Meg color-blocked my hair beige/ash grey, and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out—it’s PERFECT. During the consultation, she took the time to explain what was and wasn’t possible with my hair history, and I really appreciated her honesty and knowledge. Her bleach work is on another level—so detailed, careful, and skilled. And the cut? I’m in love with my refreshed layers and curtain bangs!! I’m so grateful to have found such an amazing stylist in NY. Meg is so talented, thoughtful, and just all-around wonderful.

Was recommended to see King by a friend and he did not disappoint! He was professional and took the time to listen to what I was looking for while addressing all my concerns. He made sure the haircut suited my facial proportions and was precise with his techniques. I’m happy with the result and plan to go back for my next cut!

GreenBone sets a high standard for hair salons--they prioritize hair excellence and their clients, and their attention to detail and hair knowledge is impressive. This place is a must if you're looking for a stylish hair cut or trendy color! This was my first time there & I had a wonderful experience--I would highly recommend to all my friends and beyond. Meg cut, colored, and styled my hair and I was blown away by the results. I'm seriously obsessed with the results and it's one of my favorite hair colors/ styles I've ever done to date :) The assistant also did a wonderful job bleaching my hair--the bleach felt gentle, and it was done quickly and very methodically. I'm ESPECIALLY impressed with the color accuracy that Meg is able to execute. I normally gravitate towards pastels with peekaboo highlights, which tends to be challenging. But she really brought my hair vision to life, and her talent is really reflected in her work. This was also my first time getting something other than a hime cut in 4 years--I kept the hime bangs but went for a hush cut, and the cut and style turned out phenomenal. Highly highly recommend Meg, she's super sweet and a color magician! If you need a color/cut done you won't regret coming here.

I have been bleaching my hair with breaks in between for over 15 years. And in that time, with all the salons in New York City, there is truly - TRULY - no other master of bleach than Meg. I had an unfortunate bleach booboo from a reputable salon. I showed her the splotchy bleach before coming in. Upon entry a stylist I used to go to laughed (not very professional but it was pretty bad) But Meg? Meg came forward with grace, care, evaluated my hair, and after three different formulas, BOOM. The most incredibly even, stunning correction ever. I was floored. I don’t know why she helped me, it was a really tough challenge. But I am SO glad she did. Since then I have been devoted to Meg. Meg is creative while prioritizing the health of my hair. She takes time to understand your vision, will share her thoughts and ensure you are aligned. She also knows most of my secrets and we have so much fun together - her client relationship skills are unparalleled. I always feel safe to ask for clarification without judgement. I have had a range of the perfect blonde bleach for my skin tone with accents in lime, lavender + purple, then moved to all over dark orange + orange and my favorite, orange/pinky-red before going dark. Now I am letting my hair grow out to come back to her with a fresh palette! I am jealous of everyone who can get their hair done by Meg now - her bookings have to be done a month or so in advance, at times I will even book my next appointment while I am in the chair with her. So be it a touch up, or a new look, prepare for Meg to exceed your expectations. Every. Time.

I went to Meg to go plat after having been blonde before and toning my hair darker. She thoroughly communicated what is and isn’t possible given my history, and all the maintenance required for what I wanted to achieve. Always a great experience with her!!

I've been to every high end salon below 60th street that specializes in blonde hair/ curly hair. For the last many years I've paid obscene amounts of money to get gorgeous natural sunny beach blonde highlights, and generally left dissatisfied. Until I met Meg, that is. OMG. Meg is a magician/wizard/hair whisperer. I don't know how she does it, but she somehow gives me the kind of angelic blond color that lasts and lasts, in fact it gets BETTER with time. No more brassy blond color, she is so thoughtful and methodical about her color jobs, and her cuts are phenomenal too. I get stopped once a week with people asking me where I get my hair colored. I'm afraid that I'm telling too many people about her, but I'm no gatekeeper, the world should know the magic of Meg!

First time in my whole life dying hair to red! KING IS SOOOOO GOOOD! I showed a picture of the color I want, he did exactly the same color! I’m in love with my new hair color! I’ve only gotten one haircut at another salon since I’ve moved to NYC. I had a hard time finding someone who does the edgier cuts I’m into, at a price that wouldn’t break the bank. So happy I found GreenBone, I’ve gone to Meg twice now to get a cut and she has blown away my expectations both times. She pays so much attention to detail, and listened to everything I wanted to be done—but also personalized the haircut to the shape of my face. Not to mention, she’s just a lovely person to hang with. I look forward to being in her chair and being able to chat with her. :) I don’t plan on going to anyone else for my hair—I’m so satisfied with the cuts from Meg, super excited to do color with her sometime in the future! <3

King is the best hairdresser out there if you want to trust him with your hair. I came in wanting to dye my hair and was opened to any kind of color because I wanted a change; after getting a test strand done he was transparent with me but didn't make me feel bad about not being able to go for a color change today due to my hair health. Instead we just went for a nice long layered wolf haircut. The way he puts the time and care for your hair while doing blowouts is impeckable. If he wanted to kill my hair he could've charged me extra and went for a color session but it's the reassurance that made me still feel good even though it was just a haircut. He told me to come back in a couple of months. Shout out to his assistant too, He was so gentle with washing my hair and working with me. Although he's still learning english, I could tell he was genuine and kind with care in washing hair and willing to learn new phrases. Cheers to GreenBone hair salon's team for making me feel so comfortable! I'll definitely be back.

ever since moving to new york king is the onlyyy person i will trust with my crazy hair requests!! he is a perfectionist which is exactly what you need when you want the best possible hair. always gives his honest opinion and will prioritize hair health while still doing whatever possible to get your dream style. his assistant lily is the sweetest and does an amazing job 🥺 the new shop is also really lovely and clean and in a super cute neighborhood with tons of food nearby!! highly recommend and get your appointment ahead of time because they book up fast 🤭

Meg is the one of the best hair stylists in NYC! I have been seeing Meg for years. She always starts with a deep counseling session so that we can be on the same page. She can also suggests me with variety of arrangements with the new hair style. Since I have multiple hair bleach history, she tells me what she can do and can’t do. She’d be very honest about that but she’ll try her best for the best outcome. I had balayage, money piece, peekaboo hair dye (as picture shown), and she never failed to surprise me with the results. I feel very pretty every time she does my hair! Most importantly, she is a very sweet person who tries her hardest to make us happy and smile with her work♥️ Highly, highly, HIGHYLY recommended Meg!
