I can’t say enough amazing things about this place!! Erin was so nice, welcoming, and I felt super comfortable the entire time. I’ve never had a stylist who really knew what colors would work well with my hair until now. I came in wanting professional yet edgy, and they were able to do exactly that!! Not only did I leave absolutely loving my hair, but I was also given tips and recommendations regarding hair care, maintenance, and products for my curly/wavy hair. Added bonus— sipped on a free seltzer water the entire time :) 100 percent HIGHLY recommend Erin and the salon!!! They definitely know their stuff!

He has a natural talent and that goes along with the ability to listen to what the client wants! I had a walk in, last minute appointment and was paired with STN yesterday. First off I want to say about the space is so comfortable and inviting but also very whimsical and artsy which I appreciate. The gorgeous woman who welcomed me into the salon was also so sweet and made just me feel very welcome with a few words. My hair has always been a point of contention for myself and he was able to quiet down my insecurities and also build me up about my what I thought was dying brittle balding head of hair. (I have new growth yay !!) STN And I immediately hit it off in a way that only someone who is incredibly authentic, approachable and genuinely altruistic can be. Even though I was the last appointment with no appointment of the day, he took his time and made sure to really listen to why I even came in what I was looking for and then gave me such a perfect service for my hair. The artistry and precision in which the layers he gave me were executed. I'm still in awe because they are still just beautiful bouncy and soft even after I slept like an absolute goblin last night. STN is such an incredible stylist and can see exactly what your hair needs. He is so able to communicate the plan and also take into account what your goals are and I think that it's so important for anyone in the beauty industry. I'm so blown away by the service, the space and the staff at this salon. I'm literally never going anywhere else. They're not going to be able to get rid of me. STN is the best !!!

I've been going to Estienne for years and keep coming back because of how knowledgeable he is and how he's not happy with the result unless I am. He stands behind his personal 7 day satisfaction guarantee, even though I've never had any complaints with his work. I get a men's short curly cut and highlights with toner (to dye at home), and I've never once been disappointed. He's incredible personable, and always has wild stories to share if you ask. (Pro tip: Ask him about his dog for some quality entertainment and heart-melting photos.)

Estienne made the whole experience soo fun and enjoyable! We had a good rapport and he is very knowledgeable. He explained the process to me very well and when I showed him my inspiration he mixed the perfect colors for me. My hair came out absolutely gorgeous, the photos on my phone don't even do it justice, honestly! And he's a lot fo fun to be around! I 10/10 recommend doing business with him!

I’ve been going to Estienne for a few years now, and they are always fantastic. When I moved to KC I was trying to find someone who was good with curly hair…and a place that didn’t feel too stuffy. Estienne always puts be completely at ease and they have a ton of natural skill cutting and styling my hair type. I highly recommend them!

Kat has been doing my hair for years- and for a good reason! As a redhead, some hair stylists don’t always get the tone of my hair to quite go with my skin tone well and that can leave me looking washed out- but Kat hits the right tone every time. She even will add some additional ideas she had since we last met which gives my hair even more dimension and life than the previous time! She is absolutely fantastic at color- especially for this redhead!

He was absolutely fantastic to work with because he helped me assess the style that would work best for my hair and then he did his amazing magic and transformed me from frumpy hair to Fabulous Hair! I made an appointment to get my hair done with Estienne for a short hair cut and vivid coloring. I wanted to get the calico hair coloring which is dark brown, blonde and copper. Estienne was able to correct my previous coloring flawlessly and by the time he had finished the calico coloring it was so beautiful. My hair looked better than the inspo pictures and everyone I showed my hair to was shocked with how amazing it looked. I could not be happier with my hair. On top of all that he is very professional and kind. He is dedicated and does explain what he’s doing along the way. He really went above and beyond on my hair and i couldn’t be more grateful.

I’ve been coming here for the past three years! Very friendly, accommodating, and welcoming space. I’ve gotten my hair dyed, permed, cut, and trimmed etc. Erin is super friendly and helpful. It’s a very laid back and relaxed environment. Would 100% trust them with anything hair related.

You made my very hot very beautiful very cute girlfriend feel ugly and that is absolutely unacceptable. She asked for a shoulder length haircut and they cut it so much shorter, the hair is nowhere near her shoulders. It's going to take her at least 6 months to grow it back anywhere close to that. The stylist's excuse was that shoulder length can be interpreted many different ways - if you showed her cut to anyone in the world they would not characterize it that way. The holidays are supposed to be filled with joy but you have snatched that away and made it full of sorrow. I hope you rue the day Kat

Got Hair Midtown made me feel absolutely beautiful for my wedding day last month! The day before my wedding I was able to get a trim and have my hair done so lovely. The staff was very friendly and the salon has a cute, calming atmosphere. They were also able to fit in my (now) mother-in-law for a quick styling the next day, and her hair looked amazing for the wedding! If I could give more stars I would, and I can't wait to make another appointment.

I cannot rave enough about the curly haircuts I have gotten at Got Hair with Estienne over the last several years! He’s amazing with my curly, silver hair and OMG ! .. the amount of compliments I get on my hair is really insane. As I am in my early 60’s and like to keep myself stylish , I LOVE when the young girls rave about my hair .. that’s especially meaningful to me 🥰🥰 Estienne is a doll and I give him total reign over my curly head !

I’ve been getting my hair cut by Estienne for a few months now. After YEARS of trying to explain to barbers and hair stylists how I wanted my hair, they’re the first person to finally understand and deliver exactly what I’ve been wanting! 🥰 and it’s just always so fun getting my haircut there. My scalp is burning still, the people are cool but I really feel like kat doesn’t know what she’s doing and is to distracted when working. She tried many times to “fix” her mistakes but it just got worse kept putting really Cold water on my hair (The water got all over me my bra was soaked from water dripping down me!) to make things worse she brought in another person who I’m pretty sure was intoxicated to work on my hair with her the whole time he was pulling so hard my head was being yanked, I even told kat “hey I had a neck injury” “ please be more careful” she stormed off came back and they both where pulling my hair harder trying to “wash it out” to end she and he tried to get me to leave with out even drying my hair she wanted to just dry a little piece so I could see the “color” then wanted me to leave I made sure she blow dryed all of it instead. When it was done it was horrible I was holding back tears I’ll show a pic of what I showed her I wanted and what I got

I came for an appointment scheduled with a different stylist 3 months ago, only to find out they were no longer there. Erin stepped right up and got me into her chair the next day! She did a fab job on my Bettie Page bangs and trim that day and at my 2nd appointment with her yesterday. I know it's just bangs, but y'all don't know how baaaad someone did years ago! I did a better job with my mom's pinking shears at 5 than what got done at a "hair chain" salon. Ever since, I've used stylist's that aren't in training anymore and paid what their services are worth! She even took the time to teach me how to properly do a bouffant yesterday!! I've watched soooo many YouTube vids trying to do it and she was so patient and kind in her tutorial! Watch out big hair! Here I come with my rat tail comb! ;)

I have been getting my hair done by Kat for several years now. She has taken me from brown to blonde and kept me blonde until I decided I wanted to go back brown. She taught me about extensions and kept my extensions beautifully colored and upkept for over a year. She has always cut it how I asked. 10/10 I would recommend her to anyone!

Erin truly went above and beyond! Not only did she listen attentively to my hair preferences and deliver the perfect haircut transformation, but they also took the time to educate me on how to care for and style my hair at home, explaining each step patiently. The salon itself is such a warm, welcoming, and safe place. I felt so comfortable the entire time. Overall, Erin is not just a skilled hairdresser but also a wonderful person who GENUINELY cares about her customers and the KC community. Highly rec!!

I paid $270 for partial beige highlights but had got rusty coppery ones instead. The stylist blamed it on my previously dyed hair. It was frustrating to waste so much money and 4.5 hours of my time with an incompetent hair stylist. When I expressed my disappointment, she dared to ask if she could take photos of my hair to showcase her skills. Then she asked me to return to fix it, telling me the colors would change when I shampooed my hair next time. I asked her if the rust color would magically morph into my desired color again, and she blamed me for the hair dye I used. She looked at the brand of my hair color, and with her scientific knowledge, she reiterated that was the problem. It was very comical. She styled my hair without asking me how I wanted it and left the front unfinished because she didn't know how I liked it. It was ridiculous. On the plus side, she seemed nice. She kept me comfortable and washed my hair with freezing water.
