I recently heard from a friend that she was treated badly for wearing a scarf and asking for a booth at the back of store, for hair cut, as the employee had to move all the stuff to the other booth and the employee kept on making noises and faces to which my friend kept on apologizing and that employee even asked “why do you even wear a scarf”. Well it is anyone’s RIGHT and our first amendment to dress the way we want. The manager tried telling my friend not to write any reviews as then my friend will be just like the employee, who had hurt her feelings. They even told her that if she writes that employee name that it will be considered “targeting” that person. Are you seriously kidding me. My son has had many bad haircuts at that place as their goal is to just be done with him in 3 minutes as he is a child and doesn’t complain but this is ridiculous that you guys support a racist person!

Fast and poorly done haircut for my son. They spent 5 to 10 minutes and then I asked them to fix parts of it and it wasn't much better after that. $20 isn't exactly a cheap haircut either. The location on 158th does a much better job. Or for $4 more, The Barbers does a great cut and spends twice the time on it.

Very disappointing! This Great Clips location refuses to accept valid online coupons most of the time. Other nearby locations in Bethany honor the same coupons, but here, you only find out they won’t accept them after you’re already billed. There’s no prior warning or disclosure, just a dismissive ‘this location is not participating.’ Poor customer service!

Nannette cut my hair and did a fantastic job. She followed my request exactly as always…I have been going to her for years now. Plus she’s friendly and pleasant. Great job!!!

This location is really terrible shop. They don't want to receive coupon. Coupon stated that it needs to be confirmed before service but they don't want to check whether coupon is valid or not before service. They wanted to check it after service. If the coupon is not valid after service, customer should fully paid without coupon. Since Great Clip's coupon code will be expired after some people already used same code, this is why Coupon stated that it needs to be checked before service. Since I had the same issue before, I requested to check whether coupon is valid or not but they rejected and told me that I need to pay fully if coupon is not valid after service.

Had the stylist thin my very thick hair. She just randomly chopped my hair. I have some very weird chunks out of my bangs area because of that.

Veronica did an AMAZING job on my hair...I was beyond impressed! She took her time making sure my cut looked great and was exactly what I wanted...it was quite different from my past experiences so I'm thrilled! I'll definitely be back to see her again when it's time for my next trim.😊

I’ve had nothing but a great experience since having my haircut here for the last two years. I go every two weeks. Melissa is amazing. Don’t listen to the negative reviews that blast people online. They simply don’t have the courage to bring the issue up in person. Some people are just ridiculous.

They have this strange rule even for little kids that parents should stay in the checkin area. I would rather be with my kid and tell the stylist if there are any adjustments needed. Not coming here for my kids cut.

We took our son in for a haircut on 6/21/2024.. We very clearly told the stylist what type of trim our son wanted and she completely ignored our request. Because this shop has a terrible policy that parents are not allowed to accompany their children, we were not able to intervene. It’s ridiculous to put children in that awkward position. We will NEVER return. Perhaps there are some decent stylists at this location but the one we got was terrible and the policy I mentioned is bad. We should have walked out. Fortunately hair grows back but that doesn’t make our son’s tears of disappointment go away.

I had been to this place many times and had no problems, but today was different. The stylist refused to serve me. She rudely told me I needed to go home and comb my hair before coming back, and my hair wasn't even particularly messy. If your hair isn't 100% perfect, do waste your time going here.

I would give a zero if it was an option. The lady cut my son’s hair in less than 5 minutes. Worst hair cut, I should have listened to my hubby about the place. The hair cut he wanted was the screen shot picture. Please tell me if that looks anything like the picture.

Melissa the absolute best hair stylist in the country. She cut my hair years ago for about four years. I just recently returned to have her cut my hair again and can’t believe the difference. I won’t be going anywhere else for a long while. She is always friendly (as are the rest of the staff) and makes my day brighter whenever I visit. Thank You Melissa!

I went in to get a simple trim for my nephew and asked for a perfect cut. The woman refused to cut his hair. I do not recommend this barbershop. The woman looked somewhat attractive.

Today morning (02/19/2024): I went for a hair cut service with given below instruction: Sides & Back: #1 Low Top: 3/4 Inches Off Style: Fade, 1/2 hairline She finished in 2 mins... and did not even pour water initially on hair and at the end without combing or checking herself asking me "it's done.". Do you like it? It's the worst service I have ever had in the past 8 years with great clips @bethany blvd location... I have to think now how to adjust my look with this.. maybe i will wear a cap for a few days.. disappointing.. Not even understanding what we say to her.... I don't recommend this location...

Wish I could give a review without any star. The person who gave me a cut doesn't know what she is doing. Got the worst hair cut of my life. Spent $12 for a butcher cut and had to spend more just to fix the damage. Never going back. They need to train the employees before let them work

I'd give zero points if Google had allowed. Horrible service at this salon. Please stay away if you can. They wouldn't even clean the seating area and the surrounding after haircut of the previous customer before taking you in. They will not do it even if you request. Quality of the hair cut is also absymal. They get done with cutting your hair in less than 5 minutes for a $15+ haircut!!!! You'll return home with hair everywhere and to find out that it was not cut properly. You'd need to do some patch up at home to make your hair presentable right after getting haircut at this location!!! Such lousy customer service. Please stay away from the Bethany Great Clips at Portland Oregon. You'd be way better served elsewhere.

Nanat had given me some of my best haircuts I’ve ever had for over a year now, and always gotten many compliments on how good my hair cuts look. She is a real professional, and truly deserves her own studio if the owners of the franchise ever reads this. I’ve spent much more at upscale salons and received worse hair cuts than Great Clips. When I sit down in the chair, I don’t ever need give specific instructions. I trust Nanat judgement to make it look nice and every single time.

Nice staff, but unfortunately very subpar haircut. They often tend to rush you, which is fine, but it just ends up in a lower quality haircut. I mean, my stylist accidentally created a 10° slant on my nape, when it was supposed to be flat. My side burns were off by half an inch. Everything else my stylist did average. Personally, I don't think this deserves one star, as this is something I could probably fix on my own. But when you're paying so much for a haircut...you would expect far better. I caution you to be careful if you are getting a haircut here for the first time. If you found this review helpful, consider liking it! It helps me and other people out :)

I want to give 0 but i can't. So I am giving 1. Service of this great clip store4768 NW Bethany Blvd Ste C-6, Portland, OR 97229 is very poor. Today i went there for my haircut and it was not closing time yet. There was 20 mins left to close but they didn't take me in. By the closing time my haircut might be done or if they were trying to close early then they should have change the sign from open to close then probably i shouldnot get off from my car, the store was still showing open and one hair dresser was ready to take me in but someother guy told her not to do that. I was really annoyed.
