Alicia has been cutting my hair for at least 15 years now! I always get compliments on my haircut! She is very professional and respectful of her clients. The other stylists are very pleasant, as well! I like going to Pelham 85 Great Clips.

I have my hair cut by Pammy at the Pelham Rd location. She is fantastic. My hair is very fine and difficult to cut. Pammy gives me the best haircuts I have ever had. I highly recommend her.

Insane. Just needed a blow dry and they wanted to charge me $90! Every a la carte so shampoo separate from blow dry. Wow. Nuts. Went across the street to the BlowBar. $45 and drinks are included;)

*(update) Came in because no other salon had availability for 3 weeks out. Asked for a mid shoulder cut and end up with a hair cut above the shoulder. I felt so humiliated. The women literally just chopped my hair off and said there you go. And went to the checkout counter. I purposely have it a certain length due to abuse I went through. Now it is cut to the length all those memories come back and there is no way to fit it but to wait until it grows out * as of one week later after talking to customer service nothing STILL has been done. Worst customer care I have ever seen. I get the excuse that the local owner has my email and to wait to hear from them.

Hate to say it but I don't think I'm ever coming back to a Great Clips. I have curly hair that is all one length, so I just like to get a shampoo and trim every 6-8 weeks and it's nice to pay a reasonable price for a simple service. However, the last couple of visits, l have been disappointed. Yesterday I checked in online and arrived when i was told to, but still ended up waiting 20 minutes. I recognized there was only one employee and several people were waiting. When it was my turn I asked for a shampoo because I intentionally left my hair dirty since curly hair must be wet before it is brushed and then trimmed. The employee told me they were not doing shampoos right now because they were short-staffed but that "it's okay I can just spray". I felt it was disgusting to have my hair dirty, sprayed damper, haphazardly trimmed, and sent on my way in 5 minutes. I had to go home immediately to wash and restyle my hair. I will have to find somewhere else that actually knows how to handle a simple haircut.

I called to make an appointment and was told they take walkins only and I asked if I came now how long would I wait. She said about 20 minutes without telling me I could register on line. I walked in about 20 minutes later and sat there for about 30 minutes with guys walking in one after the other and after asking if they registered online would take them on back. I got up and asked why I wasn’t getting waited on was told the other people had registered before me. I said thanks and left. My experience was unsatisfactory and will never go there again. Poor management.

I do not recommend this location due the unpleasant staff, who is incapable of following directions. My fiancé decided to drop by for a haircut this afternoon. When he walked in the employees were rather cold, but he was quickly seated in a chair and the girl cutting his hair briefly discussed with him what he wanted, which was to take a good bit of length off the top. She, however, proceeded to trim maybe a half inch of hair off the top and then immediately removed his cape and collar and exclaimed that she was done. She never asked his opinion or even allowed him the chance to object or ask that she cut more off. Not being comfortable with confrontation or causing problems, he simply paid the $24 for what barely amounts to a trim, put his hat back on, and left. Now he’s trying to find another place to get an actual cut, after wasting his time and money here. The only good thing about the visit was that it was quick and that she didn’t shave all of his hair off. So at least his current “haircut” can be quickly remedied.

I love coming to Great Clips at Pelham Road! The staff are friendly and know me by name. It's like Cheers with talented stylists instead of bartenders. I highly recommend the Pelham at 85 location. They've turned me from looking homeless to looking like a prince numerous times. 5 stars!

Service is inconsistent here, greatly depends on the hair stylist you get. Some are good and some are not good. Don't recommend the curly red head hair dresser, acted like she couldn't care less and wasn't personable at all, if anything borderline rude. Due to highly inconsistent results and experiences here I won't be going back and can't recommend this "Great Clip's".

UPDATE: I have tried repeatedly to reach Great Clips customer service as suggested by their robo reply below, but haven't been able to reach anyone. I just keep getting stuck in a voicemail loop. There doesn't appear to be any way to reach an actual human. HORRIBLE experience! Worst haircut ever! If I could give zero stars, I would. I went in for a quick trim, and came out nearly bald - and I actually am bald in places where the stylist got too close with the clippers. I'm seriously considering just clipping my whole head down to a 2, and buying a hat until it grows out. It's that bad.
