Never again. At one time I regularly got my haircuts here. My hair is thick and wavy, but it should be relatively simple for a stylist to cut....just want it tapered very short on the sides and back and a bit less short on top....but only like an inch and half or so of hair on top. Before, the stylists would do 90% of the work with the clippers and it came out fine each time. Past 3 times I've gotten a lady at the first chair and it's been a mess each time (silly me for letting it happen more than once I guess). I plainly stated: "I only want an inch-inch and a half of hair on top.....and you need to use the clippers on everything...not just the sides and back." I literally had to stop her and try and reiterate the instructions 3 TIMES while she was cutting my hair because I could tell she wasn't listening. So, she NEVER used any clippers on top....and I've got a mass of hair from about mid-top of my head to the base of my forehead where the hairs are probably about 3 inches long....I mean, how can a trained stylist not tell the difference by eye? But even if you can't....THAT'S WHAT THE CLIPPERS ARE FOR! So now I'm going to have to salvage it myself....AGAIN. This is the last time that will happen.

They close early without notice, so if you value your time don’t waste it. Even if you get in as I have eventually, the haircut is never very good. I either have long hairs left around my ears or it’s just not good generally.

What I asked for, vs. what I got… I’m on the verge of tears. When I saw her make the initial cut to my bangs, I almost jumped out of the seat. She took off WAY more than I asked, at least 4-5in. Worst haircut I’ve ever received.

Worst Great clips location in Louisville, not a single person in their knows how to cut a fade. I don't see how any of them have a job! literally. Every time I get my haircut I have to go home and fix it. Today I went in and asked for a six on top, lady grabbed a two and started shaving ☠️ will never be back again.

I went almost two months ago and the service wasn't good. The worker I got I had to fight to get my haircut cut the way I wanted it. When I asked her questions she said she wasn't allowed to answer my hair questions which is odd because my old hair dresser answered any questions I had. She cut my hair wrong to the point where I wasn't satisfied. She also accused me when I told her I was in school that I did not do my work but had someone else do it. I said no I do my own school work she looked confused. Would not go back again.

I've been to the store. Three times . 2 times my haircut was perfect. I was there yesterday to get a haircut before my daughter's birthday party. When I came in the lady that normally cuts my hair was not there. There. Was a white lady and there was an asian lady. The Asian lady. Notice me about 5 minutes after I came in. She was busy on Her phone rather than checking me in. After she checked me in, she went back to playing on Her phone and after about 15 minutes told me she was ready. Being that I've been there twice. They have the way I like getting my haircut in their system again. Told her what I wanted and when I was done it was a haircut nightmare. Instead of fading me. She pretty much gave me a 2 all the way around. Except for in the front and she left three inch bangs.i know I didn't ask for a Portland fade. I was so mad I didn't address the situation because I didn't want to be mean .I don't suggest getting a haircut at this establishment because you may get stuck with her. At my daughter's party everyone thought my barber was mad at me I will NEVER return to this business

I probably should've stopped going to Great Clips a long time ago after about half a dozen botches to my hair, but this last visit really takes the cake. I'm pretty certain a literal sociopath cut my hair. Non-stop she kept going on and on about how pretty my hair and face were, making me feel extremely uncomfortable and awkward, and to top it off she would not stop asking where I lived. Then the coup de grace was the way she cut my hair. All I asked for was a few inches chopped off, nothing too crazy, just keep the same hairstyle but a bit shorter. Well apparently she didn't like what I asked for, then proceeded to give me a mid 2000s emo cut. I kept telling her this was not what I wanted, but she kept insisting that it looked great and refused to cut anymore of it. So eventually I just gave up, paid the $20, and went home and cut off about 4 more inches myself. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place like the plague, you'll thank me later.

Tracy always gives me the best haircuts and is the sweetest woman ever! She needs to be in a salon highly recommend, always tip her good she does great work for the money and deserves it.

Went in for a trim and Tracey did just that!! My hair looks nice and healthy now. She’s very polite and funny. She’s definitely about her money! Outstanding at her job.

I would rate them 1 star, but the first time I went here I got a decent haircut. The second time I had a different "stylist" who obviously didn't care what she was doing. She did a terrible job, on a haircut that is a #3 on the top and #1 on the sides and back, which is the second easiest haircut behind shaving someone's head. I've done a MUCH better job myself in my bathroom mirror with my own clippers. Instead, I got to pay $25 ($19+tip) and had to go home and shave my whole head on a #1 because the haircut was unsalvageable.

Since I've moved to Louisville, I been going to this Great Clips. I have my main hairstylist, and she does a awesome job every time. I know some people say they don't like Great Clips but, I'm getting a $19 haircut that looks super awesome and they are getting their hair screwed up by Sports Clips....

Very poor performance and decision on my part to come here. Asked for the top to just be blended in, with a fade on the sides and it ends with my losing half the length I have on top. And not anything close to a fade. Just overall extremely disappointing experience.
