Do not come to this place. Not recommended. Took my twin boys here for a nice haircut or so i thought. When we got there no one was ahead of us and there were 2 hair stylists available so each of them took on one of the boys each. And as i was trying to tell the lady who seemed like more “in charge” there, how i wanted the boys haircut to be, the other hairstylist was already buzzing my other twin boy’s hair away without even waiting for instructions to the point that it was already way to short for my liking. I was so pissed so i just told the other lady to copy it just to make it look similar as possible. I would NEVER come back to this place again.

First time visiting this location I used the Veteran’s Day free haircut coupon. Outstanding service and haircut by Natsumi! I asked for a mid-high fade and I’m extremely happy with the results compared to many other barbershops in the area that I visited in the past. Highly recommended especially to all the military out there looking to get a nice squared away haircut/fade ask for Natsumi you won’t regret it.

Store Location: 640 Dennery Rd Ste 103, San Diego CA Confrontational Hairstylist: Karla I came into the hair salon today for a trim of my bangs and 2 inches of my hair length. Karla brought me to her booth and and asked me what length I wanted my bangs. I told her I normally have then straight across and just wanted a small trim and lifted my bangs under the my eyebrows to show her where I wanted them to lay after the trim. As soon as as she started I felt that she had already started to trim them short but I waited until she was done in hopes of trusting the process. She stopped cutting my bangs and I was horrified on how short my bangs were about an inch above my eyebrows and on the sides the left was longer than the right side. I had a frown and furrowed eye brows and said with a nervous smile (trying not to offend her) “These are really short” and she said that is what I asked for and I told her that I only asked for a small trim and have never wanted or had my bangs that short. She insisted that is what I asked for and then said next time I need to do a better job showing her where I wanted it. She asked me if I wanted to have her taper my bangs on the ends and I said okay reluctantly as long as it didn’t make my bangs short. She then said she was done with the bangs and I pointed out the left side was longer than the right side. As she was cutting my hair she asked me if I was done after the bangs or if I still wanted the rest of my haircut. I said I was done after she evened out the bangs. She then asked “were you traumatized before, is that why you are acting like this” with a rude tone/ attitude. I responded no not until this experience with her. There was another male hairstylist his name started with the letter F and part of the LGBT community. He came up asked me if everything was okay. My eyes got teary and I said they were really short than what I am used too and the sides were not even. Karla interrupted and stopped cutting my hair and said that is what I asked for in a loud tone and with an attitude. He said “It’s okay let me see what I can do… They are pretty short but it’s okay they will grow out” I started to cry after he validated my concerns instead of getting rude with me. She then laughed and said loudly “maybe I should cry too then… I did a good job and cut your hair like you asked...I should cry too.” She then addressed the male employee and said “Maybe we should install cameras from now on” I then had more tears fall from my eyes because I was so shocked that this beyond inappropriate behavior was actually happening and she was blatantly belittling me in my face. I am 38 weeks pregnant and all I wanted was a trim but instead I got verbally abused by this hairstylist. I then told her “I wasn’t even being rude to you.” She continues to yell at me and belittle me with the same words. The male employee repeated tells her “She does not have to like the haircut, let it go” “You need to stop.” “You are making it worse.” She did not stop until the male employee moved me to his booth instead and he had to tell her to step away multiple times. He profusely apologized for her behavior and it was not okay to treat me that way. He then finished evening out my bangs and trimmed my hair. After he finished he called his manager and they said I did not have to pay due to the bad experience I had with Karla. I left crying but appreciated that the male employee intervened and did his best to help me feel better and lighten the mood. He was the only good part of my experience. I do want to hear back regarding what action will be taken. This was the worse customer service experience of my life and I have never had someone be so rude and blatantly abusive in her words and behavior towards me. I am also considering reaching out to the board of cosmetology and barbering regarding her behavior which was abusive and unprofessional. I've seen haystacks that looked better than the worst-ever haircut from a man who seemed to be having a psychotic episode as he hacked my hair, made funny-only-to-him jokes accompanied by beating on my shoulders. Then stole $5.00 as I was trying to escape. No apparent management available to provide any help in spite of loud, obnoxicious "service" [sic]. Both horrible and frightening.

Want to start by saying I’ve been in twice before and both stylists I had were great, asked a lot of questions before starting the cut and had great consultations and cuts that made me feel better than i did walking in. However, today I went in to touch up a short mullet I had been growing out from a pixie since January. The stylist did barely any consultation. I showed photos of what I wanted and she said my hair was too short and told me she could try taking the sides up higher. I wasn’t sure what she meant but I trusted her since I know that sometimes the client just has to trust the process and I had been cutting my own hair on and off so I wanted to stop messing it up and just go to a professional. She asked me what I wanted on the sides of my mullet and I asked for a low skin fade into a #4 with the top and back evened out. Basically… she did a 0 all the way to the top of my head and left a hard line with the #4. No blending. Barely cut the rest of the hair outside of evening out the top. The end result was basically a bowl cut with bald sides, nothing like the photos I was showing her. AFTER the cut she asked me if I was in a band because the haircut was edgy (I’m not. I work in an office and needed my hair to stay professional, which is why i chose the photos i showed her.) and told me I’d like it better when I do my makeup. I was in shock because there wasn’t really a way to fix it and it was so rushed (got in at 6:03, was home and regretting the haircut by 6:40). There’s no way to blend anything so I’m pretty much going to have to shave it and start from ground 0 to keep myself looking somewhat appropriate for my job. Overall some of the stylists are great and I know everyone is doing their best but I should’ve trusted my gut and just let it grow instead of trusting someone who didn’t really understand what I wanted and rushed through what she thought I was going for. Guess it’s a good thing I’ve already done the buzz cut once. If you go here, be sure to ask for Violet or Natsumi.

Went there yesterday, gave them a photo of the haircut I wanted, and ended up looking like an old woman in her 60s trying out short hair.. Do not visit if you're a male with even slightly long hair.

Bobbi is so amazing. I will only use her going forward. She listened and suggested hair tips. Made my hair do what I do without any product in it. Once again she is so amazing. I really enjoyed talking to her about vanning and our kitty cats.
