Recently I got a haircut at the Great Clips in Hyde Park Plaza, Cincinnati. I've had many haircuts at Great Clips before, but never at this location, so I stressed to Angelina that I wanted a very, VERY light trim, just on the sides and back. I then further stressed that I wanted her to be extremely conservative with how much hair she cut because, as I made a point to say, if she didn't cut enough, I could always ask her to take off a little more, but the reverse isn't true -- if she cut it too short, she wouldn't be able to put it back on ! I then got really specific, instructing her to take just a little bulk off the sides, but explicitly saying that I still wanted some generous volume to remain, and that I wanted the hair on the sides to still be long enough so as to touch the top of my ears. She then proceeded to ignore all of that. I'm quite near-sighted, so of course I have to take off my glasses when getting my hair cut, and before I had time to even realize what was happening, she cut my hair ten times shorter than what I had asked for. There was no bulk or volume left on the sides, NONE, and it will take a good month -- at the very least -- for my hair to grow back to a length that even remotely APPROACHES what I asked her for. Worse yet, on one side it was so patchy and uneven that I feel like I need a "remedial" haircut -- except that that's inapplicable in this case, given that I can't afford for any of it to be cut even shorter than it already is ! The word "dissatisfied" doesn't begin to describe how I feel about being butchered by this employee. Needless to say, I will never return there.

Terrible inconsistency, and inability to follow directions. My first few times here I thought I’d just got unlucky with the stylist who was provided to me. I always provide a picture of exactly what I want and I make sure it is compatible with my hair texture and head shape. I don’t go for haircuts often so when I do, there is a lot of thought put into it. Most recently I was given a full shave on the sides off the bat, when I asked for a low, long fade. The stylist finished the job with a very sloppy hard-part shaved into my head, totally out of place looking terrible, like she knew it was bad and tried to salvage it. She took it too far and went on to tell me about my very minor dandruff/dry scalp. I will take my hair and my money to a different business as I did that day to get it fixed because of how awful an experience it was.

After being skipped over in the list multiple times and sat waiting for an hour during my previous visit, I didn't go back here for about two years. Decided to go because it's close and I just needed a cleanup around the ears and neckline. He proceeded to trim a line into the left side of my forehead (which I didn't ask for) but not the right, and left it uneven. I guess I'll need a good hat for a few weeks. Don't waste your money here, even for something "simple".

I just my haircut at this Great Clips location and it was the worst experience I’ve had- the picture is of my neck after I left. The stylist cut my neck up really bad and then refused to give any discount or support after seeing what she did. This was unacceptable and now my neck is all cut up and in pain, I’m not even sure they were cleaned from the last patron when she used them on me. DO NOT go to this location- the picture should speak for itself on the quality of haircut.

I had a lovely experience getting my hair done here! I asked for just a shampoo and blowout and Donell took it to the next level and transformed my hair into some movie star stuff. Like I can't stop swishing it. Donell was just great in general and I highly recommend him!

Terrible customer service. Lady at the counter was rude and would not check me in but had no problem checking others in and cutting their hair right away. Why did I bother to check in online? Don’t go here.

My daughter went in for a trim, hair halfway down her back and came out with it cut HORRIBLY, not an even cut, the lady didnt know what she was doing or didnt care to try to get someone else to do it if she was in over her head with my black child's hair. Seems as though she just cut it any time it got tangled in the slightest bit. Had to tell her to just stop, don't cut anymore. Black guy offered to fix it up but the trust was gone..Took her to Madeira location and Phil got my daughter together. Her hair is now very short, too short for a ponytail but it will grow back. I don't recommend this location for black hair.

Terrible place they don't listen to directions. Employees are rude. I asked to speak with a manager they told me they didn't have a manager. Never will go back. If I could give this place negative stars I would.

Went in because I burnt one side of my hair and wanted to even it out. In less than five minutes, the stylist had cut my hair into severely uneven layers. The side that I had burnt was LONGER than the other side. Nothing is even. She went so fast she lightly slapped my temples. No parting, no sectioning, just random pieces of hair getting chopped. Never got her name. Manager was nice about trying to get me a refund, but I would never recommend anyone who isn’t looking for a buzz cut to enter this place.

Oliver gave me a great haircut! I've had a butchered haircut that I had been walking around with until it was long enough to be cut again, and I have had nothing but compliments on it. Oliver evaluated my hair, made a couple of suggestions and then did a terrific job.

Please for your own sake do not go here. Ruined my hair by thinning the hell out of it, gave me uneven bangs, and just chopped up the length. Had to get it fixed at another place the following day. There's another great clips not far from this place on Vandercar way that gives great haircuts, go there instead.
