This was, without question, the absolute worst haircut experience of my life, and it's all thanks to a so-called stylist named Caesar at Great Clips. I walked in expecting a simple trim—a quarter inch off the top. Instead, this clown butchered my hair, hacking off half the length like he was in some sort of speed-cutting competition. When I pointed out that he’d gone way too far, he didn’t apologize or even acknowledge it. No, Caesar blamed my hair! Are you serious? Let’s talk about the “service” (if you can even call it that). I was in the chair for barely five minutes—just enough time for him to absolutely ruin my look. The blend was atrocious, the edges around my ears were completely ignored, and the leftover hair wasn’t even blown off. I left looking like I’d lost a fight with a weed whacker. No care, no effort, no professionalism. And Caesar? He strutted around like he knew what he was doing, dressed in all black with his earrings (no shade on the earrings—they deserve a better wearer). But his attitude was as trashy as his technique. His listening skills are non-existent, his work ethic is a joke, and frankly, I wouldn’t trust him to cut paper, let alone hair. I regret tipping at all—it was like paying someone for vandalizing my head. Great Clips should be ashamed to have someone this incompetent working for them. Caesar isn’t just bad at his job; he’s a disaster. I won’t be returning, and I highly recommend avoiding this stylist at all costs. Terrible haircut. Terrible service. Terrible human being. Never again.

Same experience as many others here. I hesitated to write this so not to hurt their feelings because they were essentially nice but this haircut is the worst I’ve ever had. I went in with a photo and left hoping I was imagining what just happened. Short choppy layers starting at the crown essentially a choppy bowl until mid way down. I asked for long layers and no mullet please, got a mullet and short layers. I got nervous when I saw my bangs getting cut first but wanted to trust she knew what she was doing. My bangs have layers :-( I’ve been trying to grow my hair out for over a year, and all that was obliterated in a matter of minutes. I wake up every morning hoping it’s grown out some. Reya is a nice person but my hair is a chopped up mess.

Absolute worst experience and hair cut of my life! Raya from the get go made me uncomfortable, from the moment of check in. They made a comment about how my last name was unfortunate. Then I show them a photo of how I would like my hair cut, and I got something completely different, I tried to tell them I wanted the bangs more choppy the whole cut real choppy really and not boxy. I eneded up with a very short very boxy cut that looked nothing like the photo I had showed the stylist. My hair was about an inch past my shoulders and I had said I wanted it about chin length but understood with the damage if it needed to be shorter just make sure the bangs look like the phot and the total length no shorter than ear length. I'm very traumatized now and I don't think I'll be trusting anyone to cut my hair anlgain for a long time. The photo with the pink hair is what I wanted the other photo is what I got. Not to mention I was also left with razor burn and multiple Knicks on the back of my neck from clippers. I'm no professional but I know it takes a great deal of carelessness to knick someone with clippers multiple times. This was honestly the worst haircut and experience of my life. I do not recommend anyone go to GreatClips in Lincoln-Park and if you do avoid the stylist Raya.

Great Clips!! Really the best! Friendly staff ready to serve you at their best. They really perform the best haircut every time thanks to their effective data base. Paid parking is available and not too difficult to find, in case you can't walk or use your bike.

I took my 12 year old daughter here the other day. Jerome did her hair and he was so sweet. He really took the time to give her exactly what she wanted and even talked her though how to care for and style it. She looks great and loves her new cut <3 we’ll definitely be back!

WOMEN DO NOT GO HERE! I have never had this bad of a haircut in my life. My hairdresser just kept chopping. I asked for a trim and just a slight face frame. I got a choppy cut, not one piece of my hair is symmetrical…. I can not explain how rushed I felt and defeated I feel right now.

Walked in…the two staff were arguing. The person who attended me wasn’t friendly, left all of my hair line crooked. Even acknowledged it right away, because he knew. I said a little off the top, cut half if the length off. Which I said quarter inch and cut an inch. When I said that’s too much, I was told, “I know what I’m doing.” I was in the chair for no more than 5 min. Didn’t blend where I asked. Didn’t line around the ears. Didn’t blow dry the extra hair anything. Worst service I’ve ever received at any great clips. This person was awful. I regret giving any tip at all. It was the guy who wore all black and had earrings (no judgement on that - more power to you on that front). Terrible service, terrible listening skills, terrible all around.
