This is a great place for a decent haircut at a reasonable price. If you're not looking to get a dye job or something more sophisticated then I would highly recommend checking this place out. I recommend making reservations in advance using their app as the wait times can sometimes be significant and if you use the app they let you know how long the wait is.

From when I walked in the door and approached the desk the woman (Roxy ) was so rude she kept asking if I used a different number, she couldn’t find me in the system as I told her 3-4 times I haven’t checked in online before, and with great attitude so told me to sit down, then the woman (Silvia) about to cut my sons hair asked how I wanted his hair as he is explaining to her how he wants it and she just ignored him and asked again and I said he is telling you what he wants, the phone rings she answered it with an attitude tell the customer just to keep watching online for their appointment then threw the phone. She totally messed up my son’s hair to the point he was crying and just wanted it all off. This place is really bad for business and the location you think would have some type of customer service. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

I don't know her name, but her right hand has a big tattoo, watch out! Stupid jokes and an illiterate way of holding a conversation, which everyone has to listen to her (because she shouts when she talks). I used another hair salon the same day ...... !!!

Absolutely ridiculous, I leave my house with 20 minutes left on the app saying that I'm second on the list I get to the store and my name has been removed from the list and then I'm told by a very rude lady that I have to wait another hour with no consideration for what I'm trying to tell her. Worst location in Nevada I would strongly advise not going to this store.

The lady who greeted me was kinda rude, the lady who cut my hair didn't bother saying a word to me aside from asking what I wanted to get and if it looked good. I showed the stylist a picture of what I wanted and while she got the skin fade correct, she didn't seem to acknowledge the length of the hair in the picture because when she "finished" my hair was still way too long. I even asked her what she recommended since it was still somewhat long and she said "I don't know it's your hair, I thought it was short enough but I guess not". And on top of that I tried showing her where id like my hard part at and she cuts it way lower than were I asked. I'm more than likely not coming back to this location. Waste of time and money honestly.

Southern highlands location… Walked in and checked in for a 45 minute wait. After an hour, was told it would be another hour wait because we never checked in online. They had another man even walk in with one online check in and two others with him that weren’t online check ins and all of them were taken before us. VERY RUDE! After that we walked out.

We brought Joyce Nehlsen my 86 year old Mother in Law in today for a cut/shampoo/blow dry and I have to say Sue did an amazing job. She was very kind and my MIL is extatic about her hair. Thank you Sue we appreciate you!

First bad experience from this place, but talk about a bad time to happen, as I was depending on a clean looking haircut for my trip out of the country. First off, I no longer trust their system, about how their artists keep notes on file for your preferred haircut. Ive always gotten a mid fade from this place, but I believe the new artist who cut my hair today misinterpreted whatever notes she read and with poor communication and judgement I'd say, gave me a really bad looking haircut. I already had a bit of a mid fade going on, but she decided to give me a skin-tight "1" fade all the way around. I tend to trust in these people's abilities and judgement a bit too much, and really enjoy relaxing during these services. I also wear prescription glasses, in which I had to remove, so its tough to monitor the situation. I will not be returning to this place and am left with further trust issues.

I had the absolute worst experience today as a would-be first time customer and won't be returning! I used the online check in system, which estimated a 55min wait. When it was my time to head to the shop, I got my text saying we would be up in 15 minutes. My son and I arrived to the store 12 minutes later for the woman- Asian/ Filipino decent to tell ask his name and say we weren't on the list. I showed her the text, the time stamp, and asked if she could search by phone number or check the system because we were there right when we were told to be, a few minutes early even. How could his name NOT be there? She was EXTREMELY rude, unaccomodating and stated that we would have to go back onto the list- as #8 now, and wait another 50 minutes to be seen. She then told me she didn't have time to continue speaking to me and ignored me and started talking to multiple other clients sitting down, instead of addressing the issue at hand. Waiting almost another hour was not the answer, when I have a legitimate confirmation and time stamp on my phone, from this exact location. I would understand if we were late, by 10-15 minutes, to mark us as a no-show. But how am I supposed to know when to be there, if your own system said 15 minutes, and before that time hits, she has no idea what I'm talking about, my son's name is gone, and to be treated like I'm trying to cut the line or making the whole story up. Completely rude, unprofessional and lacking in customer service skills. I won't be returning.

Cut by the Caucasian lady with medium/ long blond hair that had a clip on her hair and has a very loud mouth. Very unprofessional, talking bad about past clients. If only I could give a negative star. Never going back because of her. If you do go here, don't let her cut your hair.

Great Clips in Southern Higlands. I walked in with my son and the hair dresser who is cutting someone else’s hair is starting me down and giving me dirty looks. Not sure if she is social profiling or just prejudice and doesn’t like black people but someone needs to be made aware that you have unprofessional people working here. She then went to the other hair stylist and staff members and started talking about me openly and I could hear them. I have been coming here for years with my husband and my son. This is the first time I have had such a poor experience here and made to feel so terrible. It’s extremely disappointing to be treated poorly. When is the prejudice going to stop????????

I walked in on 03/16/2024 for a high military close to skin fade and they were not very accommodating and recommended going to a barber shop. I do not recommend this location at Cactus and Decatur in Southern Highlands. Other locations have accommodated me without issues as a customer to provide an experience and result requested. Charles

Paola Melendez is the best! She moved to a different Great Clips so now we have t drive 30 minutes for our haircuts but she is totally worth it. She is the only one I will let cut my grandson’s hair. He loves her!

I’ve called 2 weeks ago and asked if Sue was working…. Yes she works on Sundays from 8 to 1 pm. I get there with my bicycle at 11:30…. Oh, I’m sorry Sue left because she wasn’t feeling well…., I called yesterday to make sure, yes she’s off at 1pm. I get there again with my bicycle at 11:20, and I see her in the middle of the group of girls having fun and doing nothing! One girl comes to me to check me in, Sue you have a customer, she turns around and starts laughing…..haha I just clocked out!! I thought it was a joke, she goes laughing and continues…. Haha I literally just clocked out! I asked if she was serious about it, since they all laughed and had so much fun. She said, hahaha I literally just clocked out, I’m hahaha so sorry!!! That’s the last time she will have fun seeing my face!!!! I work in retail, someone of the group of giggling cows could have stepped up and offered me a haircut, but no they all giggled and had so much fun. Apparently she left 2 weeks ago, not because she was sick, but because it was slow, and yesterday her boss told her to clock out because it was slow, I wonder why it’s so slow??? Hahaha

We been going here for the longest time and never had any issues. Today my son got his haircut, one of the ladies seems new there and messed up his hair. He was crying and all, they didn’t seem to care or apologize instead she blamed him for moving. My son is not a little child that you can’t tell him not to move. If the issue was moving. From brow level bangs to more than 2 inches above brow level. We ask them to fix it but said no. From this experience we will not go back to this place anymore! They have no empathy

We come here only for Margys because she's the absolute best! She's the only person who can cut my picky husband's hair. Also, she's amazing at cutting my kids hair. 100% recommend her!

I mean great clips has always been a decent place to go but I went to this location and they made me wait about 50 minutes past my appointment time, then when I was getting my haircut the lady there who was cutting my hair kept saying there was product in my hair while twisting the buzzers and pulling my hair which was absolutely painful I’m not sure if she was new but I don’t use any product and once another employee saw what she was doing she stopped it and started cutting my hair like a normal person. I’m never going here again tbh

One of the worst place I have ever visited, the staff was so rude for no reason for the time of entry. They say they close at 9pm but their staff seems to act like they close at 6:30pm. These guys expect you to know the exact length of hair you wanna cut (literally the trimmer size), like seriously? Why am I paying? I was literally done with my haircut and beard within 10mins and was told THEY CANNOT DO ANYTHING MORE FOR ME when asked to shape my beard properly. Your staff should should definitely learn how to talk to a customer.
