I came for a haircut/trim with Mick. I have been growing out my hair and Mick was patient and understanding. He took the time to make recommendations and let me ask questions, so I really appreciated his service. My appointment started on time and was very pleasant throughout.

Mick at Green Room salon in NYC is an absolute pro! I’ve been getting my hair cut by him for multiple years now and followed him between studios. At some point, he suggested I try highlights… As a guy with short hair, I wasn’t sure how they would turn out, but Mick nailed it. He gave me a natural, low-maintenance look that still stands out. The vibe and staff at Green Room is super chill, and I really look forward to coming here every few months. Mick’s attention to detail of course is the real secret though. I’m a loyal customer and highly recommend!

I've been seeing Yuki for a few years now and she's fantastic! I am amazed at how well these haircuts grow out. They still look fantastic months after I get them, it's magical and I don't know how she does it.

my favorite hair salon in NYC! i have gone to Mick many times and he is so friendly and kind. always does an amazing job cutting my hair, regardless of what style I am going for. overall atmosphere/vibe of the salon and the way it is decorated is fantastic as well. will always come back here!

Cannot recommend this place enough!!! Micky was the best! I went in there terrified cus I had a bad experience w a hairstylist a few years ago which left me avoiding hair salons. But he made sure I was loving it every step of the way and he did an amazing job! So happy I found this place

Got my hair done by Taka and could not have asked for a better experience! He was super attentive to detail and made sure I liked how my hair was looking every step of the way. Definitely make an appointment here!!

I am growing out a bad haircut. I do recognize not the easiest to work with. However, I remain traumatized from 70s haircuts by my mom. I always want the front to remain longer in length than the back. Horrible bowl haircuts. After stating this at least 4 times, I left tonight with the front shorter than the back. It is also a horrid haircut in the back. Going to head to the local barbershop to at least try to fix a bit. By the time I am done, this “haircut” will cost me over $200. Btw. It was 150 before I left the not so great LES spot. This is not a good place to get a short haircut for women.

I’ve been going to Yuki for my haircuts for almost two years and she does any amazing job every time 🫶 she does her best to give you the haircut you want, checks in the make sure you’re happy, and isn’t afraid to try more alternative hair styles. Highly recommend!!

Mick has cut my hair for almost a year, he’s great! I usually just show him one picture and he brings it to life. Very kind and thorough. I highly recommend you getting a haircut with Mick. There are quite a few good stylists in NYC, but very few great collaborators. Mick has worked with my difficult hair (thick back, thin front, odd cowlicks, grey roots) for about six months now. He asks smart questions and gives good choices. His scalp massages are The Best.

Yuki is still amazing as ever! She's been cutting my hair for over 10 years and truly knows her craft. Till this day, I still get compliments whenever I get my haircut. Love the way my hair grows out nicely which is a testament to her skill. I hope she'll be around forever! Highly recommend!

Mick is awesome! I’ve been coming to him for many haircuts. He’s very talented and can cut any style you want while considering your head and face shape as well as your hair type. He also gives the best head massage while washing your hair. I look forward to the wash just as much as the cut. Give him a try, you won’t regret it!

Taka gave me maybe one of the best haircuts of my life. What I loved about this haircut was that he cut my hair to the style I wanted. After showing him a couple of photos, he managed to put together a near replica of what I was imagining in my head. I've never gotten as many compliments on a haircut as I have after this one. 10/10 haircut - mick is amazinggg and gave me exactly what i wanted! he’s so sweet and was very attentive to my requests. he also gave me lots of helpful tips on styling my hair. overall was a great experience, i’m super happy with how my hair turned out :D

I’ve been getting my hair cut by Taka for over a year, and it has always been a great experience. I always show him a picture, and he can perfectly recreate my desired hairstyle every time. Taka is awesome, knowledgeable, and professional. He always gives great recommendations on styling my hair and suggestions on things I can try on my next visit. Overall, I enjoy my conversations with Taka. The salon itself has a relaxing and welcoming environment. I highly recommend Taka and the Green Room NYC!

I’ve been here twice and the stylist (Mick) who does my hair gets it right everytime! He is very nice and listens to what you want as well as gives suggestions on what would be better depending on your hair.

I’ve seen Mick a few times now, and was a frequenter of a few JP salons in nyc (oops). He does a really amazing job of understanding what you want and executes it perfectly while just being just the cutest little ray of sunshine. I tend to want pretty specific or complex dye/cut jobs, and this is one of the two places I will always go back to. Highly recommend this salon.

Mick is an artist. I struggled to find a good hair stylist since moving from California and he did not disappoint at all. He was super friendly, welcoming, and he definitely he knew his stuff. Also really loved the vibes at Green Room in general!

Mick was so nice and welcoming, I feel like he really heard and understood what I wanted for a haircut, and I liked the way he explained the root touch up process! I also appreciate that he didn’t put any pressure on me when making a decision. I feel like he really values and seeks customers opinion to make sure we are happy with the result :-) I had gone to a previous salon before to get my hair colored, my roots had grown in a lot and we weren’t sure if we were able to get the exact match, but Micks magic was able to achieve a seamless transition!! (I’m still shocked!!!) I will definitely remember how to style my hair the way he did at the salon thanks to the tutorial he was kind enough to demonstrate to me 😊This was my first time at the salon, I love my hair color and my new haircut, I feel like a new women :) I will definitely be back!! I took my daughter here today for highlights, it was her first time getting them. Mick was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to listen to her concerns and desires before making any recommendations. He gave her a thorough consultation and made sure we were both comfortable with the plan before proceeding. Throughout the appointment, he explained every step of the process and made sure she was happy with the result. She truly cannot be any happier with the results and neither can I! It looks fantastic!!!! I HIGHLY recommend Mick!

I'm so happy I found this salon!! Mick is a magician!! I came in with horrible dry, damaged hair and he gave it so much new life and bounce. He also really took the time to ask about my preferences, understand how I styled my hair day to day, and give me some great tips about how to dry and style my new cut.
