According to the Great Clips website, "Great Clips stylists are skilled at serving kids and adults with sensory or special needs, and salon teams will work with you to make reasonable accommodations for your service." Their website also prides itself on providing first haircuts to children. So you'd assume that all stylists at all locations would be trained and comfortable providing haircuts to toddlers. A toddler who's going to fuss when they get sprayed with water, move around, and is scared of a hairdryer. This was not the case during my visit. When my toddler was fussing, our stylists bluntly said "If [they] don't stop moving, I'm not going to cut [their] hair, because I'm not about to cut myself." There was no attempt to work with us or wait for my kid to calm down and try again. So we left frustrated with no service. Maybe the stylist was having a rough day (based on their behavior with myself and the client before us), if that's the case I hope it gets better. Or maybe they just need a refresher course on customer service and toddler haircuts. I've tried other kid salons who've done a great job, but I wanted to try somewhere closer to home and cheaper. I should have just stuck with the more expensive option.

This place really knows how to ruin your day. I literally cried after my haircut. I have a mullet she definitely didn't know what to do. I explained that I didn't want to cut off much length, just shape up the sides with a 2 guard and do an all-around sweep to remove some dead ends. However, she cut the sides too far back because she didn’t know how to blend, and she cut the back of my mullet short when I just asked for a sweep to get rid of some dead ends. One side is blended, and the other side is harsh. Now it just looks like a weird blob on the back of my head. Thank you so much for ruining my day and the future of what my mullet is going to look like further down the road.

have been visiting this location for about a year, have to say my most recent trip in very well may be my last, the young lady that did my cut seemed to have no desire in being there and frankly was rude. shortly after she started i was tempted to say i would be happy to wait for someone else if she didnt want to be cutting my hair as she had jabbed the points of the clipper guard into my scalp 5-6 times in a matter of a minute.

Multiple times I’ve had awful service and rude stylist. Today, I walk in with more time in the day than shown on waitlist and I’m turned away. I wanted to give it another chance…. But service doesn’t change I guess. I used to have the best with Maria in Aksarben, Sarah on 156th and Dodge.. but this location on 144th and Hillsborough… Needs work.

We ended up going to great clips off of 144th & maple and my son got a haircut. It was the worst haircut he has ever had ( he is 10) and he was even very upset after it was cut and all evening. The bangs were not straight and it looked like she butchered his hair. there was not a lot of communication between the hair dresser and my husband who took him. Ridiculous!!!

latest review-date: jan 2024: Kayla is the worst hair stylist here, got one of the worst haircut today. this place use to have some great hair stylist but now all gone. Definitely not recommending this place choose other place or atleast experienced stylists. gone again to fix my hair the same day- she was able to fix as much with whatever is left really frustrated and going to regret everytime i see my face 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎 old review - date: march 2023: great cut and awesome price, definitely recommend for my friend
