Terrible Experience at Great Clips I recently visited this Great Clips location and had an incredibly disappointing experience. Unbearable Noise: The clippers used were incredibly loud, to the point where I felt they could cause hearing damage. When I politely requested a quieter pair, the stylist stated that she had purchased "heavy-duty" ones because the cheaper ones break easily. This is unacceptable. The excessive noise caused me significant discomfort and even made me feel nauseous. Inadequate Neck Shave: The stylist refused to properly clean the lower part of my neck, claiming that they don’t go too far down the neck. This is a basic service that other hair salons provide without issue. Overall: This experience was thoroughly unpleasant. The combination of poor customer service, unbearable noise levels, and inadequate service will ensure that I never return to this Great Clips location.

Dawn did an amazing job. I have a skin fade, military style haircut. It's not easy to get the fade right. She did great! Highly recommend a visit if you need to look your best

Hairdresser did not look at photo I brought. I specifically stated i wanted hair longer in front. Very fast haircut and she stated hair was longer in front. It is definely not! Must be at least 2 inches shorter!

I've been going to Great Clips on University Parkway for a few months now. The staff is friendly & very pleasant to interact with. I've been very pleased with the service I've received. I request Cindy each time. She listens to what style I'd like & does a very good job to cut my short style the way I like it. I'm a fan & will return!

THE WORST HAIRCUT OF MY LIFE! To start: I had not had a haircut in a year as I was bald previously and wanted to let my hair grow out before trimming it. I'm a very nervous person when getting my haircut anyways, but Katie has ruined me for ever going to a great clips again! I believe this is where old hairdressers go to retire, and bad ones go to get started! I asked Katie to just trim up my dead ends and make it look like less of a '70s boy grown out haircut; I also told her that I hated the mullet entirely as a haircut. SHE GAVE ME A MULLET!!!!! All she did was chop off 3 and 1/2 in from the top of my hair, mind you I only have 6in from the past year of growth, and left the bottom of it alone. Talked to me the entire time to distract me from what she was doing, and then put styling product in it so I wouldn't know what happened until after I got home and washed my hair the next day! This is absolutely deplorable,I have cried every day since and I'm fighting the urge not to just shave my head again and start over because I don't feel comfortable going to Another hairdresser who possibly won't listen to me, AGAIN. Do not waste your money here!

Second time visiting today. First time was exceptional. Ladies were helpful, efficient, quick, and provided my boys with decent haircuts. We got coupons, tattoos, lollipops, the works. My kids were thrilled. We thought we found our new salon. Went in again today and it was a complete 180. The lady at the front desk asked if we’d been there before. I said yes and provided my phone number. She said only my oldest was in the system. NBD, you would think, to add the second child, but, for some technological reason, two employees could not figure out how to get my second child entered without him completely replacing my other son in queue. I just watched on the screen as the name flipped from one son to the other about 10 times. I tried providing them with a second phone number to put my other child under. I also asked if my kids could just be put in line even if the system was malfunctioning. *I* offered a handful of alternative ideas. They just kept trying the same effort time after time. They finally decided to enter each child individually, apparently meaning we’d have to pay separately for each. Not a problem. However, then the lady made some comment about how she needed to hurry up and try to get us in because someone who had checked in online was on their way. Not sure why this would impact continuing to help a customer you’re already waiting on in the store? But ok. My family and I had already waited very patiently as they tried for over 15 minutes just to get us into queue, when the customer who had checked in online walked in and the lady at the front desk basically shrugged at me and said “I have to take him, so…” ???? She stopped trying to put us in altogether. It was as if I was chopped liver and because they couldn’t figure out how to get us into the system, I was SOL?? I was given zero actual solutions. She may as well have told me to get lost because I’m not sure what incentive we had to stay. We still weren’t even checked in and she was moving on to help someone else?? Why would we stay?? I didn’t mind at all that someone who checked in ahead of us would obviously be up first for the actual hair cut, but I had been physically standing there for 15 minutes and hadn’t yet even been put into the computer. I said, you know what, we’ll be taking our business somewhere else then. All we got was “are you sure…” As if it was a relief for her! No apologies, just “k see ya”. ???? Next time: offer helpful solutions, minimize time spent repeating the same action that’s obviously NOT working, and tell your OTHER customer that you’ll be with them in just a moment. You lost 2 potentially loyal customers in us.

I went once and was happy enough with my haircut. The store is new, clean and in a convenient location. I honestly felt the manager was a little cold and snippy though. You can not request a stylist. So if you are happy with your haircut, too bad. You can not make an appointment for another day either in person or online. You have to either go there and wait for the next available stylist or take the next appointment online. They do not offer any flexibility. It feels like they just want to cut hair with little to no personal service. Not the best business model in my opinion.
