Nothing against this location but the corporate policy to require customers to use an APP in order to get an appointment instead of calling or coming in person is why I will never give this company my business again.

I went to great clips today York crossing I show the women a picture of a cut I was not was a shag style I told her I didn’t want the back of my hair shaved up with clippers like a man she did the opposite of what I told her I didn’t want my hair shaped up in the back so short it will take months to grow out. this isn’t the first time I’ve had a bad experience with this great clips, I will never go there again. You show them pictures and they can’t even cut your hair anyway close to what you show them disgusted with the way she shaved my hair in the back. I won’t recommend anyone go to great clips at York crossings

They have great coupons right now; maybe it is because the East York location closed permanently? I go every 2-3 months and do the same thing, simple trim, no wash, use water if they prefer, long layers. I will not understand why the lady I had Tuesday late afternoon /evening. It felt she kept cutting and cutting. That’s the Longest trim I have ever experienced and my hair is or 5” shorter. :( I don’t believe I accumulated that much of dead ends but I also didn’t speak up, so I am at fault too.

I was Greeted by 2 very polite young ladies. I normally stick to having one of two other women there cut my hair, but I have been so busy with work and family I couldn't keep putting this off hoping to catch one of them when I had a free moment. Big mistake! The person cutting my hair that night seemed to understand that I was trying to correct how my layers were growing out in the back and ends. Just a little trim to the ends and no more layers in the back.. She also seemed to understand that I was not looking to cut off several inches to achieve these all in one appointment. I had explained that with the curl I have I can't cut off much at a time because of how curls shrink. She continued to try to reensure me that she completely understood. And before I knew it she combed my hair down and just started cutting straight across using my back to glide the scissors across the width of my back. I was ready to cry right then.. I also needed to reclaim my light whisky bangs I had. Though what she freshened up is a baby piece of hair that can only be seen when that tiny piece curls. It's awful. I had also noticed my front piece sides were a little uneven. She hadn't touched my front sides, this was from growth. She went through with her fingers to see what I meant, but then grabbed her scissors and the part of the side she cut was the side towars the back of my head. Not the front piece. My heart sank. I was done I knew at that point anything else I brought to her attention was only going to make this worse. I'm not a person that can deal with confrontation at all. So instead of trying to explain to her what she had just did was wrong, I just let it go. I definitely did not want her to try to make it even. I'm very disappointed. Everyone has noticed how bad it has turned out and how uneven it is. I'm too afraid to go back and lose more length. I went from having hair at almost mid back to now being a top of shoulder bob that is shorter in the back than the sides and longer on one side that the other. I have to wear my hair up for the next 3 months at least.. defeated the whole purpose to trim up the unevenness I was already having. My lesson was learned to just wait and keep trying to go in when the right people are working. It would've been better to wait even if it took a month for me to be able to go on a day they are in. But I have 2 work events, a birthday party as well as Easter coming up and I wanted to look good for these events. Now I'll be the librarian witb a bun. No pretty flowing curls to show off. The unevenness and length is too short.

Asked for halfway trim, they shaved my entire head and left me with not even half an inch. I had 5 inches of hair. That’s not halfway.

Checked in online for 2 people. Got there and one of us was seen. Another person walked in and they did not check in online. The stylist placed the persons name on top of ours and we sat there even longer waiting. She just said she is going to do hers and the other stylist working would get us. The other stylist decided to clean up and go home. Waited 30 more minutes to get a haircut.

Krystal is fantastic but she can't control the register. Being African American... walking in with your hair in its natural state and ask for a trim. Well to accomplish that.... blow drying to straighten the hair you have to do. She also flat ironed it. She used a serum on clean hair washed the night before. I didn't get hair washed, curled anything at all except for a trim. So I was charged by another worker 18.00 for haircut (keep in mind I'm the only one there... it's not busy at all) and 45.00 for a formal style. So 63.00 later. Again... no style, no curls, no wash... nothing but a blow dry and flat iron so she was comfortable trimming my hair. Please.... if anyone who has gone here... explain to me if I'm wrong for being a bit upset. Thank you. Have a great day. And again thank you Krystal.

While staff is pleasant, this is the second time I’ve gone to a Great Clips and they have not listened to what I have asked. Even when I bring pictures of my very own hair cut to the desired style and I’m very specific. I noticed my hair framing my face too short so I asked not to cut my hair to the same length she previously did on the right side yet she still proceeded to cut off when I asked her to keep on the left side. I don’t know what type of remediation is needed but clearly customers wishes should be heard and stylists should not just do what they want with someone’s hair because they think it looks good. Also asked for my hair to be longer in the front, it’s shortest in the front, makes no sense I’m so over this place. And great clips just lost a customer for life.

Woman had absolutely no idea how to cut a child’s fade haircut, paid $15 then left and had someone else cut it. Ladies spent more time talking w each other than paying attention to what they were doing.
