened. I’m not from VA, just visiting my sister for the Thanksgiving holiday. My sister went back in and spoke to Emily the manager. My sister told me to go back in and that Emily would take care of me. Emily did a wonderful job and her customer service was top notch. Emily made this bad experience into a positive.

The other day I came in after work to get a trim since my ends were splitting. I got a stylist named Mellisa (red hair) and she was outstanding. She could see were a previous stylist had “tried” to give me layers, which I didn’t want, and cut my hair so nicely. My hair is very even now. She was so pleasant to talk to. I really enjoyed her and will be requesting her next time I go!

Every time I get my haircut, the staff is always very welcoming. Brooke usually cuts my hair and she is always very professional. The store is always very tidy. I will always recommend this location

I’ve been going here for years, and ever since “Fedora man” we’ll call him, started working there, i’ve been avoiding going to this location at all. Finally gave him a chance because i was desperate for a haircut, and it’s the worst haircut i’ve ever had. Lopsided, uneven, i could go on… Avoid this place if fedora man is working… Won’t ever be going to this location ever again if he is there.

Horrible. The man butchered my daughter’s hair so bad we had to take her to another salon to get it cut to her ears. Management didn’t care or offer any apologies. I assume no further training will be given to the gentleman so I suggest folks heed my warning and go elsewhere.

I have been going to this location since it opened a few years ago and have never had a complaint. Check-in online, fast, affordable, friendly staff and a decent cut. Today I walked in, 4 people working but I was the only customer. I get a gentleman stylist with a fedora who I've seen before but never had. Terrible haircut, took forever and uneven all around... I tried to get up several times and he kept saying he wasn't done. Then to my horror he turned on a shop-vac with a brush attachment and put it all over my head. I was so stunned I couldn't move. I can't believe the other stylists would even just sit there. Whoever owns/manages this place has no idea what they are allowing. I'll never be back, go anywhere else!!

I went in Friday to get a cut. I have never been to this location. My location in Hickory had an hour wait to I drove to this one. I asked for 4" to be cut off. I was advised I needed at least 6" to come off to get all the dead ends so I agreed. I was asked if I wanted it framed around my face or a blunt cut. I wanted the frame like I had. Instead of opening the scissors and gradually doing a subtle frame from the chin down the stylist cut in the front edge and cut around to the back. I really want I wanted but thought it can't be that bad. When I got home my hair dried and there was no angle from nose the shoulder was one layer and then there was a shelf to the back of my hair. I went back to get it blended the best It could. Now my hair is cut in a big U shape. Not at all what I wanted and the only way to fix it is to cut off a few more inches. Looks like I'll be letting it grow out. It shouldn't take 12" to get the hair cut right. I did this to fix the hair loss I had from covid and now I'm still waiting to get my hair back to normal. I see the post from down below from an Ann Reed. I had the same type of horrible shelf effect and I don't even have layers. This was created from "framing my face". The least they could have done is offer me a refund. I just got an "I'm sorry". I won't go back.

My daughter and I brought my grandson in for a haircut. We had a malehairdresser, after cutting his hair he shaved my grandsons neck where he was cut numerous times. I am so upset, plus when done he took a dry vac and vaccum his neck and clothes

The older lady that cut my hair did not cut my hair as requested, asked for a medium fade, she cut it way to high and one side has a hard line with no fade. Been to this location repeatedly with no issues and made it a regular location. Definitely not pleased, will be finding a different place

Had to go back and they had a much of excuses why the cuts were so bad. They did fix the cuts. Thank you! I think they were all having a bad day and will give them another chance.

I highly recommend Savannan! She was extremely professional and sweet as could be and cut my hair exactly like I asked. I am new to the area and she is definitely my go to stylist!

I went there to get a haircut right when they opened at 10:00. It was nice the lady took me right in and got my haircut and did a fantastic job. I will go there again for sure. I will be glad when we don't have to wear masks for a haircut again.

The manager Jennifer was fantastic! Very professional and helpful. She has cut my nephew and sons hair and they were perfect. She also cut mine and I was very happy. I will be going back to her every time!!

Upon check-in, the stylist who approached me was very rude, and was getting agitated because my son's name wasn't appearing under my phone number in the computer. It was his first time at the newest Great Clips (Mt. Pleasant and Centerville) near us, and we had always successfully checked-in at our usual location (Carmichael Way). She had made such a big deal about the "Clips Notes" program, and remarked that our usual location must not have checked us in correctly in the past. She also did a bad job on his haircut, which was only a #4 buzz cut all over. We were simply there for a haircut, and not an interrogation! My husband had to get his trimmers out after we got home, to try and fix the botched area on our son's head. I'll never set foot in the new one again.

I called before I left my house and they said there was no wait. 7-minutes later when I got there, suddenly the wait was 70+ minutes, 3 people had just got there, and 3 people had been waiting for 30+ minutes already. Odd. So, I put my name on the list and came back in an hour-and-fifteen minutes. No big deal. I told the hairdresser that I had a coupon for a $9.99 haircut. After the haircut she said the online coupon (from greatclips.com) wasn't valid. A counterfeit. They only accept paper coupons; like from Valpak. She did give me a military cut for $16, instead of charging me the regular $18; so, I have that going for me! I went back and checked and the coupon was indeed from Great Clips. There was no mention of being valid at only select locations. I emailed Great Clips Customer Service and they indicated each location is a franchisee and choses which coupons to accept. Beware! Don't fall into their trap of the $9.99 hair cut coupon like I did and end up paying almost double!
